Virat is still a deal husband for Sai but Sai is Virat’s dil wife now. He has developed feelings for her (quite deep) and all the fights, anger, frustration are because his feelings aren’t acknowledged (!!!) /reciprocated (? Leaving a question mark here because sometimes I think even if Sai doesn’t love Virat back, he will continue to adore her)

well when they both get married that time virat has no feelings for her neither hatred nor love a sense of protectiveness was there , but for sai she hated him from their first meet , even virat told her same when she asks him to deny getting married to her , he said he know she hates him from starting onwards , but he doesn't hate her neither love her . now he has moved from that zone ab he has fallen for sai way too deep , he is yet to realize it , he is possessive protective , jealous at times when she praises other guys before her , he is in stage were he don't wanna loose her , sai also has moved from that hate zone she feels greatful that virat supports her education so and so , she is slowly getting into the comfy zone, but now she had buid an imaginary wall around her heart to prevent it from any heartbreak because she still thinks that virat loves pakhi , so she doesn't want to keep expectations from him , until virat breaks the promise that he had given to pakhi and tell sai about same , she is not gonna let her heart fall for him

When she asked if Usha mausi can join them, he got annoyed, he even then asks if he is not her family. He gets very hurt to come to know that after all the time, though they are married she doesn't even consider him as her family.

She of course has her own reasons, thinks he is doing it all only because she is his responsibility and does things out of force too.

First time during the rasam at home, she didn't like him doing it because his Aai was forcing him, she understands it that way. Then she asks him why did he bring her from Usha Maushis room, only because people will say something, she was convinced only when he said he wants her to stay in that room. Even the trip, she got happy only after hearing he wants her to join. The word zimmedari also acts as a barrier between them which Virat is oblivious to.

She always gets annoyed because she thinks he is doing it all only because she is his responsibility. She checks with him everytime, he asked her not to go to GC alone and when she asked why, he had said that she is his responsibility, she didn't want to step out of the car, only when he said he wanted to bring her, she got down.

She stays away so that she doesn't come in between him and Pakhi and also because she is confused and is not sure if she can look at Virat sir that way.

He has only now come to know what Sai thinks of his and Pakhi's relationship.

But the mere fact that nothing affects her inspite of them sharing a lot of good times disappoints him and hurts him. How direct was when he had asked, mein bhi tumhara apna nahi hoon while dropping her at college, he probes her too to answer. While tending to her alta applied feet, another direct question, am I not a person who can be loved. Even in the recent episode when she talks about split personality, and asks whom she likes and when said no one, he gets disappointed and annoyed and immediately asks why. loved your thoughts. they resonate so much with mine. also to add two cents to your post, as someone mentioned in their post(dont remember who), sai has never seen a normal married couple in her 18/19 yrs closely. she has seen her father loving her mother even after her demise. so for her love is just that, pure and impenetrable. she feels virat and pakhi’s love is like that. i think she really doesn’t have any other bad thoughts about them together. so she is always very careful not to come in between these two, the scene where she walked away when she saw pkhi trying to feed virat and never brought it.

and i don’t know if someone her age who never even had a crush before and having experienced stalking and sexual assault would be fall deeply in love. she is cautious and rightly so and more so with virat due to the conditions of her marriage. she likes him, respects him and admires him but she is not yet in love with him.

but virat with his age and experiences on his side has always been able to show his care and even his fondness very openly. now that he is falling in love with her, he is not holding back. but he needs to understand he has essentially married a child woman and if he wants those feelings to be reciprocated he needs to be more patient. may not be fair for him but it is what it is.

I have always been a Sai supporter..Sai preacher. But I do agree Virat is more into this marriage than Sai at this moment. At least that's what it looks like. He gets restless when Sai mentions leaving the house. I believe his reason to tone down Si since initial episodes were more to do with losing her than pleasing the family. He clearly knew if she doesnt the Chavan clan would want her out of the house and Sai would not care leaving the house if a situation arrives.. and he would not be able to stop her then.. if certain limits would have crossed from either side. Virat is clearly in a state where Sai not being around him is something that he cant even deal with. He is extremely possessive and protective about Sai. Coming to Sai the issue with her is , she is more stuck with Virat's waada than Virat himself. She has a lot of self respect and to some extent ego as well. Sai being young and having had no relationship/crush before needs plain simple words.. You tell her you will bad about her leaving the room , whe will understand without question. You tell her you want her to come to the trip, she will understand it without question. You tell her she is family she will understand without answering back. Sai was clearly told that this marriage is a deal and nothing more than that..Sai needs to be told that this marriage is not a deal any more in words and nothing ..no waada holds any importance except the one made to her , when it comes to her.
