In the evening gulaal was in her room with poonam and kesar was attending revji...gulaal was getting ready for the party and she was talking to her mother about various issues...gulaal was very mich lively and cheerful to talk to her mother after such a long time...in between the discussion poonam asked about kesar and gulaal's eyes sparkled...she talked about kesar as a new bride proudly talks about her husband

She said pata "hai maa kesar ekdum pagal hai hamesha mujhe challenges deta hai aur phir khud hi haar jaata hai aur yeh saare dresses aur jewellary dekh rahi ho sab kesar lekar aaya hai?.itni saari hai k lagta hai 2-3 almirah banwaani padegi" she said proudly

"Aur maa mujhe har roz white lilies bhejta hai...koi aaye naa aaye par yeh white lilies roz meri desk par milte hain..aur yeh billi ka sketch dekh rahi ho maa...yeh bhi kesar.."

And then she looked at poonam who was looking affectionately at her

Gulaal asked hesitatedly "aise kya dekh rahi ho maa"

Poonam had tears in her eyes replied in the choke voice "gulaal tujhe jab akhiri baar dekha to yeh chehra ktina berang tha socha bhi naa tha ki kabhi tujhe haste hue dekh paaungi aur ab dekho kesar ne apni preet se kitne rang bhar diye hai?mein bahoot khush hun gulaal k tujhe kesar jaisa jeevansathi mila"

Gulaal said "maa aapko to yeh rishta manjoor nahi tha"

Poonam replied "tabki baat aur thi gulaal us samay kesar kuch aur tha us samay kesar kisi bhi tarah tere layak nahi tha..par usne apne aapko tere layak banaya hai gulaal humne uski success story naa jaane kitne logo se suni hai...uski ankhon mein tere liye kitna maan hai?sach pucho to tere liye kesar se jyada acha koi ho hi nahi sakta"

Gulaal listened mother's conversation silently with her head down

Afterwards kesar and gulaal celebrated gulaal birthday party..kesar celebrated it in high spirit...after the party was over...revji and poonam gave her daughter blessing and left

all the guest left simultaneously...and gulaal engaged herself to clean the room...kesar saw her and said "yeh kya kar rahi ho gulaal...tumhara bday aur tum yeh room saaf kar rahi ho"

Gulaal said "haan party khatam ho gayi hai to socha karma saaf kar lu"

Kesr said "koi jarurat nahi hai tum jaakar apne kamre mein aaram karo...mein sab saaf kar lunga"

Gulaal said "nahi tum nahi"

Kesar replied "nahi...mein kar lunga"

Talli came and said "haan gulaal tum jao mein bhi kesar k saath mil kar saaf kar lenge"

Gulaal smiled and went inside her room

Talli and kesar were cleaning the living area

Talli looked at kesar and said "aaj ko gulaal ko bahoot khush thi..tumne acha kiya kesar"

Kesar looked at her and smiled

Talli said "humari shaadi ho jayegi uske baad bhi hum gulaal ka is tarah bday manayenge"

Kesar was shocked he said "what?.kya kaha tumne?humari?shaadi????"

Kesar was puzzled

Talli said "haan mein humari shaadi k baat kar rahi hun"

Kesar couldn't believe himself he was numbed he said "yeh kya bakwaas laga rakhi hai"

Then he said angrily "talli mujhe aisa mazak bilkul pasand nahi hai"

Talli looked at him and said "par kesar tumne to haan kari thi"

Kesar said "meine?kya bakwaas kar rahi ho?"

Talli hold his hand and said "kesar mein tumse bahoot pyaar karti hun?aur tumse shaadi karna chahiti hun"

Kesar pushed her away and yelled "shut up ok.".

He continued "tum paagal ho gayi..tumahari himmat kaise hui mujhse aisi baat karne k"

Talli was frightened she said "par kesar"

Kesar shouted back "talli.mein tumhe apna friend manta hun aur tum mujhse itni ghatia baat kar rahi ho."

Talli said "nahi kesar galat mat samjho mein sach mein"

Kesar said "bas talli.mein shaadishuda hum kam se kam is baat ka to lihaaz karma tha.mujhe to soch kar bhi sharam aa rahi hai..gulaal sudhabhabhi aur panba ko pata chalega to kya sochengi "kesar was furious

Talli said "kisi ko koi problem nahi hai kesar...sabko pata hai aur gulaal ne khud kaha hai mujhse uuse koi problem nahi hai"

Kesar was shocked for a moment..everyone knew about it...gulaal knew about it...everyone has conspired against him...his gulaal has conspired against him how could she...he couldn't belief himself and now he was furios and adamant..his eyes were red and fierce

He asked her "gulaal ne kaha aisa tumse"

And he left her in anger...talli was in tears she sat on the floor of living room and weeped

kesar walked with the quick step towards gulaal room..gulaal was sleeping and kesar thumped the door very hard...gulaal woke all of sudden she opened the door and saw kesar was standing he was furious adamant and restless...he stared wildly at her and in the darkness gulaal read his face something was serious.

She asked in frightened voice "kesar yanha kaise"

Kesar looked at her and asked restlessly "kya kaha tume talli se?"

Gulaal was confused she asked "talli se?"

Kesar was annoyed he asked again "tumne talli se mere bare mein kya kaha"

Gulaal looked at him and understood she paused and smiled coldy"oh to tumhe talli ne sab bata diya hai..kesar talli bahoot achi ladki hai aur tumse bahoot pyaar karti hai"

Kesar said in disbelief "yeh tum kya kah rahe ho?tum aisa kaise kah sakti ho?"he cant belief his gulaal talked him in this way

Gulaal replied "haan kesar talli har tarah se tumahare layak hai...bachpan se chahiti hai tumhe"

and then she avoided his eyes and said "mujhe talli aur tumhare rishte se k...koi problem nahi hai"

Kesar's anger reached his boiling point he said in raised voice he grab her hand tightly and said "dimaag kharab ho gaya hai tumhara?hosh mein to ho kya kah rahi ho"

Gulaal looked at him with her widened eyes "par kesar isme tumhari bhalai hai"

Kesar shouted "bas karo gulaal tumhe itna bhi hosh nahi hai k tum kya bol rahi hai?..tum meri patni ho...hum husband wife hai for godsake..aur tum mujhse kah rahi ho k mein kisi aur se shaadi karlu??tumhare hote hue koi aur meri patni ban kar aa jaye...kaise soch sakti ho gulaal?humara ek rishta hai us rishte k kaise bhul gayi tum"

Gulaal replied back "kesar tum azad ho...mein tumhe is rishte mein bhadna nahi chahiti...tumhe koi jarurat nahi hai aise samjhote aur ghutan bhare rishte ko nibhaane k"

Kesar was shocked "kya kaha?".

Kesar grabbed her with her arms and pull her close to him and looking into her eyes he said "ghutan (suffocated)..tumhe sach mein lagta hai humara rishta ghutan bhara hai" And a tears rolled down from his eyes

He said with tears in his eyes "aaj tumne mujhe bahoot hurt kiya hai gulaal...bahoot"

And he removed his hand she shrank away from him kesar turned his back he wiped his tears and left..

Kesar was in deep pain he couldn't take it anymore so he was decided to leave he was walking towards the door in the living area he saw talli...talli was crying...kesar saw her but ignored her he was walking...talli came running towards him

She hold his hand and said "kesar mein tumse bahoot pyaar karti hun..plz mujhe chod kar mat jao..kesar mujhe koi farq naho padta tumhare aur gulaal k rishte se...plz mat karo mere saath aisa"

Kesar looked at her and said "acha koi farq nahi padta?chalo thek hai tum kehti hun to maan leta hun...par kya tumhe zindagi bhar dusari aurat k tag manjoor hoga"

Talli stood silent

Kesar continued "kya tumhe manjoor hoga k mein tumse pehle kis aur ko importance du kya zindagi bhar tum is baat se khush reh sakti ho k kesar k har baat par pehla haq gulaal ka hoga kyuki gulaal meri patni hai meri har cheez par mujh par haq sirf gulaal ka hai...aur agar tumhe yeh manjoor bhi hai to munjhe nahi...mein tumhari dosti k liye itna neeche nahi gir sakta"

"Sorry talli par mein tumse shaadi nahi kar sakta" kesar said most sternly

sudha who passing by listened the whole conversation she came in the living area and said "kyu, kyu nahi shaadi kar sakte kya problem hai talli mein"

kesar said "koi kami nahi hai talli mein sudhabhabhi par aap uski liye koi kuwaara ladka dhundhiye...meri shaadi gulaal se ho chuki hai"

sudha said "kaun si shaadi yeh shaadi bematlab hai...koi mayane nahi rakhti

kesar said firmly"yeh aap kaise kah sakti hai...shaadi bematlab tab hoti hai jab ek pati aur patni ise nahi sweekar kare par meine apne poore hosh mein is shaadi ko sweekar kiya hai aap hoti kaun hain is shaadi ko bematlab kehne waali"

all family members woke up with the heated arguement and assembled in the living area they were surprised and shocked

kesar continued "aur agar bematlab thi tab kyu is shaadi ko hone diya aapne...us samay to aap sab mere aur gulaal k rishte k sachai ko tolne mein lage hue the..kitne haath jode the humne par aap sabko to apni izzat pyaari thi "

he said "aur itni mahine se jab mein aur gulaal pati patni ban kar rah rahe hai tab kyu kisne kuch nahi kiya aur aaj jab talli ko mujhse pyaar ho gaya to yeh shaadi bematlab ho gaayi?nahi mera rishta bematlab nahi hai sudhabhabhi aapki yeh soch bematlab hai"

panba interrupted in between "par kya us samara tu is rishte ko samajhta tha...kyu tujhe itne samaj thi k samajhe pati aur patni ka kya rishta hota hai"

kesar said "nahi thi maan liya...par aaj hai...agar aapko aisa lagta hai panba to theek hai mein aaj gulaal se waapas deeyavatto karne ko tayyar hun..balki jab bhi apko lage k mein rishte ko samajhne laga hun...mein waapas gulaal ka haath tham lunga par kisi aur k saath mein shaadi nahi karunga"

panba said "hargiz nahi kesar gulaal aur tumhara deeyarvatto tut kar rahega yeh rishta sirf majbori mein kiya gaya tha..is majboori bahre rishte se tum dono apni zindagi nahi guzar sakte

kesar replied "mein guzar sakta hun...aur mein kisi bhi kimmat par gulaal ka saath nahi chodunga...aap sab sun lijeye..meine vasantbha aur diaba ko vaada kiya tha gulaal k saath nibhane ka aur yeh vada meri liye har rishte se badkar hai...aap logo k baat mein kabhi nahi manuga"

gulaal came out of her room she heard it and interrupted "kesar tumhe panba se aise baat nahi karni chahiye:

kesar looked at her and left the place in anger

after he left there was muffled silence...panba took a few step and sank upon her chair...her strength departed she was miserable

gulaal looked at her and quickly came to support her

panaba looked at her in fear and said to gulaal "kesar"

gulaal looked at panba and said "aap chinta mat kijeye panba kesar ko achanak se sab pata chala to shayaad wo samajh nahi paa raha?meine usese baat karungi panba"

panba looked at her and hold her hand and said "ab sab teri upar hain gulaal tujhe kesar ko samajhana hoga k woo apna paagalpan band kare...aage chal kart um logo k is rishte se problem hogi"

gulaal looked at her and remained silent

next morning talli decided to leave...she packed her bags sudha tried to stop her but she didn't listened

she went in kesar room and said kesar mein jaa rahi hun..ho sake to mujhe maaf kar dena

kesar was silent for a moment and then he said "talli ek dost k tarah mein hamesha tumhara saath doonga...par isese jyada mujhse kabhi kuch expect mat karna"

talli bid adieu and was leaving the house gulaal called her talli

talli looked back

gulaal said "I m sorry talli...mein kesar ko samjhane k koshish karungi"

talli said "nahi gulaal...koi fayada nahi hai jabardasti koi kissi se pyaar nahi kar sakta...aur jabardasti koi kissi k jagah bhi nahi le sakta"

gulaal looked at her and she left for airport

aftersometime kesar came out of his room he was leaving for work

gulaal saw him and said kesar

kesar stopped and looked at her

gulaal came near and said "kesar tumne acha nahi kiya"

kesar stood silent

gulaal continued kesar tum bevajah zid kar rahe ho...tumne talli ka kitna dil dukhaya hai...mein tumhe hargiz aisa nahi karne dungi?.mein tumhari zindagi barbaad nahi hone doongi kesar

kesar looked back in anger he said "gulaal tum"

and then he saw panba and he stared back at gulaal and left
