I can't believe that
when you said that
you needed me to stay with you

I can't believe that
it was just what
I needed you to say me too!

I am in love with you...
I think you should love me too,
out of the blue!

(Serena Ryder)

----
After a week of half hearted episode appraisals - today is finally different. From the entire Raman showdown to Giga's brilliance, to JK getting what has long been coming - the action was full on, not one second dragged, and well scripted. The presence of good actors only served the cause well. I really hope to see some sequence where MB (if no one else) will acknowledge that whatever else Gulaal and Dushyant maybe blamed for - however serious, or however easily dismissed - the one way they have commonly served the interest of the house is by singularly bearing burdens of secrets that are not their own, only for the sake of the family, because the coming out of these secrets may bring justice, but will always break the house further. MB can always grudge them to keep him out of their magnanimous schemes, but he needs to know, understand and empathize with why Gulaal and Dushyant each in their own place has lived with secret fires.

GK

But that put aside - the GK scenes for the day were as good as they get! While the 'cute' streak was retained, there were additional underlying strains to their dynamics. Gulaal may not be doing things with the conscious understanding of being a wife - but she sure comes across as one! Not to mention, she is far less spooked and overthrown by Kesar's wild googlies (as Nur likes to call them 😆 verbal, or otherwise). Starting from the way she's pacing slightly, her eyes refusing to leave the main entry of the house awaiting Kesar - her wifey traits are evident. Of course the way he cruises right in, ringing bells and all cheery and gushy - LOL! He's more hubby, than a real assumed husband ever could be 😆 FIrst things first - gives his wife updates about the day, hands in groceries and proudly accepts her compliments on his first day grand success! 😆 Kesar shall never really cease to exist as the child he once was - no matter what - and even when Gulaal eventually gives him that elevated spot of being a husband (she's already making rapid progress) she shall never cease to exercise the upper hand every now and again, not in the dominating wife mode, but the way she can in being Gulaal, with him being Kesar! Yeh, that opening bit sweet and all that. But its evident her smile isn't touching her eyes; and when Kesar mentions no one wanting to go against MB - the statement is such an obvious point out of them doing exactly that - going against MB. Something, that she can never be happy about, even if she is resigned to accept. When he further mentions Kunal's role, the slightest hint of a content smile touches her expression (oh the wonderful subtlety of Mansi's expressions!) because she's happy for Talli. That bond too, shall never be severed!

Anyway - when the kitchen scene opened, to Gulaal choking - for a moment I was almost skeptical, wondering if the CVs were going to continue to portray the very beat down side of Gulaal we've gotten recently. It was a relief when her choking - something very trivial in the big picture - did not get projected as a sign of continuing weakness. I would have disliked immensely getting a tired Gulaal scene here, unable to do stuff in the kitchen that she is so proficient with in general, only to have Kesar come do that for her too! In a strange way inside my head it would make them look very lopsided as a couple - so although Kesar is a sweetheart as ever in saying he can't see tears in her eyes (oh his candor, is almost amusing sometimes 😆 ) I was happy to have Gulaal spring back and tell him she wasn't crying and it was only the smoke from wet logs! Of course, their little banter that follows - Gulaal telling him again to let her do what is her work, and adding that little tease (oh I'm sure she lets it slip in with an intention to tease) ye tere bas ka nahin hai - hahaha! trust Kesar to rise to that bait - reminds her of his efficiency in cleaning, which she was duly impressed by, and tells her there is nothing he can't do. Again, a wonderful subtle touch to the scene in Kesar failing at that! I always like any and every sequence that depicts their equal status. And this is trivial, but another.

Of course - what follows is probably one of the most important symbolism for today. The way GK have grown over their 'intimacy' hitch in recent times, has always involved Gulaal seeking refuge and Kesar offering it. It has come most naturally, but it has been about Gulaal the seeker and Kesar the giver. Today - even for the triviality of the incident as such, when one compares it with the kind of support Kesar has offered and those circumstances vs simple choking on smoke - shows the role reversal again. Kesar becomes conscious of their proximity - which is far less than it has been in recent times without making them awkward for a second - but the difference is obvious. All the other times he has not been conscious, because in a way, its always about him extending the physical comfort. Only when she's seeking it, or in his subconscious opinion in need of it - but its always him. Today, when she comes closer - to help/comfort him he gets conscious. He's undergone that phase of Gulaal putting up walls, and then withdrawing them only to be friends in the earnest; he's faced being misunderstood for his good intentions, and although of late she has stopped reacting/resisting his proximity and pati claims, he has passed it off as purely circumstantially driven - somewhere inside his head. Today is just different. She is suddenly being all there for him.

It reminds me of the time he barged into her room drunk and told her how before he had gone to the hostel her world had revolved around him, and how it was no longer the same - today, its like being back to that. While until yesterday he was the only one for her, because she needed him, this simple situation today stands out for him like her being the old Gulaal - where he is her focus and gets all her attention - and this is no longer as being a ward assigned to her, but as her husband - at least officially.

I think he's thrown off guard at suddenly finding the return of that exclusive attention, when he's least expecting it - because at this point he takes it for an assumption that he needs to look out for her, not the other way round, even for simple things. The look they share - which maybe just a cliche eye lock to the uninitiated - is actually meaningful like that, and surprise! Gulaal doesn't just look away like this is wrong, thank God! I have always maintained Gulaal will have less trouble over the physical barrier, once she can cross the mental one, and it shows today, as a hint of a start! the moment is lightened again, when she tells him to sit away quietly haath batane ke bahaane mera kaam bada mat! 😆 Kesar's expressions are cute as ever! Dude comes all hunky dory to help his fragile wife with rough things and not only fails at it, but gets tended to by her, and further told off for delaying her 😆 ab muje tere hukum par hi chalna padega na! is classic Kesar! If he was expecting Gulaal to soften, well, he's forgetting she's always competition to him 😆 Even if she doesn't go around bragging and telling him all day that he can't beat her at arguing ... she really can 😆 wo bhi to Galool hai! The final bit of this scene, with Kesar giving her that unblinking look - yes, he's totally over thrown, not to mention his love can't stay buried forever no matter how he tries, much less when he's confused by 'wifey' signs from her ☺️ Gulaal's jal gaya is so well placed. Its like two words to sum up their current UST! Interestingly, she cannot meet his eye. She doesn't look awkward, but hell if she doesn't know she's been stared down!

And the last bit of GK - the meal scene. Gulaal serves him food, and Kesar serves her the googly - it's bothered him from the kitchen moment, and Kesar being Kesar can't really mince words or keep secrets (oh we should know that!) so out comes the question... tu to sach mein muje pati jese... and he stops there - but doesn't take the words back. No, he furthers the claim by telling her he's modern and she doesn't need to - awww Kesu! your heart can;t but go out to him at his pure belief that the only reason Gulaal serves him first must be this! That she's treating him like hubby, and is he sold to the idea! He's killed wishes so long, the ray of hope is impossible to not grab (even if a little more logic would make him question the change!) Anyway - trust Galool to burst his happy bubble! I'm going to secretly assume a little part of her is doing the wifey things out of more than plain decorum ☺️ but for now, Kesar does get shown back to Earth. There is only one plate and one bowl - LOL! I bet his new day;s grocery shopping will not involve buying dishes, even though she has made the dire situation clear. Especially not if she says yes to sharing the plate - will she?! I think she will! 😍

To the precap - Promising, if ever there was one! I don't just like the sound of Kesar learning the truth, but even more the sound of Gulaal giving him that haq. Thank you lady, about time. Can't wait to watch how Monday happens - and I sure hope we get liberal dose of GK, since it seems imperative they will be parting ways again, briefly, and soon!

Sorry for the delay with post - I didn't want to leave pending work for the weekend, and was wrapping up - but do chip in, like always! And yes, today's post is long again - don't whine! Happy days = long posts. 😆
n that he needs to look out for her, not the other way round, even for simple things. The look they share - which maybe just a cliche eye lock to the uninitiated - is actually meaningful like that, and surprise!
Dude they don't even have eye locks to be honest. It's pieces of conversation, however short or long. In fact I'm more than happy that they've never had that non-stop glaring session. It's a moment of awkwardness which they share and then move past swiftly. Like you said, till now it was Kesar crossing the physical boundary to make her feel comfortable but now Gulaal is doing the same thing! Something which she hasn't done in a long time. It overwhelms him, gives him a spark of hope too that this is how they can be. He looks at her with so much love 😍 Gulaal senses this which is why she looks up, feels the lowe and has to look away. Then they carry on joking and being mean to each other!

Last scene: Your heart goes out to Kesar doesn't it? That excitement thinking she did this out of wifely duties made me go awww!! Gulaal did burst his bubble but that doesn't mean she isn't doing all this as a wife because she really is! Dono ko pata nahin hai lekin aisa hi hai!

Precap looks very promising!! <3

Lovely post as always, Jzee...

There are sooo many subtleties in the GK scenes today that frankly half of them I only realized as I was taking caps...

In the chulha scene, there are many interesting transitions...first Kesar's bravado with his, "I can't see tears in your eyes" and Gulaal's like rolling her eyes and telling him it's the smoke making her eyes tear up...uske baad Kesar's all incredulous that she DARE say that he can't do this chulha stuff and he's like AB dekh😆

Ok here's that bit in caps:

Aisa kaunsa kaam hai jo MAIN nahin kar sakta??🤣

Gulaal's skeptical look:

Kesar's all like "ho jaayega ho jaayega"...notice Gulaal's expression at the edge of the frame too...the way she is rolling her tongue inside her mouth skeptically😆

And lo and behold Kesar dissolves into a coughing fit...Gulaal's 'I told you so' expression

Ok will post the rest of the caps in a bit too...

Reemz - I luvreee your new siggie! Did cha make it?!

And of course, Galool is being wife - she can deny it all she wants, as long as she wants too - we know she can't over run 2 weeks, so anyway 😆

Nur - yayyy the caps are here! I'm going to do my vishesh tipaani when you post them all - today just calls for it! And lol, that sarcastic look was awesome! The way he went hora hai abhi ... and she was like haan haan 🤣 And the way she tells him that his confidence had made hims sound so credible... jaise kal safai ki, jese hostel mein karta tha! Gulaal - even thorugh her daze and sorrow and overtly pulled off blank has taken in every silly word of his banter. Registered and stored for future reference... isn't that so endearing in a way?! ☺️

JZee, So well written. Great post. I check multiple time a day awaiting your's and Reemz's posts, you both seem to be right there with how I too feel when I watch these two, and are prolific writers - icing on the cake! Then I go home and watch the episode (much later here in US). It is a much richer experience 😊

wow so nice caps.thanks Nur .I am looking their dinner and precap Caps too.
Kesar -gulaal's scene was awasome.Hmm precap hints something.May be some romance will happen inbetween them without their any sence.May be they will realize this after their romance .
In precap both r surprise and cry then gulaal said something .May be my analysis is wrong lol.
