After 20 years:
It was a sweet, blissful morning... the sun was shining brightly in the sky, spreading its rays in every nook n corner of the world. The chirping of birds' n the sound of blowing wind was like music to the ears. People vr happily going around here n there, busy doing their usual chores, not noticing that girl with normal height n simple looks...
There was not much traffic on the roads at that time n this seemed to be the very reason for her to walk so confidently near the middle of the road. Everything seemed to be normal except "that girl"... Yes !! That girl !!
If someone had observed closely, he would have found that the girl was walking in a trance !
Suddenly, the black clouds started to gather above her n a thunder storm started to blow. It started to rain very heavily. The girl opened her eyes wide n looked around her, snapping out of her trance instantly...
" Main kahan hoon? Ye sab kya ho raha hai? "
At that very moment, she saw a black cloud coming towards her very fast, she heard lots of running footsteps approaching her...
She started to get frightened,
" Nahi ! Main ne kuch nahi kiya, main ne kuch nahi kiya ! "
The footsteps can be heard closer now,
"M...mm...main... mujhe chupna hoga !! warna yeh log mujhe maar denge... sab maar dalenge mujhe !! "
The girl started to run, she ran as fast as her legs n her stamina allowed her to. The view around her kept changing... the buildings around her kept becoming large n small... until she reached a place which looked like a cliff edge...
It was dark all around, only a little light made her understand that she has reached a dead end ! There was no where to escape !! She started shivering...
" Ab main kya karoon? Kahan jaoon? Main marna nahi chahti ! "
Only the footsteps vr heard previously but now, those people can also be seen. They vr having horrifying appearance n vr approaching towards her very fast... they nearly reached her...
She heard some voices... some people saying "han yehi hai woh... ise raaste se hatana hai hamen"
She started backing out... being very afraid, not realizing that only one or two steps more n she would fall off that cliff with her soul leaving the body n the body disappearing in the depth of those huge mountains where it would be impossible to know that where did it go...
She took those 2 steps n slipped from the edge... her senses stopped working n she could just feel herself falling down...
" Nahiii iii iii iii !! "
A loud cry echoed in the mountains !!!
It was all of a sudden when two hands got hold of her hands n pulled her close n she remembered that pair of beautiful eyes...
Suddenly the view changes, all the black clouds n the people who wanted to harm her, vanish. A happy place was in front of that girl. People going around being happy n having fun in their lives. Kids running here n there n greenery all around when two hands encircled her from behind n whispered in her ears: "I love u Gulaal" n she happily turns around to find her reason of existence, standing there n looking into her eyes with love.
She hugs him tightly n whispers to him: "I love u too Kesar" n they both smile being all content n happy.
Gulaal's eyes opened with a voice. This was a dream n she woke up smiling.
Megha: "Maa, koi sapna dekha kya?" n she giggled, "jaisay ap smile kar rahi theen, lagta hai papa hi thay sapnay men bhi"
Gulaal smiled: "Chup kar, aik tu aur aik tere papa, dono bas mujhay chertay hi rehtay ho haan, acha sham ho gayi kya?"
Megha: "Ji maa, aur papa bahar bula rahay hen aap ko... aur maa u know, yeh rohan ko main aaj nahi chorun gi, mujhay keh k gaya k notes laa dega, sham hogayi aur ghayab hai, ghoom raha hoga na apni kisi girl friend k saath, Megha Kesar Khanna ko dhoka diya, notes k bahanay ghayab, huh, anay do usay I vl see him !!!"
Gulaal: "Megha beta, kya tum log lartay rehtay ho har waqt, aur uski koi girl friend nahi hai tujhe pata hai na"
Megha: "Aray maa, ap ko nahi pata, zaroor uski 4, 5..."
Rohan: "Kon kya keh raha hai mere baray men ..."
Megha was so surprised n puzzled. Her words got jumbled up n this used to happen from the day when she saw an immense amount of love in rohan's eyes n this all was just for her.
Megha gulped down: "Nahi main toh bas..."
Rohan came n sat closer to them realizing the awkwardness on megha's face. "Wese haan, theek hi hai na, chichi, yeh bilkul sahi keh rahi hai, actually meri na, 5, nahi 6 girl friends hen, daily aik larki k saath date pe jaata hoon, wah what a life"
Megha was surprised to hear all this n got angry n marched out from there while rohan n gulaal's laughter followed her.
Gulaal: "Pagal ho dono, ja ab ja k mana usay, chal bhaag" n rohan shyly smiled n went behind her.
Gulaal smiled widely n went near the window to look down in the garden so that she could see kesar, "aray kesar kahan gaya, megha ne toh kaha tha bahar hai, phir" n two hands encircled her from behind, "Kis ka intezaar ho raha hai ji"
Gulaal quickly turned around, "aray kya kar raha hai, kuch sharam kar, ab toh hamaray bachay bhi baray ho gaye"
Kesar: "Haan toh? Dekh gulaal hum koi boorhey nahi ho gaye hen, haan bachay zaroor baray ho gaye... rewa ka phone aya tha, raat ko ayegi apni beti veera k saath"
Gulaal: "Oh shukar hai, warna main toh soch rahi thi bachon se shadi ki baat kese karoon, mera matlab yeh megha aur rohan kitna lartay hen tujhe toh pata hai na, pata chala apni awkwardness chupane k liye phir larne ne baith jayen"
Kesar: "Hahahaha nahi yaar, tum jaanti toh ho na dono ko, is larayi men hi toh un ka pyaar chupa hai... mujhay yakeen hai k yeh sab sun k dono sharam se bas haan men ser hila denge"
Gulaal: "Kesar ji, rohan toh haan men ser hila dega lekin yeh megha jo aap pe gayi hai poori, who kahan itni asaani se haan bolegi" n she smiled widely.
Kesar: "Oho, abhi raat tak rewa aur veera arahe hen na, in sab k saamne hi araam se baat karlenge" n they looked at a photo frame on their room's wall which had garland around it.
Kesar: "Mota bha bhi aaj hotay toh..."
Gulaal: "Haan kesar, un ki kami toh hamesha rahegi, lekin paan ba hain na hamare saath" n then she was lost in some thoughts.
Gulaal: "Us din jo hua kesar... woh toh bhulaye hi nahi jaata..."
Kesar: "Haan gulaal, us din jab tujhe goliyaan lagi theen, main toh samjho mar gaya tha, mujhay laga tha mera sab kuch chin gaya mujh se, tu mere hathon men behosh hui aur mujhay laga kesar hi khatam ho gaya... police k wahan se le kar tujhe hospital le janay tak bhi hosh nahi tha mujhay, sab apni ankhon se dekh k bhi kuch samajh nahi araha tha, hospital men sab kab puhanchay, commissioner sahib ne kaisay inform kiya sab ko, kuch samajh nahi aya tha mujhay"
Gulaal: "Han kesar, mere paas jab ghar pe phone aya tha k teri jaan khatray men hai aur main us address pe puhanchun, main toh bina kisi ko kuch kahay foran wahan ayi thi lekin wahan pet oh sab kuch ..."
Kesar: "Haan tujhe wahan dekh k hairaan toh main bhi tha"
Gulaal: "Kesar, tu ne dushyant ko maar diya lekin shukar tujhe saza nahi hui"
Kesar: "Kesay hoti saza gulaal, commissioner sahab ne khud gawahi di thi mere haq men, aur jab tak hospital men doctor ne yeh nahi kaha tha k tu khatray se bahar hai, meri toh jaan atki hui thi" n he hugged her again, "pooray 10 din baad hosh aya tha tujhe gulaal, lekin shukar hai k sab jald hi theek ho gaya"
Gulaal: "Kesar, is sab ka asar mota bha pe bohot bura para... who yeh sab bardasht hi nahi kar paaye aur un ki sehat girti chali gayi"
Kesar: "Per gulaal, who apne akhri waqt men hamen dekh k bohot khush thay, apne bachon k bachon ko bhi daikh liya unho ne, mota bha ko gaye 10 saal guzar gaye aur us haadsay ko 20 saal per lagta hai kal ki hi baat hai"
Gulaal: "Kesar yeh sapna jo meri zindagi k saath juda hai, waqai men aik ishara hi tha, hamesha se meri zindagi men tera ahsaas maujood tha, aur who sapna theek hi tha, tu na hota toh aj main bhi is dunya men nahi hoti"
Kesar put his hand on her mouth: "Gulaal, chup reh !! aaj bol diya per ab dobara aisa mat bolna"
Gulaal took kesar's hand in her hand which was placed on her mouth n smiled: "Acha baba nahi kahoon gi, chal yeh sab baatein nahi karte, beeti baatein yaad kar k dukh hi hoga, hamen toh ab apne aaj k baray men sochna hai aura nay walay kal k baray men, hai na??" n they smiled while looking at each other.
Kesar: "Acha tu bahar aa ja, sab bahar hi hain" n he left the room smiling while gulaal was having flashback of what happened 20 years ago...

Hospital Room:
Kesar: "Doctor plz kuch bhi kijiye meri gulaal ko bacha li jiye doctor"
Doctor: "Dekhiye aap dheeraj rakhiye, nurse plz inhen operation room se bahar le jayiye, mr. kesar plz ap khud ko sambhaliye, hum koshish kar rahe hen, ap plz bahar bethiye"
After 4 hours:
Doctor: "Mrs. Kesar ka khoon bohot beh chukka hai, hamen urgently B+ blood required hai, aur hamare hosp men coincidently is waqt blood available nahi hai, ap log plz blood ka arrange karwayen jaldi, ya aap ki family men se koi..."
Kesar: "Doctor mera blood group O+ hai, mera blood gulaal ko diya ja sakta hai, plz aap meray jism se khoon ki aik aik boondh le len lekin meri gulaal ko bacha len, doctor plz doctor..."
Doctor: "Oh, yeh toh bohot hi achi baat hai, aur dheeraj rakhiye kesar ji, aisa ittefaq kam hi dekha gaya hai aik patni ko bachanay k liye hum us k pati ka khoon len, hamesha hum doosray logon se poochtay hen ya blood banks men koshish karte hen, lekin shayad yeh sab aisay hi likha gaya tha... nurse plz jaldi inhe room men le kar ayiye"
After 10 days:
Gulaal slowly opened her eyes n kesar felt like he has got all the treasures of this world. He sat beside gulaal n slowly called her name:
"Gulaal, gulaal, dekh tera kesar tere paas hai... gulaal"
"Kesa..r..rr..."
"Haan, dekh main hun tere paas" n he kissed her forehead gently, "dekha gulaal, tu agayi na wapas mere paas, meri gulaal agayi mere paas" n two drops of tears fell from his eyes.
Doctor said while smiling: "Good morning mrs. Kesar... kesi hen aap? U know aap kitni lucky hen, ap k husband jo aap k saath rahay hen yeh poora waqt, agar yeh aur in ki duaen na hotein toh hum bhi kuch nahi kar paatay"
Gulaal looked at doctor n kesar with so many questions in her eyes.
Doctor: "Mr. kesar toh bohot hi pareshan thay, ro ro k apna haal bura kar liya tha inho ne lekin in ki duaen hi ap ko waapis le aeen aur haan aik aur baat, inho ne toh sahi tareekay se apne pati hone ka farz nibhaya hai, ap ko khoon ki zaroorat thi, aur in ka hi khoon de k aap ko bachaya ja saka, u really r very lucky mrs. Kesar, aur ab aap pehlay se kaafi behtar hen, I hope kuch dinon men ap ko discharge kar saken ge" n he smiled looking at kesar n patted his shoulder, "everything is fine kesar ji, bas ab aap sab tensions chor dijiye" n he left.
Gulaal slowly put her hand on kesar's hand n tried to smiled slightly. Kesar hold her hand in his n kissed it.
Gulaal: "Kesar... tu ne... aaj woh sapna... sapna bhi... sach kar diya... tu meri kismet men hame... hamesha tha per... main... hi samajh nahi... paayi thi..."
Kesar: "Shhh gulaal, bas abhi koi baat nahi, tujhe jaldi theek hona hai na, phir ghar jaana hai, hamari nayi zindagi, hamari khushiyaan, sab hamara intezaar kar rahi hain"

Gulaal looked at the frame that she was holding in her hand right now. The frame contained a picture of her whole happy family. A drop of tear fell on the frame n she smiled peacefully n put that back on the side table as she was now able to hear the laughter from outside. Megha, Rohan n Varun were again teasing each other about something n Paan Ba n Kesar were laughing on that. She quickly went outside as she also wanted to join her family members.

At night, rewa, her husband n veera arrived at their house. Gulaal, kesar, paan ba n rohan n varun greeted them.
After that incident, police had arrested raman n sudha but due to her mental condition after witnessing the death of her brother, she was sent to mental asylum. Paan ba had realized her mistake when gulaal put her life in danger to save kesar. She realized that she was not bringing harm for kesar, instead she acted as a shield n saved him from all harms. She had asked for forgiveness from gulaal in the hospital n gulaal whole heartedly hugged her as she had always considered her as her mother. Gulaal n Kesar had two children. A daughter Megha, n a son Aarav. They had taken care of Rohan n Varun as their mother n father n the children also loved them so much. With the years passing, the children grew up n rohan n megha started to have a soft corner for each other in their hearts which soon blossomed into an unconditional love. Their elders witnessed this n decided to fix their marriage soon.
Their marriage proposal was put forward in front of the family members n the glow on rohan's face n blush on megha's cheeks said it all. Then the teasing sessions began n although being a confident person, megha was still not able to handle all this n ran inside smiling. The youngsters followed her while the elders began to decide about the date for their marriage.
At night (11 pm):
Gulaal was standing in front of the mirror n was smiling wholeheartedly while thinking about her life n family. When she was about to turn around, kesar's hands got hold of her shoulders n again turned her towards the mirror n slowly n carefully placed the saffron flower in her hairs n gently kissed her forehead. Gulaal smiled at him.
"Yeh laana nahi bhoolta na tu kabhi" she said while smiling n they both looking at each other in the mirror.
"Kaisay bhool sakta hoon gulaal, aakhir 20 saal purani adat jo hai" he also smiled while looking at her while she turned around to face him now.
"Zindagi kitni badal gayi na kesar... kitnay saal, kitnay mausam aye aur guzar gaye"
"Haan gulaal... waqt kisi k liye rukta kahan hai, yeh toh hamesha guzarta hi rehta hai, din maheenon men aur maheenon saalon men badal jaatay hen, nahi badaltay hen toh bas woh rishtay jo pyar aur vishwaas ki dor si bandhay hotay hen"
"Haan kesar, jaisa hamara rishta... aur jese ab aik aur naya rishta jurnay ja raha hai, pyar aur rishtay kabhi khatam nahi hotay bas apna roop badal letay hen, aj hamara tha, kal anay waalay logon ka hoga, aaj tak ki kahani hamari thi lekin agay ki kahani in anay waalay logon ki hogi"
"Per jo nahi badlay ga woh hai hamara pyaar aur hamara saath, kesar aur gulaal hamesha se aik doosray k thay, hain, aur aik doosray k hi rahen ge"
"Haan kesar, hamesha" n she smiled being very contented, "yehi toh safar hota hai khawab se le k haqiqat tak ka, bas hamen yeh samajhne men waqt lag jaata hai k kya hamara khuwab hai aur kya hamari kismat" n they both hugged each other knowing that happy times have come to stay in their lives for a long time now.
