But the point here is that Viraat is human. From his POV he has not done something wrong. The thing that Pakhi did right was that she noticed that this kind of behavior is out of character for Viraat which means something is really wrong.

Whereas Sai could not see past her issues and blasted on Viraat. He always asks her nicely first. This time also he asked her to leave him alone for a bit. For a man who had stood up against a family that he loves very much for her Sai needs to be a little bit more considerate of Viraat. Viraat would have told her what is wrong had Sai not brought up Pakhi at the first chance which she always does.

Exactly he was shown as a very down to earth, understanding character and suddenly he blasted unnecessarily on that Pakhi just kept landing in their room... Samraat went on a mission here his wife is also acting as if she has been assigned the job of a soldier on the border..the way she ran into Virat's room was as if the guard ran to ask if everything is fine.

Ashwini is as if using Sai as an excuse to bring out her pain of all those years from when she's in Chavan house the way she keeps talking or gloating but at the end she's not helping her....

I think this scene humanizes Viraat. There are things that effect him too. He had worked really hard to be an IPS and Sai so far has not shown any inclination of being sympathetic to his situations so far unless they were directly caused by her. She only pacified Bhavani when asked her to do so. He stands up for her without her asking for his help.

He thinks of her as a bachi and so far Sai's actions are backing up that claim. He just needed time process and Sai would have given it to him.

Yes, it humanizes Virat and shows he can be vulnerable too. Sai also behaved in an uncalled manner in this scene and there is no denying that because Pakhi was not in the picture and she saw he was upset. Ideally would have still appreciated him not throwing the plate though for the basic reason that it had food and the broken pieces (in a real scenario) could hurt any of them. Besides it, the one issue I've always had with the writing is that it accords that Virat has respect for instance for his mother but does not trust her enough to confess the truth of his *love* or any issue in his life with her, which in this case would have been helpful because he would get an unselfish moral support.

Sai was clearly not in the state to listen, and there is no reason to talk to her at that moment when both of them were so heated up, and Paakhi just anticipated the situation and took on that role for the sake of staying close to him, but I truly think that the issue lies in the fact that the females in the house apart from the high-caste bahus are used in the narrative mainly for drama rather than an actual purpose of being confidantes and/or rational people who can guide their sons and motivate them. Ashwini could have been a valuable asset to this scene to portray the true essence of mother-son bonding if only it was not considered so essential to portray the contrast and triangle at every point.

That might be difficult given just this current scene where her intervention seemed to have an effect of calming him down a bit. I also truly wish to see Samrat come back now yaa..and Jeeva-Shiva meeting and having a heart-to-heart conversation about this entire situation. The brothers can be the core of the show if explored aptly, and its been close to forever since Samrat has been missing post the revelation.

The operative words of the entire situation. Sai in the race to be always correct did not anticipate Virat's emotions at that moment.

As per the whole, the show has been clear about it being a love triangle from day one, and for ITV it is surprising that they are sticking to it.

Virat has never taken Pakhi's side over Sai so far and that is the crux of the situation. He stops Sai when she is crossing a limit yet has never run after Pakhi if Sai is there in the situation.

This is simple. The investigators are just not going to take Sai words for it since it has been said that Viraat forcefully married her so the statement from Sai could be coerced as well. Virat would have told Sai what was wrong had she given him the chance and not brought up Pakhi into the conversation.

This is what I call giving a person "Margin To be Human". Sometimes in difficult situations, you need time to sort things out. Telling Sai the truth outright would not have been any help, she more or less reacted in the same way. Twisting and misunderstanding Viraat's words as a criticism of her or her being the issue to his problems.

Viraat, I know will apologize for his wrong choice of words sooner or later something Sai never does. Even in the past, she had misunderstood Viraat a lot of times and when the issues had been cleared she has not bothered to apologize for example when Virat brought the replacement for Kamal she blasted him off and did not apologize after. Even Viraat said that it should not be that difficult to apologize.

Maybe he got some time to think about it, he may have come up with the right solution. His mind was clouded just like Sai was showing effects of the morning bottled up frustration. When they sit together later when both are a little more cooled off, Sai will definitely not hesitate to help him out, especially when she understands the importance of the IPS title and uniform for her father as well. Look forward to them moving together on this journey.

@Purple: Unequivocally this was an unavoidable aspect of the argument. If it was not included in the scene, things would not have escalated to this point.
