Jokey tha, but thats the reality...Prem Rog did influence a lot of people.. KAbir Singh as well. Both different genres, one positive, one negative, but they do influence the ones we are talking specifically about..

I suggest you to watch another Bengali movie kadombori devi based on true story of Rabindra Nath Tagor.. This lady was his elder sister in law.. This poor lady committed suicide.. Her husband did support her in education but they had one toxic marriage.. She found solace in her brother in law who was her childhood buddy...It was one controversial issue of tagor household at that time..

All human have their own reason to act or react.. But I shouldn't be generalising ..

But I have come to a conclusion that valuing ones existence is more than enough..😛

One truth I learnt in a hard way in my life is to not judge anyone of their choices. Like you said, that woman who fell for BIL, I would look at her life from her perspective and try to reason it out why? Eventually, the goal of any person is to be at peace. This learning has been a boon to me. Especially I would not judge a woman. Is there a book I can read? must be right?

I have time only for Ghum currently :D

She has written a letter before committing suicide.. She has penned down her entire life..Her being dejected every moment, pressure of continuous comparison, her loneliness and worst pain of any woman being infertile.. That letter was written for her brother in law.. You will be able to feel her pain behind the luxurious life she enjoyed.. Her loneliness was only could be filled by her devar..

It's a real life story of Tagor and his sister in law(Kadombori)

There is a movie made on it "Kadombori Devi"..You can search the letter on YouTube narrated by a voice over artist..

Kadombori was played by konkona sen.. She was in Aja nachle as well

PS... Her life was nothing like Pakhi *lol😂She had compatibility issues with her husband.. And her husband had addiction on spending times with dancers and courtesans..

Wow I didnt know this side of Tagore. The heartbreak must have made him a greater poet!
