Beautifully said!👏👏...Indeed Kesar too has gone though a lot of pain in this entire journey/process of becoming the man he is today...today we saw his vulnerability and yearning after many days...we have been viewing everything from Kesar's eyes for so many days that everything had become Gulaal-centric...and the pain that she was going through...today it was Kesar's pain brought to the fore after many days.

Life changed forever for him too since that confession on that rainy night...he's also gone through a lot of turmoil for being honest about his feelings...but then he knows no other way either...that is what makes him the man he is.

Like I said in my post - I was personally reminded of the Pareshani scene... because he told her back then, of how he wasn't the focus of her existence anymore and he wanted to know why... and then he wanted to know why, if he wasn't her focus anymore, she was still all over his mind anyway! Oh the guy's been so torn and all that! If you look at Kesar's life, he's always playing second fiddle for Gulaal - even though no one can replace his place! First to Vasant, then to the family, and now finally to Gulaal and her happiness. Whether its imposed by others or his own decision, he just cannot be the first thing on her list, in his head - and its like he's been living a lifetime to see that day - to be her number one! (When he'd just come back, he was her number !, but again, at that point he was too driven to believe otherwise and be skeptical of every attention...and also for the briefest time he became her priority in the little happy GK phase post the DV - but that was so brief, not to mention he was too much a child to realize, but innately, perhaps its that prime of time which had heightened his craving to be her focus, because even if only as a child, he has once known what it is like to be basked in the glory of being center of her attention!) He's just never found the peace of being at that place and comprehending it precisely, with her knowing and acknowledging as much! Yesterday just seemed like this hint of what it would be like - to be her number 1 now, when he's all grown up, and knows it isn't about being her responsibility, but about being her equal and partner.

It's such an irony that even when the two of them remain irreplaceable for the other - they have each craved to be the top priority for the other at different points, Kesar a lot more than Gulaal.

Btw does anyone else miss Kesar's tune?? The original one that used to play in all his scenes?? Haven't heard that in a long time now...I miss it...especially when I watch old scenes.

Dude you mean his tone of dilemma?! Didn't they very recently play it in the GK confrontation which was otherwise quite a fail?! I LOVE that tone - if we're talking about the same one - cause when it played up I was like OMG, it hasn't played in so so long!

*Edit: Does anyone else also wish that we'd ever get a "Aur tu?" moment again??😍...Pata nahin if we will *sigh*...This scene had all that...man, I loveddd that phase of the show...the angst was so brilliant!

Yayyy! I vote for Aur tu - I love love love those scenes, just did a drabble on the first one yesterday! The aur tu sequel of scenes is amazing for how many different facets of their bond it brings out each time! The same two words, matter differently depending on what context they are spoken in! And yet the implicit idea is always same - she's always putting herself last on all her lists, and he's always putting her first on his own! To hate, to love, to care for, to support, to chide... everything! She's the first one in the firing line of everyone of his emotions, good and bad! As is he - even though she doesn't always intend it like him...

P.S. I loveee Manasi's voice...her singing in the beginning is just so enchanting...can anyone really blame Kesar for being all mesmerized?? :P

I am very hopeful of Precap. Gulaal has finally let out her inner tormoil and offered share with Kesar. Interestingly she has offered to give him haq that was entitled to her late husband Vasant means that she is giving her husbands right to Kesar now. Despite precap looks promising, I am still scared that facts may bring rift between two instead of closing gap between them. Yet I have high hopes from Kesar that he will handle the facts more maturely as he has promised himself and her that they will overcome this rough time together.

Funnily she has not missed Vasant after moving out. After moving in to their house, Vasant ghost is not haunting her at all. Pacing around the porch for her husband to return suggest that her mind is fully dwelling on Kesar's thought. The fact that she did not jump to correct him of his understanding that she is treating him as her husband on dinning area, only suggests that she is too liking his idea.😉

Gina - yes the confessions should be very interesting to watch... Kesar is in for some huge rounds of revelation, even though he thinks he's known the darkest part of it - just maybe, he hasn't! And yes, the haq she wants to give him in giving him the truth is almost the greater step taken by her - although, like you, we're all anticipating if the talk will not disrupt this brief peace more than bridging gaps! But really, where the stand now is almost a stagnation... they sort of need to take a leap of faith from here - either snap out of it, or go for it! And since going for it is not an option Gulaal believes in - they will have to snap before it can occur to her, that she's didn't need him just for her own need of him, but for his need of her too, which is equal to her own!

I guess I didn't notice...that scene just turned out blahh...this tune needs like SOLO focus on it in a scene to really get the impact across...the way they used it in the first few months post-leap especially.

Cuz in a sense the confession took away all sense of ambiguity which was kind of the reason for his usage of this phrase...it was always used in this almost subconscious manner by him...just came out..."aur tu?"...I loved the layers of unsaid this added to their scenes in that phase...I miss that I guess...

Beautifully said VJ! Indeed, we may all be taken briefly by how strongly he has emerged with this resolve to resist his need, before hers - in giving rather than taking... but because there love never was, and never will be one sided - his vulnerability shall always surface - evoked as a response to her show. She doesn't mean to let on a love she isn't even cognizant about, and he doesn't mean to hope for a love he's been drilled about as not existing - but still she manages to let it on, and still he manages to see it and hope! And that's what yesterday was about. In the other side of this picture, when Kesar gives and Gulaal takes - nothing gets awkward, because they both know he loves her, and will do it, and she takes it in the name of the old bond they have had... but when the roles reverse, like yesterday - its a reminder of how much his need of her is too! In the recent picture of Gulaal's breakdown, world shattering vulnerability, it has been hard to remember that Kesar needs her equally - that he stands so strong in the face of this torrent, because he has her. Even in supporting her, he finds that endless strength! We almost get inclined to looking at the picture and believing that only she needs her for now, her need is greater than him - because he tends to believe it - but really, his need is so equal to her, her presence, this role he undertakes of being there for her, is as much his anchor and purpose to life, as it is to her! If he didn't have this to do - there would be nothing else! And hence, the relevance perhaps of the 15 days apart!

Here you go Nur - the very end of the first vid, and the very beginning of the 2nd -

That's the one you were talking of right?!

PS: the scene was playing in the BG as I post this - did I say enough of how much relief it was to not have PB and SF in the showdown yesterday?! Geez, thank heavens!

Thanks for the links, Jzee...but no, I wasn't talking about this tune...I was talking about Kesar's tune...they 'hey hey hey' waali...the one that played in the very first GK scene post leap when he turns and sees her, remember? That's my fav. tune.

I love the ending of this GK scene too...is there any chance we might get GK talking about the letters once again too? *sigh* I can only hope

I just love the way the entire bit plays out...Kesar making all attempts to brush aside the letter and change the topic but Gulaal hanging on...the bit when she chides him for not posting the letter and keeping it for so long and his utter SHOCK...fear that she just might know the whole truth of the letters...but she tells him she recognized his handwriting from his childhood...and then him making the excuses later on that there is nothing much in the letter other than b'day greetings...but Gulaal can see through him obviously and just asks him gently if he was so mad at her? And the way he turns to look at her and tell her that she kept him away for 10 years...what superb transitions in this scene...

Oooh that one - that's classic Kesuda the lover boy on a high 😆 I actually really like most BG tunes this show, they're so well matched to the character nuances and moments, but the one I linked continues to be my long time favorite... there's so much dilemma in its undertones, and so much angst to that! And the way they coupled this tone with his tujhe mujhpar bharosa haina Gulaal in this scene was awesome - except it was so short lived and cut through by Talli's completely redundant - baat bharose ki nahin hai! Dude!!! Gulaal ka jawaab to sunne deti bichaare ko!!!

I've really always hoped we will! Unlike many, I don't think the letters were unfairly underplayed in the part of the plot where they were - because at that point Gulaal being overcome by his letters or moved to anything other than the reaction she gave him - it's obsession not love - would have been unreal. But that said, the letters played such a critical role in their initial phase... they sort of deserve coming back to consequence! Them, like Gulaal's diary... the documenting of both these characters is a strong common point, which goes on to say so much about how they tend to attach themselves to matters so entirely! Besides, now that Gulaal knows that Kesar's love is not in fact an obsession, her viewing of his letters would be in such a different light! Exactly the way, after Kesar learns the truth on Monday, if he then chances upon her diary - it will be far the more impact! it's like they each open up this secret side to themselves to each other - and then each finding this documentation of testimony, not to stand proof, but in a way to further the impact many times over. Not to mention Gulaal's diary would help so much to knock sense into the haveli walas! (not walis, they're seriously beyond sense!)

One of my personal favorite scenes too - this one, and even the preceding bit where he's thinking of her and then she walks in and he tells her to fix his room... oh his innocent ways to get her focus on himself! You said it Nur - he's been starved of it so long, and really, he's been the longest deserving candidate of her exclusive affections! The heart warming part is how easily and simply he's satisfied... takes some very subtle and little gestures... lets not forget she only had to make his favorite food and he was all mellow even in his hurt stiff routine! 😆 He's the ultimate softie there is when it comes to Gulaal!
