I was not happy about the rose either, because if they wanted to symbolize love, there were 100 other ways to do it other than using the rose we all know is related to Virat and Pakhi. But, I took it to mean that the past has awakened once again. Virat's "love" (infatuation) for Pakhi is dead, but those memories are going to be rekindled due to Samrat's misunderstandings. And those memories won't make Virat feel for Pakhi, but rather, they will force him to confront this entire mess he has created once and for all.
Exactly what I mentioned..it probably was denoting Virat's love that got burnt while it was budding , now having grown into a full flower in form of Sai!! It was about Virat's love and life and not about Pakhi or Sai..
