Part – 2

Maan asks Munshiji to arrange a one on one meeting with Darji alone… .

Munshiji goes inside the Handa home and comes out with the news that Darji has gone out for a khap panchayat, he would be back in a while… Munshiji says that they can wait inside till then…

But Maan prefers to stay in his jeep itself…

The men have gone out and so Ranno hesitantly comes out to invite Maan inside… .

Maan gets out of the jeep and goes to the entrance upon seeing her, he respects the elders very much, specially women….

Ranno is impressed by the respect he shows for a woman, saas to be precise, and that’s something unheard of by her.. she is so happy that at last babaji has showered his blessings on her daughter….

Maan had to go in, accepting her hospitality….

As they wait for Darji’s arrival, the whole house keeps chanting only one name, Geet….

“Geet, Geet, Teeto, tumne Geet ko dekha?”

“ab ye ladhki kahan chale gayi? Usko patha haina aaj kya din hai”

“tum log ne Geet ko jaane kaise diya?”

“Geet toh bina bathaye chali gayi”

“dhere baat karo, damadji sunenge toh kya sochenge Geet ke barein mein?”

Damadji kya sune? Unhonne toh Geet se mil ke hi aaye haina?

Maan keeps hearing that name again and again….

Maan remembers that name very well, how could he forget that name easily?

Maan now understands that it’s that girl only who was trying to stop him, but why?

Maan is intrigued that she was actually trying to reject the proposal even before he could, that not only make him feel a little disappointed but also seems to hurt his pride a little… maybe it’s the fact that he is a widower, but that is already accepted by them, so what’s new? Maybe the girl just found out about that… even then how could a girl resist our handsome hunk, the MSK… Maan might not be interested in girls much but he is always in demand amongst the ladies wherever he went… it’s not that Maan takes any pride in that, but it’s new for him to see a girl not attracted by him… and the other problem is that he is kind of attracted by her rebellious attitude…

It’s time for some self introspection, what did she find repulsive in the MSK……

It’s not like Maan is desperate, but still Maan only has all the rights to reject any proposal, be it in business or family, it’s always been like that, no one ever rejected him for anything, never ever, but there is always a first time for everything to happen, and this is a first for Maan…..

Maan gets curious….. He goes with dadi’s plan itself and tells them that he is here earlier, b’coz he is in a hurry….. he is too busy to be wasting his time in Hoshiarpur, haina?

Darji comes along with bhis sons and potha, they all are sorry for keeping Maan waiting….

Darji asks Ranno to get Geet ready quickly…..

Maan can’t wait to see the face to which those ever so naughty eyes belong…..

Aankhen se hi MSK ko uss ladhki ne zaroor impress kar diya hai…

Ab pehli mulaqat toh ho gayi, par Maan toh aada adhura hi mila haina?

Toh asli mulaqat toh abhi hogi….. Maan aur intezaar nahi kar sakta.. he has to ar least know whom he is rejecting, haina?

The Handas are getting their precious princess ready…. That’s how one would think looking at the hype created for meeting Geet…

As they wait for Geet, Maan’s eyes keep searching for those eyes….

He knows he can recognize them without much effort….

Maan closes his eyes and recollects those playful yet determined eyes….

How could he forget them?

They have already made their way direct into his permanent memory….

Maan is getting impatient as it seems like he can’t keep waiting for this so called beauty all night….

Ranno comes and signals her husband Maninder to come in for a moment…

Maninder excuses and goes to see what’s happening….

Maninder: tum log kya kar rahe ho? Aur kitne dher lagaoge?

Ranno: suno ji, woh Geet ne app se kuch bhola?

Maninder: woh toh mujhse baat hi nahi karthi haina? Ab kya hai?

Ranno: Woh hummari Geet haina, Geet

Maninder: uss ko abhi behes karna hai kya? Damadji ke samne sab ki beizatti karwayegi kya tummari beti

Ranno: sshh, thoda dhere bolona ji

Ranno keeps looking out at Maan worried…

Maninder: Geet ko bhulao

Ranno: Geet abhi nahi aayi

Maninder: kya? Geet ghar mein nahi hai?

Maninder loses his temper and shouts….

Maan senses some kind of trouble in the family…

Darji: ooye Maninder, wahan kya ho raha hai?

Maan: shayad mein galat waqt pe aagaya hoon, mujhe Geet se nahi milna hai, mein bas aap se hi baat karne aaya tha

Darji: aaise kaise hoga ji? Geet, Geet abhi yahan aao

There is no sign of Geet… everyone is scared of darji and there is complete silence…

Suddenly Ranno breaks down…

Ranno: Geet ghar mein nahi hai

Darji: ye kya bakwaas hai?

Maninder: haan darji, woh kahin chali gayi

Darji: tum logon ne usko jaane kaise diya?

Ranno: ji aaise hi batein karthe rahoge kya? Patha nahi Geet kahan gayi hogi?

Darji: issiliye meine kaha uss bewakoof ladhki ko band karke rakho, ab usse hum kahan dhoonde

Maninder: ye sab tummare wajhe se hi hua hai, hummare baat ko tum sunthi hi nahi , ab dekho tummari beti phir se bhaag gayi

Ranno is on tears….

She runs towards Maan…. She trusts him more than the stubborn stupid men of their house…

Maninder tries to stop her but Maan himself goes to her instead….

He knows her pain, the pain of losing a loved one….

Maan: meine bhi usko rashthe mein dekha hai, woh yahi kahin hogi, aap gabrao mat, mein usko lekhe aatha hoon

So saying Maan sets out in search of the girl….

Maninder and Brij too go in other directions to look for Geet….

Maan goes and finds the old man whom he met earlier…

He is returning home with his herd…

Maan: uss ladhki ko aapne kahin dekha?

Old man: kaun? Geet?

Maan: haan, wahi

That man looks at Maan in suspicion… why is this man inquiring about Geet?

Old man: tum Geet ko kaise jaanthe ho?

He is very concerned about Geet, she is so innocent to believe anyone…

Maybe he is after her….

Maan: woh mein usko dekhne aaya tha, Delhi se

The old guy immediately recognizes that Maan is the ladhka who has come to see Geet for the rishtha…

Old man: toh tum ho woh ladka jo hummari Geet se shadi karne aaya hai

Maan gets annoyed that this man is wasting his time…

Maan: haan, ab toh batha sakthe haina?

Old man: Geet bahut achchi lahdki hai, usko hamesha kush rakhna, woh tumme aur tummare pura pariwar ko bahut kush rakhegi

Maan doesn’t have the time to hear all this…

Maan: aap ne Geet ko yahan kahi dekha hai ya nahi?

Maan comes to the point….

Old man: Geet toh abhi abhi yahan se gayi hai

Geet used to play with the lambs often…

Maan thinks that the girl is ao immature and b’coz of her stupidity Maan is caught up in this mess…

Maan: ab woh kahan hai?

Old man: woh toh chali gayi hai

Maan: par kahan?

Old man: woh bahar ke rashthe mein gayi

Maan follows the road that the old man showed…

It leads to the woods…

It’s a barren land at the outskirts of Hoshiarpur…

One has to cross it to reach the main road to get a bus... She should have gone to catch the bus….

Maan is feeling guilty that he might be a reason for the girl to run away from home…

Her family should have fooled her into the marriage proposal, hiding the truth from her….

Or else why would such a beautiful young girl agree to marry him?

Maan had forgotten about himself for a moment….

He got carried away by her antics earlier that he didn’t realize his own weakness…

He was only thinking about himself and never about the girl…..

He was so selfish…. He assumed that the girl was desperate to marry the one and only MSK… he was thinking about telling her that he can’t marry her without hurting her, but everything is just opposite of what he thought…

Now Maan feels that it’s his responsibility to find the girl and bring her back to her parents…

Maan has reached the highway and still there is no sign of that girl…

Maan thinks she must have already taken a bus…

It’s getting very dark and it’s no use looking for her after this…

Maan decides to return and inform the Handas about the girl’s disappearance…

On the way back Maan finds an abandoned Wearhouse … .

He didn’t notice it earlier for there was no sign of any light then but now there is some lights glowing….

Maan wants to check for the girl there….

He gets down from his jeep and walks towards the Wearhouse….

Some men are using that as their hideout…

Maan quietly inches forward to see if there is any sign of that girl inside…

As he nearly approaches the entrance he hears foot steps from behind him and he moves to hide behind a tree…

Maan is afraid that someone might be coming to join them and must have seen his jeep….

Maan has to act swiftly and leave….

As the figure rushes to inform the others, the men come out having been alarmed by those foot steps…

One of the men has a torch and he splashes the light over that figure..

Maan is shocked to see that girl standing there…

Why on earth is she going there?

Geet: woh kahan hai?

Gundas smiles wickedly seeing her…

Gunda head: ye kaun hai bittu?

Bittu goes and whispers something in his ears…

That man has a cunning smile hearing that….

Gunda: toh tum ho Geet?

No.1 : bhai aaj toh hummari kismat khul gayi

The gundas look at Geet with greed… they think that they have hit the jackpot….

Maan didn't to marry, pataa tha mujhe ki he came down with Dadimaa only for pleasing her and he was intending to cancel the wedding plans by talking straight to Daarji and avoiding to create any further confusion or stress for both the Handas and the Khuranas!

But good of Maan to accept and go in search of Ms Hoshiyarpur!

Geet Handa gunde mawaaliyon ke kabze main!

It isn't unbelievable that Maan wahaan pohoncha like a Knight-In-Shining-Armour aur Geet ko bachaa hi lega!!

But does Geet get the required respect in her house?

I mean does her father or other males of Handa Parivaar know the extent of damage Geet may have faced if Maan hadn't come to rescue her?

Intriguing update

Maan is intrigued by the captivating ,mischievous eyes of his missing supposed wife to be ......

He suddenly wants to see her , curious why she blocked the road ( but she didn’t) curious why she doesn’t want to marry him ?? ( but does she want to marry him) ??

However our beauty is missing in action, out on her own adventure

Maan goes out to help find her b:c Ranno looks so distraught

Abandoned warehouse + goons + innocent geet = recipe for disaster

What is geet doing there ??

Who is she looking for ??

And what are the goons upto??

I am worried for geet but I am glad that maan is there to help our damsel in distress .
