Added punch is Gulaal requesting Panba to stop wedding. Panba was mad at her because she learnt through Sudha that Gulaal made the marriage ddecision years ago. So Panba aske dher if she did not find it important to tell her, she being Kesar's mother about her final decision for him regarding his marriage and also gave back to her saying she has snatched even that right from her over son. And to stop deciding for Kesar

Since Gulaal is his wife, he cannot promise that he will remain loyal to Talli. Basically he meant Gulaal is his responsibility, she being his wife so because of that he cannot take the phere in which he has to promise loyalty to Talli alone. So he is refusing to take the pheras
