Anju thanks 4 sharing, i loved his interview.
He liked aam bagicha scene, which made me kesarmania.
I hope he comes wid new show where he will repeat the cast of gulaal( - new pb).
After gulaal was over i started watching bv in hope to see neil as new lead ( sorry i m too desperate for his come back).
And when i saw part of epi where new collector plays dhol and anandi dances, it reminded me of gulaal. The set used for village, bg , dunni in bv makes me cry and i miss gulaal more.

I hope to see the combo of gulaal's cast n crew again in new magical wonderful show:-)

words...even me and piu use to watch the show in hope to see neil in BV and boy it was a huge disappointment and then stealing our aam ka bageecha was worst

kya din the pehle humare aam ka bageeche mein kes-gul romance karte the... ab horse par beitha arrogant donkey run kar raha hai 😡

yes anj it was such a big surprise coz as we all are aware... all the media portals run behind the high TRP shows ignoring the real masterpieces like Gulaal. So hats off you to bring us such a high quality news portal. i am really impressed with the content and the questions being asked. loved gaurav's interview too. interviewer should be well aware of the background of the person ...and you just proved that in your questions. I have seen so many interviews where the interviewer does not have an iota of knowledge about the person so end up asking some really baseless questions.
I am so looking forwards to your next issue yaar.

havent read all the interviews from current but i will definitely coz they are really treat to read...

Thanks for doing this ! Feels really special ! And I liked his answers about Dushyant and Durgesh...they were really well crafted and layered characters, I couldn't bring myself to hate Dushyant at all. I sort of agree with him about the initial premise of Gulaal (being about the girl who could find water) going wrong with the viewers even though Gulaal as a soap was about much much more than that. Nice to know his views about it :)

Thank you so much for this! What a BRILLIANT interview...absolutely LOVED reading it!

This show truly was a MASTERPIECE, a class apart and it's so nice to read about the passion from the creative minds behind it...

The orchard scene seems to be a special favorite of the director...awww...that really was a magical scene.

And I loved what he pointed out about the complexity of GK and the delicacy with which they had to handle the relationship given how it had evolved over time and I have to say they did it BRILLIANTLY...

The fact that he remembers so many of the brilliant scenes in the show so vividly also speaks for how much heart and soul went into this show...It will always remain epic for us...would truly love to see this team back with another great show someday too but yes Gulaal will always be remembered for the masterpiece it was.

Thanks for posting - and thanks for that PM Doc 🤗

Ganga actually shared the link of this interview with me some days back and I'm just going to copy past my reply from the email - which was like my first excited reaction after reading it!

---

Thanks for sharing that one! It made for an insightful read - I think looking at any thing from the range of "team members" involved povs is always this process of looking at the show beyond what it on the screen! Like looking at the mind and thought that was undergoing it all!

When I read once, twice, and so on about his penchant for the aam bagh scene, I wondered for a moment why just that - as a viewer there were other scenes we definitely liked more even if that one was mesmerizing in a never grow old sense - but then he talked about how creation of that scene had gone. How there was a concept and it was being built right there, unfolding each moment of being shot - and I could see the sense of serendipity he felt in the final product! Those kind of thoughts behind the scenes make looking at a show like Gulaal even more rich!

And I loved how he talked about working with a team of actors all so creative and thoughtful and such pros! Truly, a MUCH richer experience to be on a team where people know their work so well, that the whole team sort of contributes to the big picture in so many layers!

Just read NBT's director's interview this week, and now this man - one of those rare times and TWICE in a week where you actually hear the thoughtful artists and creators talk about what goes inside their head - such a feeling of content even as just viewer!

Thanks again for sharing!

Great stuff hearing from these makers of shows as timelessly epic as Gulaal! 👏

Thank You Anjal. Hats off to you and your entire team for coming up with such a brilliant interview of Mr.Sidharth Sengupta! Loved reading it. Never knew that aam bageecha scene was his favorite too, well.. it was one of the most amazing scenes we have had in Gulaal. All the questions were really interesting which made the director to give detailed answers and that obviously made an interesting read.. (especially, loved his explanation about Kesar and Gulaal's relationship). Special thanks to the director for that!

Everything about the show was special and unique in its own way and no wonder it was a masterpiece!

My best wishes to the director for all his forthcoming projects.

Loved this issue and looking forward to the next one. All the best to the entire team of Tinsel Gupshup.
