Ste has been brainwashed into believing that joint family mein sab chalta hai and also that shes a really difficult person to be with, that nobody can like/be fond of- so she should be grateful for what she has. The people she looks up to- Ashwini, pullu, V- everyone makes excuses for CN , asks her to forgive, defends bad behavior of family etc. So its no wonder she is like this now. Thats the vibe I get from the way Ayesha performs it.

Sai doesn’t forgive people because she doesn’t have options or financial security. She said it twice now that if you cannot change the situation of what happened then you forget that. The conversation Virat and Sai had after kaku asks for Chirag, she jokes about Virat ousting her, she says I can either think of that and keep crying or I can laugh about it. Which option is better. In my opinion she is more forgiving of people coz of her inherent nature.

She had stayed in hostel used her Aabas pension money multiple times when she left … so CN folks might think she is here due to financial problems but no she is not shown to be dependent solely on that.

Sai always came back to Virat because he apologizes and She still has respect for the one thing that when her Aaba died this man stood by her. The essence of Virat is also show to be a nice human from Sai’s perspective but
Has lot of anger issues.

Regarding joint family yeah she is shown that she doesn’t understand all of the functioning of it. But doesn’t stop from putting her point forward.. she has gradually changed to not argue with everything and just ignore. There were couple instances where Virat tells her not all fights are worth fighting and the elders are from older generations they don’t understand Sai’s pov easily. this doesn’t give the CN folks a pass but I am speaking from Sai’s perspectives. She craves for a family. For the longest time she kept saying it was only Aai and Devi tai. Even if it was for brief time Kaku also melted and was genuinely wanting Sai to get well. So I think Sai’s pov when in the recent episode she tells Virat that no matter what your family will stand by you. Does she feel she has them as family at this point - No. all of them showed their double face.
Sai is not Demi god for sure… to me she is still the strongest woman but with a ton of compassion that the normal human might hold grudges but Sai doesn’t. She is strong and has lot of pain in her heart clearly says she puts up a brave face but it isn’t easy. The only beef I have is that her pain is never addressed properly.

anyways those are my thoughts and opinions!

I dont think it's so easy to just get up and walk away especially when she has nowhere to go. No savings. She still doesn't have a job. Shes neither a child nor a full fledged adult thats independent. She is also unfortunately emotionally attached to these people because some of them have intermittently shown her kindness, love and care too..so as a pure hearted person she always recalls with gratitude and affection everything V, Ashwini, Sam, etc have done for her. And right now she is in love with V. She has only chosen to see everything he has done for her and he has done a lot in between all the crap and she loves him for all that he is with the flaws - because Sai is too pure. She only sees things half full.

Wasn't she living like that before her kidnapping? She had moved out. She still could lead that life even now. See it's fictional, they'll behave how writers wanna so i don't wanna get into that but the way her character has been weakened in hopeless manner. Being pure forgiving hearted & let people walk all over her is another. Right now she's just like any other regular ITV Bahu.

By balance I mean between drama and Sairat scenes. They have lost that basic essence which made them a hit. If only they understood that every show operates around a similar set up - joint family, drama..but there is always a USP that's normally the main couple. They somehow thought or maybe some data analysis told them only drama works for Ghum.

It's going to be difficult to get back I feel. The remarriage hardly got any traction.

Short term mein it's fine but if they had pursued a realistic story of her life walking away, she'd had to work n study, make ends meet. The pension/scholarship will exhaust and then what.... And ultimately she needs emotional security as well. And she's craving for the family so she will take what she gets. Shes also a forgiving person in general. She chooses to see the good in everyone. She is picking her batyles now because she is accepting that people are not going to behave ideally.

I agree but.. Her pain just can not be brushed under the carpet.. She needs to give them back equally like she did earlier.. That was her basic traits..

The biggest flaw in Sai that she is too quick to judge.. Still she is doing the same mistake with virat.. Whatever Sada told didn't register in her mind..

What I could see vanker's thought process.. This guy comes across sadist and mysoginistic which reflects in his story telling ..

Now coming to who is better that's Sai bai any day til now.. She is so clear in her head.. One can easily connect with her thought process.. She is extremely thought provoking lady.. That's why she is the biggest threat matriarch like bk..

There are girls I know who married early face the same emotional turmoil accepting their marriage.. Over here writers just extended it.. There are many independent girls who are compromising the most in their marriage..

However makers needs to buckle up to retain their position.. It's high time they give some real and logical character arcs to both leads.. Sai's character is real and scary.. But we are not watching sabdhan India.. He needs to stop promoting abuses, violence and harassment to ladies..

Shes not a push over. She renains opinionated and even stubborn. She doesn't change her pov or accept anything if she has made up her mind. But she tolerates CN folks because shes accepted them as family with all their flaws.

The promo was a flop. This show deserves to be shut down. It'll face same fate as Udaiyaan. It's not early 20's that audience will be glued to watch FLs getting tortured everyday by fam & husband. Either they prefer a strong FL or a supportive ML. Time changes people.

The ratings should go down further. They've not addressed anything which Sai has been facing ever since she got married, the makers don't even think ML was wrong, kept shoving down his invisible dukh dard peeda for months which were self-inflicted & got just one round of humiliation from the family. The writing is SOOOOO LOPSIDED!!! It'll never be acknowledged on the show.

I agree with much of what you said. But i also feel that lack of enough emotional, family, financial support means that she will accept CN much more easily and be more forgiving. It'd be way easier to say F off and walk away if she had backing. Infact if she had any family/support, she'd not be trapped here at all. And having tried to walk away and briefly living away she knows its not easy. But agree she has craved fir family and now she is navigating by staying put instead of walking away.

- tolerates is the keyword. You gave it away yourself. Sai's core characteristic was treating people the same way they treat her irrespective of age. That thing has been taken away!

She is forced to be cognizant of bahu responsibilities, societal pressures, emotional attachment. She has no one to back her if she walks away. Yet she doesn't choose the easy route of just conforming to things and staying neek. She is navigating the choppy waters the best she can. She is literally alone. The only person who has actually been a fairly constant support is pullu but that man is too weak to take a stand and behave like a father/brother. He only offers a shoulder to cry sometimes and is distant in his support. Toh Sai has no options. She cant leave her studies. She has bare minimum financial support from pension/scholarship, no family, no close friends. Shes no longer a child to avail of any special benefits of government etc. Shes a legal adult and married too..she is stuck!

@bold This I can relate to....at the centre of all this is Virat....it is actually her emotional attachment to him...but he comes with a package....and she is all alone 😭

What is unrelatable is how she forgives people easily - that is not possible. Humans can never be saints. Not holding a grudge under the circumstances itself ia a huge, huge deal...but caring for the same people who wrong you - that is not believable. There is no human on earth who can be this angelic. It is different to play their game, be patient because that is the only way out....and quite another to be this forgiving and do good for these people.
