What are your views on hiding things from loved ones?

I have not watched the recent episodes since the day Virat is back to CN, unable to stop his sister's wedding. So all my views are completely based on what I have read on the forum or the clips I have watched here and there.

So I was just reading Laksh's post about Virat's behavior. That's when I thought of it. I am completely against hiding things from our loved ones, especially where you think that they will get hurt. It means that we are taking a decision based on an assumption. No matter how well we know a person, sometimes he/she might not react as we expect them to! You know, the person we see is how they presents themselves in front of us, so we can no where decide for anyone else!

Being a teenager, if you hide your relationship from your parents out of fear, that is different. But hiding things because it hurts your loved ones is different. Who is Pulkit to decide that he can't hurt Virat by disclosing the truth to him? How come aai wants to keep Virat in dark? All in all, these two have taken a promise from Sai and despite seeing how this is going, neither of them opened their mouth to tell the truth to him(Yes, UM too!).

So what do you think? Is it ok to hide things from your loved ones or you will share everything to them and support them when needed?

PS: I have already seen many people arguing over Sai hiding it from Virat, so I am not talking about it now. But you are most welcome to share your point of view :) . Let's keep the discussion healthy and I am don't want a Sai vs Virat fight here

One of the major ingredients in love is transparency also. If you're not honest with your partner then this is also a failure. We can't share everything, but if we try to cheat them anyway by hiding things which may have a bad consequence for their relationship, then it's really wrong

Absolutely not. One needs to be honest with loved ones. Need not share everything, but not hide things from them. Being transparent is how one can have a healthy relationship. Trust plays a major role in a relationship and that can be built only when there is nothing hidden.

Once trust is broken, sometimes it is very hard to earn it or to trust again too.

I usually tend to share almost everything, might have forgotten a few trivial things.

I'm totally against hiding something from your loves ones too unless it can have an effect on that person's health. In that case , better proceed with caution. If there are no such limitations, better advise them of the issue. The person whom we think of weak and do not want to hurt might actually be able to deal with the situation better than us.

Just to mention in case of sairat both are guilty of this. Sai bound by her promise didn't share the pulkit kidnapping and her plans to virat.

Virat hid from samrat his and pakhi story and ended up hurting that poor man more.

So, basically they both have this character flaw same as other itv leads.

For a successful relationship, communication and transparency are very important. Lying to your partner will affect the relationship and causes more misunderstanding. To make a marriage successful one needs to work on it every day.

If we talk about the show, Pulkit should be the last one to tell what a wife should be telling her husband. Even for that matter, Aai is equally responsible for the mess. I wish someone had advised Sai but in ITv this is norm but not in real life. To become husband and wife in a true sense one needs to be honest with your partner. Lying and hiding will destroy the relationship

I blame pulkit for not opening mouth but coming to aai and usha mausi if they opened their mouth, it will add more fuel because the stuff know is pulkit cheating msgs that's it... Although I am surprised how sonali also didn't mention about those msgs from pulkith and sai holding Kaku feet and all.. because that would have pushed virat more to believe sai is cheater. This shows CVS completely ignored kidnapping track and it's never gone come out

True! For me, love is always trust! Also, there should be things that should only be between the partners and I'd never want my parents or in-laws to witness our fight. But these two always fought in front of the family. I really want to see some development, where they two just go to their room whenever they have an issue with each other

Yes, especially when we completely trust a person, if it is broken, it hurts🥺 I have always seen my parents sharing everything with each other. But I have seen my friends hiding things from their partners. But this comes with guilt and also fear of getting caught. So one can't enjoy completely with their partner when they are hiding something.

Glad to see that most of us are on the same page :)
