Hi I am Nitya...

Hope you all dont mind am jumping from one post to another post and writing my feelings about the show

I think we should not forget that Gulaal was in very disturbed state of mind and thats why she reacted in such an extreme manner. Else she would have never done that. morever, it is only Kesar on whom she can show her frustration and that is why this slap happened.i guess😕

This slap came more on what Gulaal sees that he is crossing his limits and also what state she is in at the moment and how broken she is as well, her emotions have been opened up whilst before she had control over them and also backed up her slap and how she let her some of her anger out in him - though what she said wasnt wrong, back to the scene, i watched the slap scene again coz if you watched what she says after the slap it makes sense to some extent, that this family is going through so much at the moment and had been in the past, and everyone is trying to keep everyone together, give that certain respect and so on esp as she mentions the elders of the family, whilst Kesar seems to be making everything worse and causing friction and so on - see that how it looks to ppl outside in how Kesar is behaving and so on

So no wonder how it looks to other family members and Gulaal, she has seen first hand how angry and so on Kesar acts

See as viewers, we totally get what Kesar is saying and doing and feel for him, and at the same as viewers we can see that he was speaking so out of turn and in the way he was speaking that a slap was due, the fact that it came from Gulaal gave it maximum impact and will shape up Kesar's mind and hurt from now on as well - only Gulaal could of got the reaction we got from Kesar at the point, the utter surprise and hurt and tears and silence from Kesar and to back away from her and leaving and then seeing Gulaal's reaction after he left as well

And D at the end says, this anger of Kesar seems like we make him even more distance from them all

You only realise the impact when afterwards in what you have done and this happened to Gulaal, she realised what she had done, and maybe she shouldnt have slapped him, how shaken up she felt and worried and hurt as well

I can see Gulaal keeping the fast, even if its not from a wife's pov but she will for ritual and maybe for Kesar's health and long life or whatever

Kesar's reaction depends on what his mind is more lingering on, what has just happened or what he keeps seeing, or the fast

From what i can see its all building up to Kesar coming to the conclusion that Gulaal has feelings for D, judging by the TB article

I guess the slap was needed to slap him out of it. But definetly not from Gulaal she needs to stop being so mahaan all the time. It would have made sense if MB slapped him but Gulaal even though her face did show guilt. Poor Kesar can't even raise his voice at Gulaal. Now i am really unsure about the future of Gulaal and Kesar, because I see absolutely nothing from Gulaal's side, but i am hoping that the sparks will occur when the Talli and Kesar proposal comes up that way Gulaal will be able to realise that Kesar is going to be someone elses and this time she will lose him forever. Maybe this might make her realise what Kesar actually means to her.

Who really has lived a normal life? Kesar hasnt and not even Gulaal and we saw today with D, how she has lived with the truth buried in her and how she has kept her all closed off from it to carry on keeping this family and having the responsibility she took and the promises she made and today she said she realises how alone she is, and just like Kesar he is alone as well, atleast with Kesar he gets some of his emotions out in anger, whilst Gulaal keeps it all on her only today we have seen her broke down to some extent and missing Vasant and how alone she is today, this what she admitted to herself

Kesar and Gulaal have somewhat lived a similar life, in keeping what they know and having that hurt and pain in them, whilst with Kesar he has another thing to deal with is Gulaal and D, and thats what haunts him day and night and makes me think back to it, its like he is helpless to when certain things happen, the slap is gonna be one of them when he thinks back again

Gulaal realised what she did, and i think she realised she shouldnt of done that, and how Kesar will be

After several episodes, we finally had one that made some sense and one where Gulaal did not come across as stiff and unfeeling. The reason was mainly the Dushyanth-Gulaal scene. Finally Gulaal clearly stated her motives for not revealing Dushyanth's crime. Recently the focus had been Kesar and his anguish and Talli's infatuation. Today to watch Gulaal talk to Dushyanth openly about his crime was heart wrenching. Dushyanth's remorse and still palpable, pitiable fear about his future and past were very well enacted. Later we also see Dushyanth asserting his presence as a panch of the household when he stands up to his mother and accepts his responsibility towards his family.

Kesar's outburst to his father about not measuring up to Vasanth's ghost was excellently thought out - a caution to everyone imposing their dreams and aspirations on another person. I thought the slap was at an interesting juncture. Just as Kesar was building up steam and was pushing forward to spill the beans about Dushyanth, Gulaal stepped in and literally dealt him the "high hand". Interesting that Gulaal's dialogue ended with addressing Kesar in the third person instead of saying "tumhe bhi ye karna hoga "- was she consciously/subconsciously signalling to him to shut up about Dushyanth?

Talli was missing much of the time, I wonder of she will get a hold of the letters, chunnar or diary by next couple of episodes...when is Sudha going to tell her daughter to be independent?...

There was a reason why Gulaal was like that and has been, as she said and made aware to us, that she kept the truth buried in her and herself controlled and lived like this so she could keep this family together, all she has done and will do for Vasant and the family, and today that she has broken down - her emotions came out, those emotions that she has kept inside of her, control and closed off to them as well, knowing full well if she lets it out, she wont be able to stop in a way. Like Gulaal says what she has been snatched of, no one will understand esp not D
And it something not only D has to live with but also Gulaal

The slap was at a good junction only coz it gave max impact and will do from now but we also saw the aftermath of Gulaal on what she did, and yes i do believe she sub-consciously said something that signalled to keeping quiet about D and keeping everyone together

It is building in the sense how Kesar sees things and what conclusion he cames up with, coz at every turn he has to deal with G and D and what if there is something despite everytime he thinks there is nothing something or someone does something that indicates the otherwise to him

I wonder how Kesar and Gulaal will be after the slap and how they will face one another

Yes, i also somewhat agree to this

Gulaal has had a quite a day, she has been opened up and she let her emotions come out, and then Kesar doing the hungama, she reacted i guess as well but she also reacted after the slap in what she did, and maybe shouldnt have done that

Slap will be taking the story forward lol
