At Hoshiarpur….
Next day….
Maan is very happy and content after so many years of being alone….
He is just taking his time and enjoying every moment with his sweet family….
He doesn’t think about anything else at the moment…
Geet is also equally happy though she had not been anticipating this kind of a miracle…
She is now happy for Maan more than she is for herself or Aditi…
Whatever it may be, the two have been together like a tiny family and with someone like Dev around Aditi barely missed a father figure…
But whatever that may have been, only Geet knows the difference between a life without Maan and the life with Maan, not only for her but also for Aditi…
Maan is the one with whom she can exercise her rights as a daughter without any reservations….
Geet already knew that Aditi is missing a lot without Maan by her side as a father, for Geet knows how Maan has taken care of her like family and stood by her everytime when she needed the backup…
If he could do this for Geet, even as a stranger, what wouldn’t he do for his own daughter?
Geet was all the while mad just because she knows what Aditi has been missing, that pampering and overwhelming love that Geet had experienced with Maan… she regretted every day that passed without the love and care that Aditi deserved from her father…
Now Maan will give her double that love and care for sure…
Geet is thinking about what next….
She has spoken to Dev… fortunately the conversation was possible on the phone else Geet would not have had the guts to speak with Dev directly watching the emotions on his face…
She is still not ready to tell this to Gayathri whom she respects just like Ranno…
Geet should talk about this to Maan… how good it is to have Maan back, now Geet mees not face anything alone… it’s always better to have someone by your side…
Maan is also aware of the situation, he wanted to tell everything to Dev when he found out about Aditi…
But he didn’t think that he has any right to own Aditi just b’coz he is the biological father, he knew how Dev has fulfilled the responsibilities of a father in his absence…
Moreover he first wanted Geet to approve their reunion and accept him back in her life, only then he gets to own his daughter….
Maan also had a plan B if at this plan A failed…
He was on the idea to target Dev instead of Geet…. Maan always wished for Dev’s happiness and kneey that he deserves someone better than Geet…. Geet is forever Maan’s according to him… so, Geet is someone already taken…
Maan understands Dev’s love for Geet and in all these years it has only grown into this beautiful relationship of unconditional support and a true friendship that even Maan envies….
It’s really unfortunate that Geet had to undergo all this but she is very fortunate to get someone like Dev at the moment when she needed a friend desperately….
Maybe it all started as a normal love story for Dev, starting with a crush and turning into a passion that was crushed when he learnt about Geet’s wedding plans…
When he thought that everything is over and he started looking for a closure, a new, mirage like, hope of getting back his love emerged…
later the relationship matured over time after Aditi’s birth… now all that he wanted was to be a part of that family and give a official recognition to their family….
Maan knew that Geet was insane to announce their wedding, he knows that she was going to ruin whatever pure relationship she had with Dev with her foolish decision…
Maan was anyhow going to tell the truth to Dev, if Geet still didn’t understand the reality, and stop the wedding….
Maan wanted Dev to understand that it’s impossible for Geet to move on and Dev should get a life of his own and remain Geet’s friend forever….
Maan was going to tell Dev that his doors are always open for Geet and whether she accepts or not she is his family and he’ll keep waiting for her till eternity… he doesn’t want her to feel left alone at any point of time and she should always have the confidence that there is someone waiting for her in the end…
Maan had an idea that Pari being such an innocent girl, who has lost her love and is looking for that elusive love that has been snatched away from her unfairly deserves all the pure love that Dev is capable of providing…
Dev on the other hand needs someone who values his love the way he wants… not in the name of friendship or any other relationship….
Maan thought that they would make a perfect pair and so indirectly tried to set them up by sending them together back that day….
He was selfish for he wanted to be with Geet without Dev, that’s why he made a winning plan to send Dev with Pari while that will give him some time to be alone with Geet…
He had also hinted the return of his lover to Pari and he also told Pari that they are back together to save Pari from any unwanted disappointment…
Maan’s plan B was Dev’s marriage which would free Geet off her guilt of being ungrateful…. he wanted Dev to have a successful relationship this time for which he was looking for a girl who deserves all his love…
That’s when he thought of Pari…
Maan is the one who has been constantly asking Dev to take care of Pari in his absence…
He asked Dev to go and meet her at the hotel and bring her back to his house, Maan asked him to do it as a favor as he could not accompany Pari to Mumbai as planned earlier….
At first Dev thought that Maan deliberately stopped Geet from going with Dev but then he realised that Maan never identified himself as Geet’s past and was not jealous of Dev’s relationship with Geet, so much confidence Maan had in their relationship that he knew that no one can take his place in Geet’s life, only he can, else that place would remain vacant forever…..
The only time that Maan crossed his line was on that night when he was highly intoxicated and had no control over himself….
Dev is happy that by knowing the truth he has at last got closure with Geet….
Dev first thought that he is only helping Pari for Maan’s sake but then he started liking her company and wants to spend more time with her….
As things have changed a lot in these past few days Geet is thinking about how this would affect everyone else, specially Gayathri and Dadima….
How will the Khurana pariwaar receive Aditi? They all think of her as Dev’s daughter…. How will they react when they know that Aditi is Maan’s daughter and they had been kept away from the truth all these days even after Geet met Maan and came to Delhi and stayed with them….
Geet is thinking deeply when Maan and Aditi come back from their play…
Aditi: maa, maa, look what I have got
Aditi has got a small bouquet of flowers from the garden that she made with the help of “Aditi papa”, Maan…
Geet comes out of her thoughts and turns to look at Aditi…
Geet finds that she has been playing in the puddles and so her dress is dirty….
Geet: what were you doing Aditi? Haven’t I told you to stay away from the dirt and mud? Look what you have done with yourself?
Maan immediately understands that Geet is disturbed by something…
Maan lifts Aditi who stands there looking at her mother with disappointment and takes her closer to Geet…
Maan: look at the beautiful flowers Geet, Aditi got it specially for you, and she made this herself, nobody helped her, haina Aditi?
Maan holds Aditi in one hand and hugs Geet with the other to help her get out of her upsetting thoughts, whatever that might be….
Geet then realizes her mistake and takes the flowers form little Aditi with a smile…
Geet: that’s so lovely beta, I love it
Geet bends and kisses Aditi…
Maan: Geet, even I helped Aditi a lot in making this, haina darling?
Maan looks for his share of appreciation…
As he moves forward in anticipation of receiving it, Geet Pat’s his chin and lauds his efforts…
Geet: very good job Maan
Maan: that’s it?
Now Maan is disappointed…
Geet: chalo chalo, donno jaake nahaalo
Maan doesn’t want to leave her alone…
Maan: Geet, tum bhi chalo, yahan akhele beitke kya karogi?
Geet: mein dinner tayaar karti hoon
Maan: tum abhi hummare madat karo, phir hum tummare madat karenge
Maan forcefully takes her with them….
After dinner Geet puts Aditi to sleep…
Maan comes to see them…
Maan: Aditi kya kar rahi hai?
Geet: shshhh woh sogayi
Maan: sogayi?
Màan takes a close look at her… she is fast asleep….
Maan then hugs Geet from the back….
Maan: toh Geet, hum apne kamrein mein chalthe haina?
Geet: Maan, chodo mujhe, aaj mein Aditi ke saath hi rehna chahti hoon, aap jao, aur sojao
Maan: aur tum raat bar jaagthe rahoge kya?
Geet: aap kya baat kar rahe ho?
Maan puts his fingers on her lips…
Maan: chup, bilkul chup
Geet looks at him puzzled…
Maan: chalo mere saath
Maan takes her out to the hall…
