IDK about the Tamil version, but in KD they were people with very antic thoughts, but never such despicable criminals. Even Emon and the family fights were like fun banters at times, not OTT drama. Some scenes between Emon and C-gang were like tom and jerry fights like we saw initially after Sai entered the house for example, when Sai made everyone eat food served by her, or when she tried to take a selfie with BK, or when made BK eat Candy floss. There was a bit of light-heartedness in the show. Here the C-gangs are total devils, the makers in KD did not stoop them so low. I initially thought that since the family is from a police background and Ninaad's life was spared at the loss of his comrade, almost like Virat's, we would see Ninaad in this version having a softer side. BUTTT BOYYY was I wrong.
Moreover, Rupkotha was an elegant vamp on the show (she reminded me a bit of Shagun and Komalika) and here PP is like a sidekick of the real vamp, BK. Hate to say it, the only good thing about the Hindi version is Sairat, other than that they completely destroyed the show. KD might be slightly better in terms of dialogues and plot compared to the scenes we have seen in the Hindi version.
Kaku and Sai have the perfect chemistry for the Tom and Jerry fights. It was good initially. Now it’s more villainous. Let’s see how they take it forward
