I am not sure if I should be asking this

But does Virat really love Sai?

I agree that he had always been in awe of her due to her bold nature, her unconditional love for his mother, her daring nature to always try to do right by people come what may.

I agree when someone stays with a person for long, that person becomes a habit and maybe Sai has become the same for him as well.

Had she not left him, would he then also have realized his mistake and done what he is doing now?

Or is it only an outcome of the fact that Sai is not with him now and he is mistaken this feeling as love?

NOTE:- Tagging a few.

I am pretty bad with the names

Only few I could recall

The answer to your question is please watch Holi seq you will know he loves her

The entire Holi seq he was behaving like a puppy in love and was at the back of sai

Infact he said he loves sai it was sai who could hear

And yesterday he told Pakhi also he loves sai

I have no clue when have u started watching ghum if from start you wouldn’t have asked this question if from middle you could read his actions

And if just started watching them I advise what later episodes you will know better

Just an advice 💕💕
Please don’t take any offense

Hmm, my answer is yes, this is genuine love.

Okay ,if speaking if admiration for a nature, than it applies for didi as well, cuz,he had this aww feeling for her. Acchi hai, sundar hai, susheel hai, samajhdaar hai, that too all these in first meeting for her. But, as we know this admiration partly was assumption as well.

But,admiration for Sai, it was a process. She was an arrogant teenager for him initially , then Virat got to know who Sai is ,what Sai is as a person. It got changed from bad to good, it did not sustain as bad itself.

But,okay, now where does love come from?

See, let's take the pain from Pakhi due to her deeds, he is just dissappointed, and true love always assures happiness, but with Pakhi, he kept his brothers happiness in fore front. And as I was saying, dissappointement, he has an image for Pakhi, and expects good only from her, her reality is unacceptable to him.

But .Sai, Virat does not want Sai to change, reagrding Sai's actions , he feels pain from them ,he feels dissappointed more not because of her actions, but because Sai does not involve him, confine in him. He does not want Sai's personality to change for anything.

And as i said, Sai's happiness matters to him, whether even today, coming to home, or bringing candy floss, or going against family and dissappointing them if it brings a smile on her.

Regarding habit of seeing, you know, their relationship is a not a normal one, there were a set of boundary which both drew, and technically habit is not allowed, cuz that is not the reality. And the brain has a restriction in this relation, so what fights the brain? Obviously the heart, it surpassed the brain, the vaada, didi mahaan as well and got Virat addicted to Sai.

It could not have happened if he had genuine love for Pakhi, cuz she was always present, and heart is involved in true love, but this happened for Sai instead.

And regarding his mistake, hopefully he might have. Cuz,he needed clarification in these matters of PD, so he would definitely have ,and he had felt love as saaf sutra raja babu itself, and nashe mein insaan sach bolta hai😆

Hope I could clarify your doubts.❤

Thanks for the tag,cuz serious topic mein kam hi dikhti hu🤣

You know it's love when you have a big fat fight but the next morning you bring a cup of tea to pacify her. You know it's love when someone will become a kid for you. Virat becomes the kid when we all know he is supposed to be IPS Virat Chavan. He tries to fulfill all her small wishes just to make her happy.

It is just the first stage of love. More to come.

I think the reason he liked Pakhi was because he thought she will fit his family perfectly.

But when he met Sai, he saw her as someone who challenged his teachings and his beliefs he had been taught up until then.

So yes I understand that it was a gradual process and probably that’s why he doesn’t want her to change because she makes him a better person.

I have posted this message in red in another post.

I too have my reservations about SaiRat getting together knowing the pattern and the history, but I do melt when they have breakdowns.

I personally feel Virat never loved Pakhi, he was attracted to her, but never loved her. He had this strongest bond with Sai from day 1 even though it wasn't romantic. He was drawn towards her and she mattered to him for one reason or the other, be it admiring her love for her aba, be it her selfless nature while saving pari, be it her intelligence knowing she was the topper or be it her fearless nature when it came to dealing with Jagtap or Virat himself as her aba's senior. This guy disconnected Pakhi's calls at drop of a hat if Sai called in between when he claimed to love Pakhi. He let Pakhi marry his brother for his brother and family's sake, With Sai he can't even take her fake flirting with someone else. When they were going to Nagpur from GC after marriage he naturally puts his hand out to save Sai in car when speed breaker hits. His protectiveness for Sai was from get go.

However, I have been deeply hurt by Virat's behavior towards Sai when he allowed everyone to walk all over Sai, especially Pakhi. I feel Virat consciously tried hiding his earlier feelings for Pakhi by shrugging it under a rug with different names like, aisa kuchh nahi hai, tum kon hoti ho mere or Pakhi ke bare main baat karane wali, Pakhi mere dost hai. I think it took him time to understand the difference between infatuation and love and in that time he did damage Sai. Also, he kept giving Pakhi upper hand just to keep himself out of the shame of everyone knowing his truth. Now, he is pushed to a level that he knows he is in love and if he doesn't draw boundaries the same love will give him no chance of returning back.

I also, feel early part of the marriage Virat looked at Sai as a teenager, but he soon realized she was a fully grown adult and started getting attracted to her. I feel he did feel hesitant to feel physically attracted to her because of his early feeling that Sai is Chhoti. However, he realized that she was his wife and an adult. I think this journey of coming to conclusions of Pakhi wasn't love at first place, for the burden of an old relationship should he ruin his life, I may love Sai and I don't want any woman to compare herself with my wife, he has travelled a rocky road made mistakes and has been a victim himself. So the whole confession of love hasn't been a prescription, but a process.

To me he was a various stages of love at various points. He was attracted to his beautiful bride at the wedding reception, he had jitters when she fell in his arms because of a lizzard, he was conscious when he caught her in his arms when she was falling from the chair, he was mesmerized by her when he saw her in yellow dress, he admired her cuteness when she was telling about how she likes cotton candy, he was moved when she touched his feet to take ashirvad, he was fliting when he saw her in his shirt and with his earphones, he was caring when his family made her grind the masalas, he was hurt when she fake flirted with a guy, he was jealous when she danced on some other guy's song, he was full of lust when she put alta for him, all this happened while he was craving her attention. The problem with Virat is not that he doesn't love Sai or his mother, his problem is he doesn't stand up enough for them and even worse he can be swayed easily. In hindi I would call him "Kacche kaan ka". Anyway, all the above examples are not definite love, but steps towards or I rather say journey to love.

I would like to add something here is you might argue that why Virat treats Sai the worst when others commit crimes get a free pass from him. I feel Virat is the worst with the people he loves when in anger. He has taken his mother and Sai for granted during multiple confrontations and let them take the hit, but he will stands up for Kaku and Pakhi even when they are wrong. I feel growing up in that house it would have been his survival mechanism to side with Kaku and let his mom suffer a little rather than go through a bigger punishment(mental or physical) by sliding it all under a rug.

In short I as I said in red text that he wouldn't have come clear with Pakhi even today if he wasn't pushed to a corner by Sai's refusal to come and breaking all ties forever.

Only because of this reason this question came to my mind.

Had he not been pushed to the extreme and had Sai not left him and refused would he have done what he is doing? ie. realized his love for Sai and come clean with Pakhi
