Hai guys....wishing you all a very happy DIWALI....đ„ł... Just I was thinking it's been a couple of years since I stopped updating and now I realised I have missed Maneet a lot...and this is what makes me happy.. thinking about their new avatars and fantasising about them....so I'm going to start a new story as a part of Diwali celebrations... hope you all like this Diwali gift from me.....and once again wishing all Maneetians a lot of fun this Diwali and let this happiness last for the whole year fulfilling all your dreams, and hopefully this Maan and Geet too have a wonderful romantic journey this time...come and join their journey.....
Character sketches....
Maan Singh Khurana....NRI...a Canadian citizen...it's role reversal this time and hope it turns out to be fun....
Dev Khanna: the knight with the shinning armour who saves our damsel in distress..... he is the latest hit amongst the builders of Mumbai...
Geet Handa: our very own Geet from GHSP.... typical Punjabi innocent, beautiful, simple and dreamy small town girl....
That's it....all other characters will be revealed as and when they appear in the story just to keep things interesting...I think I already revealed a lot with the character swapping of Maan and Dev.....
Now let's straight away get into business...I mean let's start with the story....
It's Mumbai....
Maan is staying at the Taj...he is trying to kill his time rather wants to fast forward the clock to 10 pm which is his flight' s departure time when he would be free from all this unpleasant memories related to India....how he wished he had never returned to India....it's not that he forgets India and the Indian people ( specially that stupid person, the last person he wants to remember) as soon as he lands in Canada, but this trip has made him relive that fateful first ever summer that he spent in India....his life has changed from not so bad to the worst forever after that summer.....no matter how hard he tries to erase that from his memory and just get back his normal life as the carefree easy going MSK who never bothered about anything or anyone but himself....how easy it was to live life on your own terms without any unwanted baggages attached to everything you do....just live the moment without thinking about the consequences of your deeds....as a loner he was free from any kind of pressure from anyone for he always remained aloof staying away from the only relationship he had , his namesake father...there was no one to judge him and he was at peace..... though he might not have been happier than he was in India, still it was much better and easier with no complicated relationship to maintain....but happiness comes with a hefty price tag....he had to give away whatever he had, his peace of mind and his trouble free life.....but Maan is yet to realise that to get something you have to give something... everything has its own value....even if it's stupid human feelings....damn it...now Maan has become this emotional fool... what's wrong with the Indian mitti...on stepping his foot on this land of sentiments even a emotionless Maan Singh Khurana has become all senti......how nice it would have been had he not met his father Madan Khurana one last time on his death bed driven by those stupid emotions which always disappointed him....
Maan came back to India for the second time to attend his cousin Vicky's wedding...and also Dadi wanted to see him one last time for she thinks that her time has come to leave this earth...you know our drama queen Dadi.... only she can blackmail Maan....
Maan was so uncomfortable to be back at the Khurana Mansion in Delhi for a lot happened there which he wants to forget....but it is not that easy for him to escape from the memories of that unforgettable summer....those memories have been haunting him like a ghost all these days and coming here didn't help much....it's like refreshing those memories.....
Maan looks at his watch and it is just 11 am....has time frozen? or has his clock just stopped ticking?....he has got another 13 hours before he could board the plane and escape.... actually he had planned a tight schedule with no time to spare for those unwanted thoughts but instead of being at the wedding as per his plans here he is struggling with himself trying hard not to go back into the past....as the wedding scenario reminded him of someone atop his hate list Maan left earlier....alas! he has landed himself directly into the flames trying to escape from their heat....this lonely date he has with himself doesn't help at all to improve the situation....Maan has become so stupid that he believes that he can easily bury his memories in India itself and he can forget everything just like magic leaving everything back here....but atleast he wouldn't have to live in the fear of coming across that person responsible for all the mess surrounding his life....or maybe his heart yearns to get a glimpse of the ghost from his past...but his useless dimag is scaring him that it would be his worst nightmare if at all he gets to meet that person.....and he doesn't know how he would react if such a situation arises....will he turn mad and hurt the two of them more than what they are endearing already... what's he thinking? He is the one who had to suffer while the other one is happy...is that so? How would he know about that? He has already failed terribly trying to know that person better....how would he know if he doesn't meet?
Maan knows very well that his heart is aching to meet that person and is desperately confusing him so that he would take some step to find the person.....but he is not going to take that path again....he hates that emotional roller coaster....in the end all he is left with is the memories and never ending pain.....
Maan switches on the TV and tries to divert his mind....but the TV becomes a mere furniture that makes some noise for Maan has gone back to his past....
Maan being a single child was pampered so much by his mother Sheetal...but as they say everything that is too good is short lived, Maan lost his mother when he was a 10 year old.....his papa Madan was as usual busy with his business and Maan was left on his own....the only responsibility that Madan took care of is Maan's financial needs...he thought he took good care of his son... later Madan married someone from work, a Canadian women and Maan started hating his father for he forgot his mother so easily.....Maan then started to live with one of his friends and later got his own place.....he then slowly started earning and took care of his needs on his own....later he stopped bothering about his father and stopped interactions with him until one day he got a call from that other woman that Madan is terminally ill and he wants to meet Maan and talk with him before he dies....Maan didn't want to hear anything from him but he just wanted to go and ask him, how on earth he still remembers Maan?
That meeting turned out to be the turning point in Maan's life... Madan felt guilty for being so selfish and not taking care of Maan after Sheetal left....he realised his mistake and he doesn't want Maan to be left alone in this world for he has a big family back in India....Madan tells Maan about his own family, his mother Savitri Devi Khurana and his younger brother Mohan Khurana...Madan had never tried to contact them after he came to Canada with Sheetal.....they also didn't have the courage to contact him until his father Amarnath Khurana left....
Maan didn't want to revive that relationship which was never there for him when he was desperately in need of a family when Sheetal left him alone....but after Madan left, as per Madan's wish Maan had to convey the news of Madan's demise to his mother Savitri Devi..she deserves to know that her Son left this world or she'll be waiting forever for his return and she wouldn't even die in peace... Madan had already given her a lot of pain and he doesn't want to trouble her even after his death...but Madan just had their address and contact nos from 25 years back which were not valid now...Maan didn't even know they existed.... Madan just leaves an old picture of him with Savitri Devi Khurana.... something about his dadi pulled Maan like magic...you know blood is thicker than water...Maan set off to India to just meet her once....that's how he ended up finding a new family for himself but someone snatched the joy of his reunion with his family that he had to return to Canada leaving his new found family behind again....dadi is still mad at him but Maan can't help much...
Maan still remembers the day he landed in Delhi with the picture his father gave him as the sole family property that Maan would inherit as a Khurana clan....
Maan is in India....but he had little idea what fate had in store for him here...how would he know that there awaits a surprise new member to become a part of his life, however brief it would be yet leaving a mark forever, or to put it Maan's words that someone special who crashed into his life like a tsunami taking away whatever little happiness he ever had .....but as we know how big MSK'S ego is that he keeps telling himself that he is not affected by anyone and there is no one who could change him...he is still the same carefree MSK who never bothers about anything but himself...but what he fails to realise is that he has already shared a part of himself with that person...now that should definitely bother him, haina?
