Judging by what we had yesterday, the high emotions everywhere with Gulaal and Kesar individually, i am expecting the same today and we might get it with the precap we saw
All i want to say about the slap is, i am only be going to look at in how it flows in the story/or that scene and the characters reaction and the aftermath of it, coz thats what it should be 😊 and for them to put a slap in it, it has to be impactful in all accounts esp from Gulaal and Kesar's pov...😊
I wasnt expecting a Gulaal and D scene, but glad we got one in a way (said alot) finally we see how Gulaal has lived with the truth and how she kept it inside her, her routine and her way of living with that truth, its her way of living with it - just like Kesar has in a way, keeping that inside him going day by day
Today it has got so much for her, that she has broken down and its not stopping - saddness and hurt, as alot has happened to Gulaal lately - one by one and JK's word was the last straw esp what ppl are saying and today she is missing Vasant more then ever, and what could of been if he was here
I think we saw how much D has to live with it, and we all know he deserves it and he even knows it, this guilt and this ache he has over what he has done will never leave him in peace, he knows that but as he said his only fear is ppl getting to know about it and also in the sense this family breaking - and Gulaal has somewhat been civil with him, it did take her ages to back then and even to believe D had changed and now it states that there is this silent understanding they have and distance. In however way you look at it, what D did - it coz of him everyone is hurting and living like this isnt it, in most ways, and the woman that Gulaal is, she will forever serve this family due to love and due to the promises and dreams that Vasant had and shared with her
As she said today, she has never forgiven him and will never, how can she when her Vasant isnt here, he took her Vasant, and no one will know what exactly has been snatched from her (and i say this coz it wasnt an accident (if it was an accident it would make a small difference), its not like a random stranger that did it, but D and something she has to deal with and has been dealing with)
I hope ppl atleast got some of and kinda understood the whole D and Gulaal thing here, and why she did what she did, and how she lives
Why didnt Kesar listen to their talk is what most ppl i think will be saying, but i am not surprised that he might of angrily walked away
The way we saw Gulaal today and how she has lived with the truth and keeping it a secret is also in some ways - Kesar has been over the years and also dealing with it, but with Kesar what haunts him even more is D and Gulaal, that never leaves him - that is what makes it even more heart-wrenching to see Kesar the way he is, with his pain and hurt suppressed in him, and his forms of anger
Wow what a scene between father and son, MB caught Kesar at the wrong time, he was all wounded up and he was in no way ready to talk at all on anything, and it showed in how he was speaking - but more MB went on and on, it just aggravated Kesar and so, and i can understand that Kesar feels like ppl are having a go at him constantly and picking on his bad things he does, when he feels and knows that other ppl obviously D has done more worst thing then him, and thats whats his thinking is and how ppl see him but dont see fake ppl like D and also Gulaal to some extent, and i say that coz of the way Kesar is talking and so on, and what we could see he was holding it in in about Vasant this and Vasant that until D's named was mentioned and that set it all off, and i agree with Kesar, he isnt Vasant, and to stop looking for a Vasant in him, and hoping for him and he can never be Vasant and also wants to be him (and i also think Kesar meant in a way, where he feels that he isnt even an inch measured to Vasant, something he can never be, he will always lack something and cant ever be in the same boat as Vasant, in a nice way not in harsh way)
I dont know what to think of the slap to be truthful (i am thinking it was def propped up to make it more impactful for Kes-Gul and for the future) (but it will def help with the story esp from Kesar's pov and his anger widening and more intensity increasing between Kes-Gul), i mean the way Kesar was talking to D, it would look disrespectful to the family members and so on, whilst we the viewers know Kesar and why he is like that with D, so can accept it and so on, but what a timing by Gulaal to come at that point when Kesar is all hell fury on D, and to slap him at that point - its not that she slapped him that gets me, its that it was that moment where we all know how this will look from Kesar's pov, and what he will think coz she came at that moment... and we saw such a surprise look on him, and in a way he accepted that slap without looking at her with pure angryness until he walked away
And i think Gulaal felt and somewhat cant believe she slapped him afterwards, she looks somewhat shaken by it and worried that she cant believe she actually slapped him and realised the impact afterwards when it was done and seems like Gulaal is exhausted as well - its been quite a day for her, and then JK throws in something she doesnt want to hear at the moment - Pati/Patni comment
D's last comment about Kesar kinda made Gulaal connect it with Talli didnt it??????
The more Kesar hears certain things, like we saw today and in that whole scene, the more he will hurt and hurt himself with pain, and the more he will think about D and Gulaal, coz if you think about it along the way so far, in his pov its like something is there for sure - and something always makes it seem its there and this i feel will push Kesar on the vegeance route, in what was mentioned in the TB article, Kesar i feel will soon in the future be taking this route, that could just end up mostly destroying himself
PRECAP - PB asking Gulaal to do the Vrat savriti, and as she is a patni, and a ritual for married woman, and she is indeed Kesar's wife and so on
