I think he is much more affected, i.e. gone further done the love lane than she is at this point.
There is also this aspect of his regret at not being able to save Antra. He is extra protective towards Guddan, and the fact that such dangerous things happen under his own roof must be frustrating for him. He will not be able to take it if anything happens to her on his watch. I feel he is being extra alert nowadays.
Ofc, that regret is a big part of him... and it has always played a factor in him being so protective over Guddan whenever she's in trouble. It's the reason why he didn't want Guddu to talk about dying during the raddi kand... it's a sensitive issue for him.If Guddan ever gets close to dying, AJ will just lose it completely. Antara's memories will come haunting him immediately and he'll go crazy thinking he can't take that loss again. I actually want a scene like that in the show... and I'm pretty sure we'll get it too, once AJ's feelings have grown sufficiently ❤️As for now, he does need to be more alert... a snake in the store room, a nail in the cooker lid... all sorts of fishy things happening around his wife It's time he starts giving them some serious thought...
