She felt someone's presence beside her. On instinct she turned her head to look who was it? Her breathing hitched seeing him so close to her all of a sudden, unexpected. she did not even knew that he was present in the function.
He was looking at the front, she wondered if he realised that it was her beside him, so close to him. When did he came by the way? Did he just came
Or Was he present all thorough out?
Did he saw her too? She felt her heart beats going higher with the thought of him seeing her dancing a while ago! An instant blush crept on her cheeks with the thought and imagining his reaction on seeing her performance. With that, She immediately averted her gaze and tried to focus on the dance performance going on at the front.
Though she tried to be as much unaffected as possible but those nervously fiddling fingers of hers were her give away! Her breathing was way too faster than normal. She could feel a strange kind of restlessness in her self.
Her palms turned sweaty with the anticipation of the unknown.. But the major reason was, his being so close to her. And She could not even move away from there... It was as if he had bound her with invisible bounds.
She did not knew what to do? How to manage her senses, which were on extra alert having him so close. She could not concentrate on the performance. Her total attention was on him only.
What would happen now? Will he do something? And as if he had heard her, she felt her heart stopped!
He slowly, very slowly touched her left hand's fingers with his own... Then gradually slipped his fingers into hers, interlacing them together.
She was so stunned feeling his touched for the first time. She felt a shiver ran thorough her whole body. Heat imitating from the whole being, colouring her face and body with that pink tint. That heat caused, not only her palms but feet to turn sweaty too! And that tingling feeling was all over her being.
She gulped hard, swallowing that knot in her throat, half scared of someone finding them like that! But somewhere relieved for the darkness around them cause of those dim lights.
At first few seconds, she panicked with all kinds of thoughts, of right and wrongs, of decent-indecent ect.
But then she dared a glance at him... To find him already looking at her, waiting for her. That look in his eyes was her undoing!
She forgot everything else in that one look. Everything faded away, what remained was him and her... And their feelings for eachother.. Which they both knew were true and everlasting.
Chocolate brown one's gave that assurance to the Hazel one's which they sought for desperately. And in return she too secure her tight grip on his fingers, promising the rights he has silently asked for!!

And exactly a year & half later, he did claimed her publically and Officially.,. By making her Mrs. Geet Maan Singh Khurana aka.." Maan ki Geet" Forever!!
