I dont think Sai is a demi god. Ayesha conveys her hurt, pain, gussa well. But i think she forgives it because she has no option. Koi aur family nahi hai. Financial security nahi hai. Ste has been brainwashed into believing that joint family mein sab chalta hai and also that shes a really difficult person to be with, that nobody can like/be fond of- so she should be grateful for what she has. The people she looks up to- Ashwini, pullu, V- everyone makes excuses for CN , asks her to forgive, defends bad behavior of family etc. So its no wonder she is like this now. Thats the vibe I get from the way Ayesha performs it.

That's worse. That makes her a weak character. She is a selfless soul but with no self-respect whatsoever.

I disagree. She does take a stand and is not meek. But she doesn't have the emotional or financial security to walk away. So its not lack of self-respect. Shes grown attached to these toxic people so she's stuck in a rut. They are all bipolar. She remembers their good behavior and forgives easily and doesn't hold grudges.

I feel her struggles are very real. She had wanted to walk away many times but is held back by many reasons. She is forced to be cognizant of bahu responsibilities, societal pressures, emotional attachment. She has no one to back her if she walks away. Yet she doesn't choose the easy route of just conforming to things and staying neek. She is navigating the choppy waters the best she can. She is literally alone. The only person who has actually been a fairly constant support is pullu but that man is too weak to take a stand and behave like a father/brother. He only offers a shoulder to cry sometimes and is distant in his support. Toh Sai has no options. She cant leave her studies. She has bare minimum financial support from pension/scholarship, no family, no close friends. Shes no longer a child to avail of any special benefits of government etc. Shes a legal adult and married too..she is stuck!

She accepts any kind of shit behaviour comes her away, those giving back once or twice doesn't make she's got spine. If she's attached to such people that's her weakness as a character. Sai's character no longer has character strength that's the point. She can't move out of this vicious cycle. With Imon it was different case as she was treated as the daughter of the house not just Ronno's wife. She was prioritised over their own son. Dynamics plays a huge role in character arc.

Thats your opinion.

I dont think it's so easy to just get up and walk away especially when she has nowhere to go. No savings. She still doesn't have a job. Shes neither a child nor a full fledged adult thats independent. She is also unfortunately emotionally attached to these people because some of them have intermittently shown her kindness, love and care too..so as a pure hearted person she always recalls with gratitude and affection everything V, Ashwini, Sam, etc have done for her. And right now she is in love with V. She has only chosen to see everything he has done for her and he has done a lot in between all the crap and she loves him for all that he is with the flaws - because Sai is too pure. She only sees things half full.

I still don't understand why they made every single family member so nasty. Getting angry is one thing, denying food because of the anger is inhuman. How does the writer justify all this ? The show did exceedingly well in the first year because of a good balance of all factors. They are majorly faltering now..

There was never balance of positive & negative force in this show. This will probably continue till the near end. Hindi writers are like that. They don't like making things go easy for the FL. They're sadists.
