Did Virat respect Sai’s consent when she refused to marry him?

This was when he agreed to marry her but Sai kept begging him to run away since there was no point in her saying, “NO” to the villagers, they wanted to absolve themselves of all responsibilities and were not even willing to listen to her “no.” What do you think? He said you can run but I won’t when she explained why her no was not given any importance and she couldn’t run away even, where would she go? She has no one. The only home she had were with the people in GC who were ready to send her away with a man who is no less than a stranger to her.

Yes he respected her refusal that's why he was leaving Gadchiroli after she said No for the first time. But Sai's act after he left made him rethink about his decision, he realised that there's no one for her. She's alone in this world, that made him accept his marriage. The refusal of Sai wasn't strong, as I mentioned earlier, she was somewhere ready to marry Virat because she knows her dil ke acche Gao wale will marry her off to a different person and that person may be worse than Virat. Here atleast she knew Virat may be for small time but isn't completely unaware of him. She knew villagers can force her but not Virat that's why she wanted Virat to say No. But Virat knew she's lonely and marriage was only the option to fulfill her responsibility.

She dreamed to become doctor and enjoy her college studies .She was nearly raped then also she didn't give up but fate had other plans.After the death of her father all the persons who she considered as herself was in busy to arrange her marriage to a stranger. She asked him to say no because no one values her opinion but he was adamant in his opinion to marry her and also said to her about the other woman in his life.In my view before virat confess his love he must think about all those pain Sai gone through. He himself had hurt her many times.Now he tries to get physically intimate with her.I think it is a wrong move because it may bring her memories with Jagdap.First virat must openly talk to her at that point Sai may breakdown in front of him sharing all her pain(I like to see this track in ghum) he must heal all her wounds and then they must start their new life and on next stage he can confess his love

Perfect!! Thank you for this beautiful analysis of her past and current circumstances intertwined! And I absolutely agree with everything you’ve said 🌺 I also would love to see a track like that and I don’t like physically intimacy without confession between them because of the history they have and how the relationship started. Others are entitled to their own POV, idc.

Sai was not thinking properly with a clear mindset initially. She wasn't ready to even entertain the idea of marriage. She had clearly decided no without thinking practically of the alternative. When Virat refused to runaway, he in a way forced her to clear her mind. It is then when she started to think realistically. Hence all those questions came out that why he wants to marry when he doesn't love her. If she wasn't thinking about marrying him, she wouldn't have taken the discussion any further.

Sai then relented, gave her consent, which is why all that talk of going away after studies are completed happened. Her circumstances forced her, yes, but ultimately she herself consented to the marriage. If she hadn't changed her mind till end, then I am 100% sure Virat would not have gone against her wishes.

I would also like to point out that Sai is not some meek, submissive character who will marry solely because she was forced to marry. If she didn't want to marry she wouldn't have gone ahead with the ceremony. She has herself said she always does what she thinks is right.

As to the physical intimacy thing, I don't know when tried to be intimate with her, especially without her consent. (I am only watching clips on IG nowadays, not full episodes, so speaking from my limited knowledge)

This might be a bit greyish area but technically her consent was not there, she was certainly forced. Virat too was forced by the Villagers but he was more conscious & sure about his decision. He’s a grown adult making an informed decision, not the same with Sai toh

GC villagers would have married her off sooner or later. Virat may have seemed a better option. But in my opinion it was insensitive of him to propose a deal & loveless marriage to an 18Yo, who lost her father as well even if he believed he lost the love of his lfe. Sai wasn’t at fault for that. Like how did he assume she would also be happy in a loveless marriage? She wasn’t in the right mind frame to think properly but just like any other girl she would have also imagined a love life & marital bliss which wasn’t the case here. Worse a crazy ex comes as a package. See here Virat was 100% sure of marrying Sai. We didn’t see Sai’s POV for the same. She was helpless & she was a burden to GC villagers. So this seemed to be a good option

Tbh I want the show to trace Sai’s trauma from Jagtap part too. It won’t easy for her open up physically after all the struggles but I doubt makers would even think of this. For Sairat emotional intimacy exists but Virat needs to come clear on his deal& Pakhi. His present moves doesn’t really make sense to me because he was willing to throw her out a few days back. Love can’t be that unstable. He needs to earn her back by clearing Pakhi, deal & them proceed with physical intimacy

Brilliant! It's not about consent. Initially, even I found it difficult to accept the wedding, but after rewatching the episodes their conversations and whatever happened during their marriage, I understood things completely :)

Virat was not dying to marry d lady even he refused to marry her & later left d city but sadly virat has to return coz sai committed suicide in a low moment varna virat would had never shown her his face ever .

Sai practically married virat as she was not in to marriage that time so coz of virat's condition sai dont have 2 be his wife , if virat would had left then also she would have been married to some random person coz GC people want to get rid of her anyhow as sai dont have even a home of her in GC as she lives in police quarter & nobody was ready to become her guardian it was clear to sai, sai married virat coz of KJ on him. So she choose to marry virat instead getting married to some random guy & she don't know she will able to pursue her education or not with virat she can easily pursue her education.
