Wow! I'll sleep with the happy thought that there are two Jaime fans in this forum...

I'm not really expecting such great writing from ITV. But I still don't believe it was impossible to create a more interesting character. At the least, she could have been shown as a shrewd vamp.

Jamie Lannister is one of my fvrt grey character. And I like such characters the most.

Thats why I m waiting to add some dim to Pakhi character.even if her hatred for virat for breaking promise but not pinning after him .

Even I m happy to meet Jamie fan over here.

But that doesn't give her the right to be mean to sai, spoil her life in every possible way and make her bad. Damit sai suffered a lot more than Pakhi. She doesn't have empathy towards anyone, be it Devi or Shivani. She being jealousy every time and not ready to accept the situation and can't see Virat happy...she is so selfish

Add on to this her acting like shusheel bahu and lecturing on relationship and actress zero expressions irritates me

@bold, green

Agree with you on those points. Also, Pakhi isn't even bothered about Samrat. At least as a part of the Chavan family, she should look for Samrat, if not as his wife. Pakhi has just assumed that Samrat died & she can do whatever she wants.

I also dont mind she being the third wheel between sairat because we all knew from the starting that this is a love triangle so I was kind of prepared for this extra wheel to be there always.

Yes its irritating that pakhi is always mean to Sai but then given their situation when she see Sai as her competition, her behaviour is natural. I dont even hate her as she is unfaithful to Samrat. I know what I believe here is an unpopular opinion but I held Samrat equally responsible whatever the situation today between Sairat and pakhi. Pakhi doesnt feel anything for samrat because he didnt even live with her for a day. He just ran away from the situation. However good his intentions were but he kind of pulled up a coward act. Virat moved on easily because he got someone as his life partner so it was always easy for him but pakhi didnt have anyone. If Samrat had stayed and then also pakhi had nurtured love for her devar then it would have been really toxic and unbearable.

So in my opinion , reason for irritation from her character is somewhere similar to the option that her role is not nicely written. She lacks depth. Even if she had been turned to vamp then it would have been a great choice. but she is shown as miserable confused person and keeps blaming everyone else for her situation. Never accepts her feelings for virat even when sai directly ask her. She is shown just as attention seeking, self obsessed person. who doesnt have any logical base of doing her actions.

I am curious to know why samrat is EQUALLY responsible. I complete respect your views. I am just curious here. I agree he should have confronted and not run away from the situation but he is not equally responsible for the misery in her life ( she and Virat are )If he ran away after she told him her part before marriage , then i complete agree with you.

That guy was betrayed at both ends. And even when his parents gifted the honeymoon package she bluntly refused. So firm in her decision to not even give this a try. ( I get it she is still not over her love). From samrats perspective, it just cements what she wants. He was selfish to go MIA and put his family through so much. But he is no way an equal contributor to this situation. Maybe 20 percent maybe.
We also don’t know how Pakhi would have been if samrat was around. So don’t want to comment on that.

she could have defiant been written better than the confused and sad atma currently haunting the screens.

And also the actor playing RK portrayed the character so well. I just wish the OTT reactions of hers could tone down a bit. Can’t comment about the rest as the writers dropped the ball on how they want to shape this character.

Ok here is my understanding of Pakhi's character.

Disclaimer: Only talking about characters not real actors.

From what the story has shown these are the character traits.

1. She is very beautiful and she knows it. may be doesnt shy off to use it to her advantage.

2. She is very pampered, thanks to loving parents. But not 'empowered'.

3. She is ziddi, not outwardly like Sai. She hides it well, but she has entitlement issues.

4. She has never faced any difficulty nor rejection. She thinks Virat's rejection is her biggest setback. Imagine if she was in Sai's situation under Jagtap. She would have died of palpitations.

5. She doesnt accept her mistakes. Sai's/Ashwini's direct taunts or Virat's kind remarks have no impact on her. Basicaly zero self respect.

In contrast Sai's character. Just to show the difference in character.

1. She is pretty and cute, if not as beautiful as Pakhi. And she doesnt care. She is good natured and she knows it.

2. She is pampered and 'empowered'. She can bounce back from bad situations. extremely brave.

3. She is ziddi too, in getting things done.

4. She is also protected but her dad allowed her to fight her own battles. The way she fought Jagtap shows her spunk. One reason Virat is very fond of her from the beginning. Her upbringing is so rounded.

5. She knows she makes mistakes.

Now, Pakhi's character could have been grey if she had only entitilement and rejection issues. People with strong egos face this everyday. But the issue comes when she doesnt show empathy towards others. The behavior turns into negative when she has intentions that are not right, moral and legal. Some are here.

1. Virat's consent.

She might harbour whatever thoughts about him but she cant put them into action. The other party is not interested. even for EMA, however unethical it is, there should be consent on either side. Otherwise it is a crime!

2. Selfishness

She doesnt have an ounce of respect towards members of the family. She came here only for one person. This is heights of selfishness.

3. Morals

Wearing MS of one person and desiring someone is morally incorrect. If she is doing this knowingly, her understanding of relationships in general is very shallow.

At this point, I believe Pakhi is not a grey character. It has all negative shades. This person can turn into sociopath easily and can hurt others physically also. Not sure if Samrat will be able to transform her with his love.

PS: Virat can safely be guiltfree. With or without vaada, she has her own set of issues to deal with :)

This is one of the incidents that shows her lack of empathy. This is a negative trait for sure. Normal human beings will not behave like this that too when she knows that Samrat would have overheard the previous night's phone call with Virat. You should have shown some respect towards his feelings even though you do not love him. This is definitely not 'grey' trait :D

When their engagement news came, I was least bothered.

I have no issues with Aish as a person (other than when she behaves unprofessionally, or her acting)

My hatred is purely for Pakhi the character.

And that started before she even met Sai. Her morals are warped (to put it nicely) right from the time she said yes to marriage to Samrat, before she found out Virat was not at fault. Which is why I disliked her, which only increased as the story progressed.

Which is opposite of what attracted me to Sai and Virat both. Their morals. If I ignore this track, then initially we saw that Sai is straight forward, honest and courageous. For Virat, duty is everything. I myself value morals above everything else, hence like Sai and Virat, and hence dislike Pakhi.

Pakhi, even after marrying Samrat for all the wrong reasons, could have been redeemed. And even if I accept that she is a grey character and will stay that way, then also she is just too vicious for my liking.

@bold I agree. Grey characters are ok. Because we all are human beings. We can’t be goody goody always. Err is to human. Pakhi belongs to death eater category from HP world. She has chosen to be consciously vile and vicious. Don’t know if she is redeemable.

What an analogy! Very true. She knows she is doing wrong, but still does it.

I feel....Pakhi's charector has a lot of potential......

Actually in future she can become the second lead with samrat and not third wheel in Sairat's relationship if CV's show their creativity by introducing new tracks......they can show tracks which involve professional work of Virat or Sai....

Now She is just obsessed with Virat.... but when reality strikes her she should leave all these and act as a sensible person.....I want a proper redemption for pakhi.....

Their real life relationship never bothered me much....I usually don't watch their interviews or see their pictures...... I just ignore their personal relationship.....

She is selfish to the core period.

Because of her own selfishness she’s ruining three lives. Here for me three are Virat - Sai - Samrat. I won’t say Pakhi, because she chose to lead this miserable life. Which sensible sane person gets married to brother of the lover?

Love is not pagalpan its generous and giving. Not selfish which expects the love to stay single and miserable.

Hii guys just want to put my thoughts about white, black or grey characterization.

I seriously feel each and every human being is grey.noone is white or purely black.

Same goes with the characterization in fictions.one man hero is another person villain.

It's very subjective whom we consider white or black or grey.

Regarding the grey characters- whom I like the most.i follow any series or show just to witness their journey.mostly I stay out of couple wars and liking.so I always look at the characrization.

Let me give some examples of grey character- Jammie Lannister, maya from beyhadh and Manik malhotra from kyy.

Both of them were horrible at the start of series, irredemible, cruel, selfish and what not.they were full with flaws and did many irredeemable and cruel acts.

But it's their journey what makes them beautiful.

Now coming to this show.the only good thing about this show is noone is saint.every character is complex and have flaws.noone is purely white and that's good too otherwise u will become god.

Regarding Pakhi kind of characters I feel they are extreme.everything about them is extreme either their way or highway.

People are unhapppy about her zero empathy towards samrat, but I m happy that this is the only thing in her life in which she is 100% clear.she married him by imagining virat, she agreed to marry him by thinking virat cheated her.So from her perspective samrat a stranger .

Regardiing her attitude towards sai, from her perspective sai has everything which she wants.Right now she has made sai as her spot to vent her frustration and anger.Thats why she can feel Shivani bua and devi tai pain but she can't let sai win.So from her perspective she will do everything to make sai life difficult. Her vision is so clouded by rejection of virat, seeing virat breaking his vaada and above all her loneliness that rationality, logic, humanity, morality does not exist at this point of time.

PS- this is what I understand from Pakhi perspective as a character. Her thought process.
