Mirchi grinding incident was the first time for me. He supported his family and said that they were of 'purane khayalat' and asked Sai to adjust and do some kitchen work along with her medical studies. Then shouting at Sai and Aai during Amay track.

So many incidents after that. Can't believe that this the same character whose scenes I used to enjoy in the GC episodes.

Same here. This was my first too. As much as I was horrified after his throwing the food on the ground action, I literally wanted to bang his head on the wall when he called Patralekha his pyaari cheez in front of Sai and continued talking shit about their marriage and portraying it as being Sai's mistake. This was also the first sign of his victim mentality and his superficial goodness. The facade was destroyed the moment he started counting all the things his benevolent self has done for Sai.

I don't remember how I had come to let go of that scene and continued loving Virat but now to think of it, he didn't really apologise for his actions that time. If I remember correctly, he had just said, "main gussa nahi tha Sai, mujhe gussa dilaya gaya tha." Whatever that meant

For me, the final nail in the coffin was the ousting scene after DevKit marriage. From that scene onwards Virat wasn't the same for me. 🤔

They balme Sai for not apologizing and call Virat someone who is apologetic. I have always mentioned he never apologises for his words his behaviour..never apologised for all these instances you mentioned...for calling her mental..for calling her unworthy or her father's love..for comparing her with Pakhi..for wanting her to be like her..for mentally torturing her infront of his family....he has hurt her with his words too..too many times and has never realised. Infact he never realised he abused Sai the first time ..only till his Aai told him.. He never realised he abused her till she was proved right in Pulkit's case ..he never realised he was abusive even after Samrat told him he was..during the locking up kaand. That's Virat Chavan for you..does not realise his mistake till something untoward happens...does not apologise for his words..

Gaslighting 101 -

For me the first one was definitely the whole investigation on his marriage to Sai and he just threw the plate down without telling her anything. That was a slap to her face. And top of that, right in front of her, blaming Sai in front of his pyaari cheez. ugh!! The woman in me just wanted to slap him and tell Sai to walk out of his life. That was despicable behaviour from him. But the poor girl had nowhere to go 😭

But then after this, for me it has been a series of stuff from Virat

After he forced her to return to the room, Sai did tell him - mein yaha nahin rahoongi, aap gussa karte ho. And he promised he wouldnt do that again. And guess what, he continues doing that every time. His promises are hollow and meaningless.

He promised - mein tumhe is kamre se jaane nahin doonga and during DevKit rack, he throws her out of the house, not just his room.

Pulkit lunch kand - Sai made him promise that he will never deny food to anyone - and during ousting he did exactly that.

When he went to get her back from GC - he kept telling her . Sai its your own house so you should come back. Post anniversary - tumhe is parivar se koi lena dena nahin to phir is ghar ke mamlon mein dhakal andaazi mat karo.

Poor Sai is so emotionally attached to him and has nowhere to go, so he gives his hollow apologies and brings her back every time.

Mohit was absolutely right when he called Virat out during Sai's first accident - Sai vahini anaath hain na? unka maa baap nahin hain aur aap iska poora fayda uaathe ho .

Noone in CN questioned him about his actions - at least till Samrat was back. Samrat has been questioning him a few times about his harkate.

Sai's situation combined with Virat and Aai's emotional manipulation brings the poor girl back to CN every time.

Even during positive tracks, the promises he give her are hollow and meaningless - During MiMo track, he promised her to be best friends forever and also told her only she can understand him and his issues. And when it came to Sruthi he shares nothing with Sai.

Maybe Sai is right - she had diagnosed his multiple personality issue long back . There are not just 2, but multiple Virat Chavans inside. And he uses the ones he wants according to situation. 🤔

This guy is not just grey for me. He has a very dark side, which is a very dangerous side. This fellow needs treatment. 😡

@bold: and yet after all his realizations, he continued abusing her in a newer way because the old way got identified by people. Kudos to the way his brain functions when it comes to understanding and inflicting abuse 👏👏👏

I was never into this character but till the ousting found him quite real.. I saw that frustration and pain in his eyes because his wife isn't accepting him...Eventhough I tried to resonate that he is must be one of those guys who doesn't anything see beyond when it comes to his wife..

Today he hit the lowest ..He didn't even acknowledge his mother's tear forget he is qualified to be a cop or a good husband for that matter 🤢..And he has the audacity to reply his mother to the slap " Inam"

Writers are ruining this character but do they have any real plans to redeem..Vanker can't think out of the box except copy pasting word by word.. Because I seriously can't see Sai Bai going back to him.. 🚩🚩🚩🚩

Absolutely! He everytime talks with Pakhi... Why? Because she is the one who satisfies his male ego.. Who shows that she needs her... He loves to hear that people need him to live life but Sai Joshi doesn't and hence he only says that he love her but never behaves as a true partner!

1) When he told Sai she can't buy food with his money because he decides how his money will be spent during the PD Lunch kaand. He basically told her he was the boss in as many ways as possible that day and this way indicated he could do use her financial dependence at that point for his power trip.

2) Not telling Pakhi that Sai was accompanying them on the Ladakh trip. Sai told him to tell her and he didn't listen. He wanted to keep it a secret to avoid confrontation as much as possible. Unfortunately it led to a volcanic explosion 😂. But I would never want to be with a guy who just can't be open like Virat. Huge red flag.

Oh no one talks about it. But that was DISRESPECT. Extreme DISRESPECT. When it was already talked about there was no need to do this when he was performing the rituals.

He thought his two days infatuation broke up is more painful than a 18 year old girl became orphan

He nt even once tried to think the situation from sai view. How much pain she z gong through.

The greatness of sai is she never blamed him for her fatherless. She never claimed he is responsible for her father death.

Virat if he z slight hurt with sai behaviour he z ready to humiliate her accuse her and ready to gang up with his ex nd family members
