Saavi saying Chavan doesnt mean she will go and change the name immediately. It actually means providing legitimacy to her birth.

Saavi was borne out of CN, her birth certificate does not have V's name. Gulab and Kankavli people have made horrible insinuations about her. Declaring V is the father officially is a proof of her authenticity and character certificate to Sai... which many are not willing to give (including BK till K's stunt and Sonali even now)....

It was not needed per se... but thats the overall picture... also helps establishing Sai's rights on Vinu and Saavi and herself as V's first wife... which is needed for the next track.

According to me Pakhi should have started her life fresh after Samrat death and she knew that sairat love each other but to get Virat back in her life after hearing cafe conversation of ninad and Virat she decided to come back to chawan house.

The same chawans knowing Virat past with Pakhi allowed her to become surrogate and whole family knew Sai and Pakhi equation very well....still Virat and Ashwini was ok that baby is implanted in Pakhi womb...how can they agree?
