Jzee those are indeed wonderful lines..though have not heard the song...

I know everyone loved loved loved the opening scene as did I, because that explanation from Gulaal was so long awaited, and the turmoil of Kesar in all those years awaiting this one answer - and interestingly, now when it comes to him, he's overwhelmed with his own inability of have figured this elemental Gulaal line of thought all those years while he spent so much time brooding over what could have compelled her to never let justice come! Additionally, the answer comes at a time when he's not only past the angst of seeking it out, but quite in contrast would almost wish it didn't have to come to him, if the cost was her broken soul!

Well for him it had never been Gulaal keeping the secret...I t had been keeping the secret from him...as I love to quote that dialogue of his 'Apne Kesar se kaise chhupaya' and in reality that whole confrontation by the river side had been to shake her ...but as usual Kesuda's anger and Gulaal's tortoise shell had worsened the situation and both went to extremes...Gulaal left him crying all with a stone hearted stance and he took the decision of marrying Talli. But today when Gulaal pointed out that he also had questions and she was wrong in not considering that people had legitimate right to know the truth including him, that I think jolted him...of how could he have told these words to her ever.
Ironically as I said...both of them were saying in total contrast to what they had been doing or rather what their biggest flaws till date had been...
Gulaal conceding that it was wrong of her to assume that she had the bestest of interest of the house in her heart and being a judge on her own decision and Kesar actually trying to tell her that the whole house is just in anger and they dont know what they are saying...
Irony indeed..they have come a full circle...

But back to your topic, like I said, everyone loved that scene - Kesar's long needed answer, and Gulaal's long pent up secret - but the final scene, especially the bit about Kesar wiping away the tears he's given her, directly or not - by not paying heed to the precise warning she had given him way in advance ... If there was not the hug to compete, I would have voted this bit as my favorite - but its so hard to make choices among GK pool of scenes! As I said on my own thread - I especially liked the carefully picked out FB dialogs of Kesar, when he was revealing Dushant's dank dark secret at this moment - because all those words of accusing Dushyant of being the one to rob the family of its happiness, and being the cause of all their misery - somehow comes back to apply to him, with regard to Gulaal's current condition... its like he's thinking of those words he's hurled at Dushyant in his unchecked fury, and how they come back to haunt him as equally applicable for Gulaal becoming the outcast in her own kingdom!
Well in a way he is a part of those tears...he is an inseparable part of her..pain or happiness...he is with her...Like I said in a thread in seeing that bike scene where in he said that they will share everything for the two months they are together...but did not put any dead limit for that promise he had given himself on sharing her pains...and today again ...I just loved these small nuances the CVs take up and put up for us to just discuss it to death...It was such a small gesture but yet so beautiful..his tear falling on her and he wiping it...the irony was that he didnot wipe his own eyes which were overflowing with tears but he wiped that small drop from her face...It was sooo unique..and Mansi..she so looked like she was dead to the world...she actually looked asleep... am saying Mansi because I wondered how the actress was able to maintain such solid expression of deep sleep when so much expression from Kesar flowed around her...it is difficult not to react...
the second thing about eksar kesar and his anger as you said...very beautifully put Jzee...and he remembers her saying that his anger so gives pain to himself and others...but Kesar's anger is also centered across her...We so know that...she is the sanity and the core centre of his being so even the erruptions he has is because of her and only her...
but coming to the topic on his anger and the last scene...Well I do believe that yesterdays and the day before Kesar cried for his brother and to certain extent his family but today his tears were only for her...Vasant is at peace in his heart now...but that peace was so short lived as now he faces the guilt of having subjected her to this plight...her whole of 10 years of sacrifice lost...and hence the vow...and me now going to stop...I can just go on and on and on😆
