The more I look at the caps from that scene, the more my heart goes out to Kesar...honestly it's almost like he's just a soul STARVED for that affection from her...the fact that just one soft, loving gesture from her meant SO much to him...the way it showed in his eyes...I think more than the proximity in that scene, it was what she did...the way she was rubbing his back itne pyar se that kinda made him pause at that moment.

I hope the precap scene brings them even closer. I don't see them falling apart on anything Gulaal tells Kesar.

The scene where they decide to break it off has to be very emotionally charged. Definitely have high expectations there...!

EDIT: Soul-starved is the word :( Every time he tries to cheer her up, make her smile you can feel his heart breaking. There is no selfish motive whatsoever but who doesn't yearn affection? It's all he wants from Gulaal so even that small gesture of her rubbing his back meant SO much to him. Sometimes I wish he was just allowed to cry in her arms...!

EXACTLY...that scene better be powerful...I'm expecting some amazing dialogues and ofcourse Neil-Manasi will be fab...that goes without saying.

Well technically the breaking off has anyways been decided...what will be interesting to see is how neither of them speak up that they don't want it to break...Kesar will not say anything cuz he'll think that she always wanted to break it and she'll be in a confused state as to why she now doesn't want this DV, this rishta to break so she won't know what to say either.

I know I'm repeating myself but whatever transition Neil brought to Kesar's expressions today was just amazing...today there was like just another dimension to Kesar's feelings for Gulaal...the poignancy was magnified many times more.

Yes there is a sadness that lurks under the surface even as he keeps trying to cheer her up...like you said, somewhere his heart keeps breaking but his love for her is such, he puts it all aside and just moves on for her sake each time...but today there were more moments of vulnerability from Kesar towards her than we've seen in a while...such beautiful subtlety in this show, seriously.

I think some miscommunication will happen between the two. Maybe Kesar will secretly hope she doesn't want to break the DV but Gulaal at that point completely crushes him or vice versa...Kesar could bring it up and Gulaal gives confusing signals. Whatever happens, I just want it to be amazing! :)

I agree about Neil. He especially brings that vulnerability out in Kesar SO intricately. Even when Kesar thought Gulaal was waiting for him to eat first like a wife would, he continued making a joke about it because he still cannot completely get himself to hope for something more from Gulaal's side. Urgh...there's just that pain in his heart which magnifies in moments like this.

... and burst his bubble - oh his fallen face, sigh! but hope thy name is Kesar ji... so he decides to use the chance and ask her to share thaali ...Chance Pe Dance ekdam! 😎 Has to be one of the sweetest demands he's made of her... the way he seeks her permission - his evident hope resting on her consent is just impossible to dismiss! Gullu HAS to say yes! Word...I really want her to say yes too...but the precap makes it seem like Kesar is a bit upset with her before she starts the discussion about wanting to tell him the truth so maybe she'll say no...but here's hoping despite that...it's such a sweet moment...come onnn, Gulaal...be a sport!😛😆

So I kinda doubt a crushed hope will cause Kesar to retreat. Because however much his dormant hope lurks underneath, he's not here because it will make her stay... I would say something more on the lines of his shock at something he learns... a fact he can't stand up immediately - he is after all human! Not to suggest he would blame Gulaal for anything - but the fact that any and every insinuation of Dushyant's lust being the cause of death of Vasant and Dushy's sin never coming to the fore when Kesar is around has a reason! When those 3 women of the house were giving her all the BS about reciprocating to Dushyant or being responsible, he only came in after ...I think the way he almost resists that she must tell him right now maybe this sort of hint for us, of a foreboding... Kesar - despite knowing the biggest secret - has never known why, and it was always going to matter when he finds out. His holding Dushyant singularly to blame will come crashing down - not to share the blame with Gulaal, but that easy evil image to hate Dushyant to kill his brother for money and position will be ripped... and I don't know how any man who loves a woman so dearly bears the idea of a third man's lust for her - at any point even in the past, in just the stride!

Again, how well said Nur! All these days - ever since the day he volunteered to break the DV, through the high and low, Kesar's onus to make the most of this grace time and make it up to Gulaal and be the giver has stood out so much and far for him that yesterday was just this out of the blue moment and he was easily overthrown... In striving to make her happy, support her, stand by her side, he has found it just a tad simpler to sideline his wishes and feelings and need of her - being there for her so selflessly somehow makes up just a bit for the reverse not seeming true - but yesterday when his first chance comes to be in the other spot... to be a receiver of her kindness, her attention, her focus... it reminds him of what he wants so dearly and direly and what he shall not have... the what if clashes with the what cannot be... her wifey signs may not mislead him, but they sure confuse him, and the hope in his heart is such a heartbreaking feature - because he's imposed it on himself to keep it out of the way lest he hurts her, but then which human can really stop hope from fluttering at the merest sign?! It's an implicit sign of being alive! It's like he's torn between making the most of every moment, not thinking of it as the last, but knowing it may very well be, and then getting this out of no where hint of what if it isn't, and then again getting his reality check - and the routine repeats!

So beautifully said, Jzee😍👏...Just LOVE how you worded this! *sigh* He breaks my heart really...The fact that her kindness undid him there...cuz he is so busy being the GIVER of care/concern/protection to her all the time, the fact that HE became the focus for a change was the surprise...

Btw does anyone else miss Kesar's tune?? The original one that used to play in all his scenes?? Haven't heard that in a long time now...I miss it...especially when I watch old scenes.

*Edit: Does anyone else also wish that we'd ever get a "Aur tu?" moment again??😍...Pata nahin if we will *sigh*...This scene had all that...man, I loveddd that phase of the show...the angst was so brilliant!

P.S. I loveee Manasi's voice...her singing in the beginning is just so enchanting...can anyone really blame Kesar for being all mesmerized?? :P

Thanks JZephyr for nice post and enjoyed it so much.

I am very hopeful of Precap. Gulaal has finally let out her inner tormoil and offered share with Kesar. Interestingly she has offered to give him haq that was entitled to her late husband Vasant means that she is giving her husbands right to Kesar now. Despite precap looks promising, I am still scared that facts may bring rift between two instead of closing gap between them. Yet I have high hopes from Kesar that he will handle the facts more maturely as he has promised himself and her that they will overcome this rough time together.

Funnily she has not missed Vasant after moving out. After moving in to their house, Vasant ghost is not haunting her at all. Pacing around the porch for her husband to return suggest that her mind is fully dwelling on Kesar's thought. The fact that she did not jump to correct him of his understanding that she is treating him as her husband on dinning area, only suggests that she is too liking his idea.😉

You have summed it up beautifully...there is so much in that one moment when he looks at her with so much pain - when she caresses him after coughing...Yes he was aware of her touch, it came through...but what came through even more touchingly was how he had longed for this for so long -for this love and care from Gulaal which had been his for so long earlier ...till "love" did them part ...so to say..

Today he is all busy taking care of her as she needs him ...but this moment has sprung to the surface how much he needs her tooo..how much he too has gone through for so long now..mainly at her hands...and especially ever since he confessed his love for her that rainy night...

and today when life has given him a small breather with the urgencies of existence having been taken care of in the form of a house and a job...his own pain resurfaces again and again... as he looks at Gulaal as she caresses him with so much concern and care ... as she sits and waits for him to eat...all I was aware of was how much pain this boy has buried in himself in the process of becoming a man... my heart goes out to him...
