nice post and analysis too.I loved today's episode and brought me smile too.
Song suits for G-K.but precap made me 😕.I wish gulaal's friend will not know anything regarding their real relation.I am waiting for that day when gulaal will know that all kesar planned to make her happy.
Thanks 😊Originally posted by: sukriti19a
Really luv to read ur post and best part is ur post comes up pretty soon.. thanks dear...
Btw - I thought there was symbolism in the hopscotch game too. The way Kesar is cheering her, anxious and excited and proud and anticipatory all at once, in her final round is reflective of his attitude towards Gulaal, of course. What's interesting (and fresh to me) in this scene is the fact that Gulaal doesn't at any point (despite looking dicey here and there) stumble enough to need his physical help. In simple words - she doesn't have a cliche fall, where her knight comes to save her. In this respect, I think the CVs pull off an ace by showing their always prevalent equality of status - no matter the bond they share, much less what it's called. Of course, one obvious reason to not make her fall is that the stakes involved are proof of his love. But it's still wonderful to me - what I once said about Kesar not needing Gulaal to solve his problems, but just being there as his hausla looks like a mirror reflection today with roles reversed. Kesar is only there for her, to cheer her on - she doesn't need him to help her in real terms of the game, to win it - she only needs his presence. And so I deem them easily equal.
Thanks for a post Len - and the caps look 😍! I was wondering where everyone was after such a beautiful episode - my school work is eating away into all my leisurely Galool-ing 😡 so imma just steal space on your thread for now.
If yesterday was a happy fest - today was plain touching. There were mesmerizing bits, high strung bits, unresolved eye locks, team secrets, role reversals, and finally, a precap that leaves you at the very edge...In particular I like the variation of Kesar from yesterday to today. Yesterday, he was so overwhelmed by being treated to this other side of Gulaal - that no other reaction could outdo his plain, unadulterated absolute euphoria. Today witnessed growth. Having taken his time to be acquainted with this new found old Gulaal - today was spent in high quotient of admiring, being mesmerized, and simple oozing fondness and pride. He was a lover and a mate - and he was that responsible guy looking out for his girl. Yet, he wasn't coming in her way, or that of her friends, and it was a marvel the way he could be omnipresent, but not interfering. Doing so much to make Gulaal happy has not just paid off in the obvious way - in her evident happiness so to say - but also presented him with all those instances where he could just bring time to a stand still, reveling in abandon of his lady love. Reminders of their hard facts came along to distract the realism of their ethereal day, but Kesar was also omniscient today - an answer to all of Gulaal's doubts and complains - and Gulaal herself was too high on rediscovering herself after a decade - too high to question it, and too high to let anything spoil it for her too far. Kesar obviously used laudable tact in making his arguments, but the Gulaal we saw today was not half the hard nut she usually is to crack. She was yielding, because at least a part of her wanted to, each time, while Kesar gave her the vital leverage at all occasions. The scene between Sudha and Kesar was touching - to say the least - and a kind of continuation from the other day when he had walked in to Raman and Sudha's room to beckon them for the samaroh in their house. It had been a part of his agenda, to sort his tussle with Sudha - and of course, spending a beautiful day like he had was every bit the making of a peaceful mind which can accomplish resolutions. When he walks into Sudha's room today - it's a spontaneous decision, and he has obviously not prepared a speech - so what comes out in narrative is straight from the heart. Naturally, it hits the target. I thought Sudha (the actress portraying her) did a commendable job with her expressions. For the first time since I begun to see this show, I actually witnessed a glimpse of their Bhabhi Devar bonding. [I'm not sure where the precap is going to put those two with respect to each other again, but I hope Kesar's point has been made for once and all, and that Sudha can understand there's really no resolution to anythng in just holding his big blunder against him now.] I did like the closure of this scene today though - Kesar's continued marathon of winning hearts (lol) and relief at it, as well as Sudha's own partially reclaimed peace in making peace with him. Which sort of goes on to prove how dear he must be to her - but then, Kesar has always been the dearest and most spoiled member of that house. Even the evil Dushyant could never not spoil Kesar (:Finally - Kesar walking in on a dream like Gulaal. They showed several instances of Kesar being captivated by Gulaal today - but this one took the cake. It was just a tad cliche, yet phenomenal - his reaction on seeing this Gulaal - suspended in reminiscing about her unbelievably fun day - is one of heartfelt joy in succeeding what he had set out for, while being rendered rather at a loss of reaction at the same time, in how she casts an unassuming spell. The friends walking in and playing tease - so been there done that, totally credible - and Gulaal's snap/defense/wall modes at every tease - expected. I personally think Kesar's own unease today in this latter most of scenes is not on account of being conscious, much less guilty - but simply on account of his apprehension that pressingthis wrong button with Gulaal too far with render all his efforts to cheer her up futile. For the first time in over a week, we see a nervous version of Kesar - like a ghost from his pre-revelation night with Talli - because he genuinely fears loss of this tediously dug out Gulaal version - which is being held on to the surface by a delicate string, rather precariously. He is aware that while he has succeeded in bringing about this change - there is no permanency about it, and it can take but a moment for her to snap and revert back to the shell - irrespective of the presence of her friends, or anyone else. It makes him lower his eyes, even though he's not wrong, it makes him keep his hand in planning the entire day a secret because he has no idea how Gulaal can or will react to that... and it makes him fumble with words, hesitate and falter before he finally exits the room. The last look between Gulaal and Kesar is yet another speaks volumes kind. Gulaal is not miffed with him, not yet anyway - she just can't pull off a thankful smile for him at this point given her agitation and strain over the day long teasers. Kesar on the other hand, dares, even partially knowing its in vain, to hope that he will get a glimpse of the smile he's doted on all day long - and fairly enough, well earned. He doesn't want a thankful smile, he only wants a smile that tells the tale of her day well spent. Too bad it doesn't come.Btw - I thought there was symbolism in the hopscotch game too. Kesar is only there for her, to cheer her on - she doesn't need him to help her in real terms of the game, to win it - she only needs his presence. And so I deem them easily equal.Another scene of relevance has to be the one where Gulaal is on the verge of telling her friends the real truth about Kesar and her relation - but is fatefully stopped - even if fate appears as Kesar. Later, when he tells her they are her true friends and there is no point upsetting them by telling them dark facts - she relents. It's at least partially willing. I can't imagine her dying to tell them the truth and get it over with - but not finding one more chance after the first failed attempt to do so - before this advice from Kesar. It's obvious she's holding back again - and further, when Kesar tells it's immaterial given their 3 month grace period only - Gulaal gives him a look which is a mix of complex reactions. At least one part of which is truly not happy in being reminded. I'm not trying to over play that reaction and say it shocks and saddens her - but it definitely disturbs her, especially so perhaps, because Kesar says it with such seemingly easy conviction. She is surprised perhaps, by his ease, but she is most certainly disturbed by the same too.I don't know where tomorrow's episode will begin. But I hope we're going to get our last doze of these girlfriends in the form of some candid night talks. Someone as uninvolved and objective like them can play vital role in showing her sense.Anyway - that's for today ...I've done it with half of my usual mind, because there's tons of school work I need to finish too - but today was yet another unexceptional day which could not be passed without a critique ☺️
I look back to it now, and it is so symbolic - the fall i just didnt see it happening coz we all know what that would of meant in terms of what was said before in the bet, and the thing is Gulaal even forgot what she was playing for, but we all knew so it was just there and it came out so well.. and seeing Kesar with so many expressions, what i loved as i said was he was there guiding her and supporting her - very true to what he said 'main tere saath hoon'Originally posted by: nureat01
Very well said, Jzee! There was MAJOR symbolism in the hopscotch game without a doubt...that entire bit with Kesar encouraging her, rooting for her, happy, proud, excited, anticipatory, sharing her moments of anxiousness...I was wondering for a second if they will show her falling and him catching her but nothing trite of that sort...he just encouraged her along simply...and to me the most beautiful was the culmination of that scene with the way Gulaal holds his hands in excited happiness for a moment...all awkwardness gone for those brief moments when she lets go in her joy...and the expression Kesar has on his face to see HER so happy...to SHARE her joy there...beautiful...absolutely beautiful.
@Lennie: Awesome post as always...and thanks for the caps!
