Beautiful chapter. sai aai conversation was very real. Sai has been made to question her worth, feel like shes not worthy of love/family.....i really hope that just like sai is having a realization, virat will also have a realization of just how much Sai is hurt by pp's presence n interference n how much she has displayed that she values him especially in their bad times.....sai has always tried to exert her wife haq but has received rebuking so she has gone into a shell because of being led to believe that she's not her husband's choice....

Cant wait for part 2 n the eventual reunion. Update soon please!!!

Its been always you

Part 2: My husband

CN main living room

Sai was struggling to bring her big suitcase down the living room area in the morning. Mohit rushed to her help, while everyone else was waiting in line with the questions for her.

"Ok look she is leaving again?", Started Omi. "Where is Maharani going now without informing. Virat is not even here to ask her, now she has more freedom."

"As if this Jungli listens to her husband. When did she bother to inform anyone of her plans. This is a hotel for her afterall.", added Bhavani disparagingly.

"Arre Vahini, let her talk no", pacified Ninad. He is getting warmed up to his DIL day by day. He has seen her look past all his taunts in the past and take care of him like own daughter. He sometimes even thought that he never got the same care from Virat also. Why would he, when he has seen him neglect his mother all his life, regretted Ninad, and asked his DIL with this new found love for her, "Sai..where are you going child, you should let us know before you make plans, how many times you should be told", Ninad gently reprimanded her.

"Baba, I wanted to surprise everyone so did not discuss my plans with you, I am going to visit Virat sir in his new place for a week and come back. ", announced Sai happily, while Mohit nodded knowingly.

All the 3 elders were taken aback a bit, but did not hit back at her surprisingly. Ashwini is at dining table waiting for the war to start anytime, so she ran towards the living area in support of her DIL.

"Sai already informed me last night. I gave my blessings to her, shouldn't she go Ninad?", She asked her husband, trying to bring him on her team...atleast now for the sake of their children.

"Yes..it is nice that she is going to him", agreed Ninad slowly but with such a feeble voice that could barely reach Ashwini but not his SIL.

"Hmm. Now what?, you want to trouble him there also", shouted back Bhavani but not with disapproval that always comes along with her taunts. "Cant you let him be in peace for few days also. He just left a week back. And you cant stand his freedom", taunted Bhavani.

"What else vahini", joined Omi, "Maharani has no one to defend her antics here. So she would go and bring her lawyer again", said Omi with a question mark on his face not sure what he was saying.

Sai moved towards Bhavani, sat on her knees in front of her and took the matriarch's hands into hers.

"You are right Kaku, troubling your husband is the best fun a wife can have right?", Sai said jokingly. "And as a wife, even though a jungli, should I not be taking care of my husband, especially when he is all alone in the remote area, far from home?", tried Sai nursing Bhavani's flared ego.

Kaku didnt know what to say because she always taunted Sai for neglecting her husband with the word deal. Adding to that, these days she could feel the pain Sai was experiencing without Virat. How much ever she chides this girl for her nature, she cant agree more that her nephew is the happiest around this wild cat. She cant ignore the things that happened after Samrat's return as she could see through Pakhi as well as Sai clearly and the influence of Pakhi's attitude towards Sai. She for once could related to her pain as a woman and has been trying to avoid discussions around Pakhi and Virat for a while now, more for the sake of Samrat too! Seeing Sai finally take a step for herself and her marriage, she was happy internally that both sons of the house will be finally finding peace in their relationships. She was about to give her blessings to Sai when the dreaded voice came from behind.

"So you started another drama again to get into the good books of elders. ", squeaked Pakhi, making everyone to shrink in discomfort. Recently, no one is liking Pakhi's over the top behavior and her continuous proclamations of being the best bahu, without actually anything being seen.

"Why cant you just stop acting that you care for your husband, what you need is his support to pull you out from all the troubles you pose for this family. And I will not let you do that again as the elder bahu of this family. I will not allow you to trouble VIrat anymore.", she said confidently, expecting no opposition to her statements.

From the first day of their marriage, Sai always had enough of this lady's daily interference in her marriage. She tolerated her, more for her husband's sake thinking that she was keeping her husband's prospects alive. The walls she formed around her heart, also helped her to ward off the hurt the woman throws at her. She was also holding her off, because she doesn't want to disturb whatever equation Samrat dada and she has formed in their marriage. May be her husband was correct in expecting them to move on, when Samrat himself decided to stay in this marriage. But today, the way she was stopping her from meeting her husband made her flip. Flipped in a way, that she didnt care anything more than bringing this vile woman's intentions to the fore. All the elders who have been ignoring this stink, expecting it to dry down cannot anymore pretend to ignore the smell. She as the DIL of this house has every right to maintain the prosperity of this family, she concluded. She cant let this infestation creep into her marriage anymore and also destroy Samrat dada's life. She definitely doesnt have the patience her husband has to let it be, and regret later. With that do or die attitude, she pulled herself up from Bhavani's feet and moved towards Pakhi with such a determination that gave trimurthi the unsaid warning to stop interfering in whatever she is going to say.

"Pakhi didi!, Who are you?", Sai asked directly eliciting a mock laugh from Pakhi."I mean who are you to stop me from meeting my husband?", Sai reiterated with more clarity this time riling up pakhi.

"Did you see badi mami, how arrogant she is to question me like this?", she looked at Bhavani hoping that she will stop Sai's questioning, only to be answered with a disapproving nod.

Not sure for whom the disapproval is and by not getting any expected supported from the Trimurhti, she started attacking again "Sai, show your arrogance to your husband, I am not Virat to tolerate this nonsense.", She jumped at Sai.

"So, you agree my husband tolerates my nonsense, so why is it bothering you if I go to him and trouble him?, Sai picked her where she left. "Ohh...you are concerned like a family member, elder bahu and.." she paused a bit before uttering "and Virat Sir's elder sister in law?!".

Pakhi's face burned with anger for Sai or disgust that she called her the SIL of Virat, it turned her into fire spitting dragon ready to attack its prey. But she was not ready to face Sai this time, the Sai who is in full "Wife" mode, which she has not seen before or never expected to see!

"What rubbish are you talking Sai", spitted Pakhi losing her control and momentarily forgetting to paint the image of matured DIL on her face. "Hold your tongue or I am not sure what I will say to you", she warned.

"What will you say to me Pakhi didi, if you could not answer a simple question? Who are you to my husband? You are not able to say it aloud what is obvious, that you are his SIL, wife of his elder brother. I dont know why my question riles you up so much.?", Sai said casually before turning on her anger at her "Or you are the person, who is holding on to my husband's past and hoping that his marriage will end so you could have a future with him?", Sai clearly worded the obvious for everyone to hear. "Because I dont have any problem with you questioning me with the right of a SIL, ever. But if you are questioning me holding to the past that is not anymore relevant to me, and which has become a thorn in my life, then listen carefully Pakhi didi, dont you dare come between me and my husband. Dont you dare!", She repeated with pointing her index finger straight at her.

There was absolute silence for a moment, with everyone finally confronting the elephant in the room that they were trying to ignore everyday, like something as simple as seasonal flu, that will effect everyone in the house but one day will leave if left alone. But today, they are made to understand that this problem is nothing but a cancer which if untreated at the right moment can kill the dynamics in their family. Bowing to the absolute harshness of the truth, every member of the family stayed in silence with their heads low. Pakhi broke the silence again with her usual tirade that questioned their relationship.

"Your husband? who has an expiring date of five years? or who knows even less?", she said mockingly, "Why are you saying as if you really think of him as your husband", now challenging Sai to accede to what she said.

"Dont ever think pakhi didi, that you can get away with your rubbish", Sai shouted back and then controlling herself again she said "Ok I am a fool to say my marriage is a deal. yes I have put an expiry date to it. I agree. But you have seen our marriage, didnt you?. Dont you remember the marriage, that happened in front of your eyes. Virat sir filled my maang with Sindhoor in front of your eyes, he took the seven steps in your presence and tied this mangalsutra when you witnessed it. Even if I deny this marriage you should not be, because it happened in front your eyes, with my husband declaring to you that whatever was there between you till that moment ceased to exist. That he let in another woman in his life voiding whatever promise he made to you", Sai said without taking a breath, lest she will fail to see the truth herself which has been so clear from day 1, that her husband has indeed broken the vaada, by marrying her!! IT is as simple as that...she reiterated to herself finally answering her own questions on the vaada. Now with this new acceptance, she continued with Pakhi.

"So Pakhi didi, if that vaada is something that is making you build up your webs of delusion then the time has come to bring them down because there is no vaada to begin with after our marriage. Please, dont give me this nonsense on every chance you get and dont you dare push my husband into the guilt trip for all the misteps you took.", finally warned Sai, forgetting that she just revealed the vaada secret to Samrat who was standing at the corner and watching the whole drama with intent.

Pakhi has nothing to retort but to fall back to her usual blackmail tactic that she will leave the house after this insult from Sai. Bhavani was again, the first one to stop her but before she could utter a word, Samrat's voice echoed from behind.

"You should go Patralekha, that is better for everyone", he said coolly, "And I will also come to have a word with your parents." he declared.

Pakhi looked at him with daggers in her eyes, her facade falling in front of him that she had no other option but to hide from his gaze. She left the living room in a hush, with the seemingly strong resolve that was also falling down like her lies.

Sai realized the enormity of the words she just spoke and was terrified for a bit not knowing how to handle the situation. But Samrat's soft smile gave her the confidence to walk towards him and confront the truth that they both are tied to. The few steps towards Samrat felt like she was crossing a collapsing bridge that tied both of them to the same past that shattered their lives for a while. She has reached the shore safely, but the man she is now seeing, clearly looked the victim in this entire situation. Her heart wept for him, for she knows the pain of feeling betrayed in love. She went to him and held his hands.

"Dada, till you came here, there was no one in this house who understood my pain. No one helped me fight my fears. You guided me like a big brother to see things just as they are but not with the tainted lens of the past. You helped me find my husband again, whom I failed to see before! I will be indebted to you for this. But I cant let this ruin by staying silent anymore, not for my sake but also for you. I could not stay blind to whatever pretense that is happening in this house nor I have the patience of Virat sir to let the time take its course and bring the change. I am sorry Dada!. This is the truth some day you have to deal with. I have dealt with it in an ugly way, so I am saving you from the whole travail.", She said still feeling a bit guilty for disclosing the details of vaada without preparing him for it.

"Sai, I am glad you put forth the entire truth. Dealing with it piece by piece is no better than confronting it all at once and make a decision for once. Dont you feel burdened with what you said. Go to Virat and start a new life with him. He has been waiting for this moment, if I understand my brother correctly. ", he told her by patting her a bit.

"Dada, one more thing I wanted to say", Sai tried to veer the conversation to something that she didnt plan but suddenly felt the need to say. "Please forgive Virat sir for taking the most important decision of your life without talking to you. I am sure he wished good for you. I have seen him miss you and wait for your return more than anyone else in this house. Please dont let this incident come in between your relationship. This is the request from you little sister. Virat sir will be happy only when you are by his side." she pleaded.

"Wah Sai, speaking like a true wife, huh", Samrat chuckled but not without the hint of hurt that is evident in his voice. "I have forgiven Virat for the decision he made for me, afterall I know my brother wanted to give me something that I loved. But sorry Sai I cannot forgive my brother who hid the truth from me, yet. It doesnt mean I dont love him, just that I cant come to terms with him hiding such an important thing from me. It will take some time to rebuild the broken trust. It will one day, but I want you to understand and give me sometime to forget the hurt.", he said clearly to which Sai had to agree.

"Dada, whatever decision you make please keep in mind that people change and so will their feelings.", Sai said trying to hold on to the hope that Pakhi and Samrat will resolve their differences.

Taking everyone's blessing who are now slowly coming out of the shame and feeling glad that the storm had finally subsided, Sai made sure that Mohit has everything planned for Virat's birthday that she will be celebrating in their new place with all the family members.

Shaking off the debris of fallen walls around her heart, filled with the joy of meeting her husband, Sai got into the police car that was sent to take her to the railway station.

Note: I dont have any hope that Virat will ever show Pakhi her place. Nor reveal her in front of the family. It has to be Sai, with her sense of judgement will expose her for everyone's benefit. I want her to be as blunt as possible but also know that this will have consequences for Samrat.

Please make Virat also have some realization in this ff. Show mein toh mujhe koi ummeed nahi hai ki uss ko kuch samajh aayega....the pain/insecurities, doubts Sai had to face on a daily basis confronting his ex lover every single day, being made to feel like a 3rd person in her own marriage- these are things he needs to apologize for n realize. Sai has had to combat a lot more than him to arrive at the realization and acceptance of her love for him. Virat knows Sai has no one in her life but him but Sai doesn't. Its a big deal for her to swallow all her self doubt, insecurities, fears, pride n self respect to accept her love and behave like a wife, take those liberties with him- for whom she waa not a choice but a forced responsibility.... Everytime she has exercised her haq as wife, she has been rudely rebuked by many in his family including his ex. And despite that she's tried her best to bridge the gaps. For a 19-20 yo she has shown more maturity n understanding than can be expected from her.....she has taken in all the abuse, torture.... Virat needs to have some realizations too. I hope he does atleast in this ff....
