Coming here after discussing and wanting an Abhira reunion for a few hours, it might seem hypocritical coming from me, but Virat-Sai are the biological parents and should get together for their kids is just not valid anymore. If Virat had married anyone on the surface of planet earth, other than PL, the woman who single-handedly ruined Sai's life (helped ably by Chavans and Enormous himself), it would have seemed plausible.

Sai asked him for one thing - PL out of CM. He instead, got married to her and made her his wife and the mother of his adoptive son, handed over the rights of malkin to her. IMHO, that is what killed SaiRat. It's a TV show, I'm not looking for feminism, but I want the evil gets shouted on, evil loses drama on my screen at least. The ML to have a redemption arc (not a jealousy arc) and blam! Reunion. It's an ITV trope - degrade one character, generally ML and then the FL gets pregnant during separation. Rishta, Ghum, KKB, Kyunki, Kasauti, YHC, etc etc. But pre leap mein zyada hi ho gaya. Virat needed to make a few maafis, grovel a lot etc.

And it is also a fact that due to offscreen dynamics, we might never see Enormous shouting at Letter. I mean look at how much everyone enjoyed her roasting today. Audience used to love Now from Rishta shouting at Soul and putting her down when she flew too much pre leap. Audience will root for Satya bhaiya if he keeps throwing truth bombs at Letter didi because we know the ML won't even raise his voice at her.

It is why people want/wanted reunions of MaAn, AbhiRa, IshRa (Raman was savage with Shagun in the beginning), RaghVi (with his Bada Bindi etc.), AryLie. The MLs were damaged, but they were also savage at some point.

Sometimes I wonder if the idea is to keep two couples so that the offscreen couple can have screen time together, Virat doesn't have to shout at his pyaari cheez and both have custody of one child each. Sab equal, including screen space 🤣

Makers wants us to forget it and without surrogacy Virat marrying Pakhi cannot be called betrayal because he did when he thought Sai was dead , Pakhi was in sacrificial mode and like he claimed he never fell in love with Pakhi despite the attempts to move on so it was just an arrangement for adoption. I appreciate your perspective about Virat, but nope, I don't think he has been savage enough with Pakhi or any of the Chavans for that matter. Again, that's my take on it. Every ML has his moments is right, but Chavans are more toxic than most ITV shows - 2.5 years of toxicity. From the mirchi peesna to the surrogacy, Chavans have wronged Sai several times. He has never been as stern with Pakhi as he was with Sai. His hypocrisy between the treatment of the two is an open fact.

I'm honest - I'm not looking for feminism or womens' rights in ITV shows. I want a strong Sai, and as someone who loved SaiRat till the Shruti track, wanted them together for the longest time.

Anuj, Abhimanyu, Atharva, Rudra, Raghav etc made 1-2. It's easier for me to root for these MLs when I compare them to Virat. If AA was brought in in the other show sometime later after the ML had been butchered even more, I think he would have been someone I would have rooted for also. Currently, one mistake does not equal the end of everything in my eyes ON INDIAN SOAP OPERAS, especially if the person is guilty. Again, that's just me and my following of the show. Virat has never really been guilty. He wants Sai, he says as he weeps. I've wronged Sai so much, forgive me Sai - he has never said this.

So obviously take my opinion with a grain of salt. Because I ask myself if I would feel the same way if someone else played Virat, and I don't know the answer. Neil's Virat does not evoke in me, any empathy. Would Parth Samthaan's Virat, Vikram Singh Chauhan's Virat, KSG's Virat, Barun's Virat also not evoke any emotions? Don't know.

V was wrong in agreeing to P as surrogate and in bailing P when Sai was refusing him and Sai could have stayed in Nagpur and filed a court case formally. The genetics were in favour of her like they are now. She would have won custody even then. It would have been easier to prove.
