Apologies for the delay, my word app wasn't working on my laptop for the last couple of days so couldn't just copy or paste the chapter.

Chapter 107

“Vikrant, Vikrant here. Here”

“Ma’am here”

Meera plastered a smile for the cameras as she stood beside her husband supporting him, it was an award function where Vikrant was nominated for. She wanted to stay out of the lime light but this was Vikrant’s first award show.

Everyone else had turned up to support him though Maan refused at first not wanting to bring Geet as she was in her 7th month now, her bump was prominent and there were going to be rumours. Geet agreed at first with Maan however her pregnancy was going to come out sooner or later and they’d all know when Maan or Geet will be spotted with their baby. She couldn’t miss Vikrant’s first award show, she wanted to be there for her brother in law and friend just like he’d been there for her from the beginning. It was because of Vikrant whom she’d gotten such great friends.

Had it not been for him having these two girls as his friends then she’d have never met Amelia or Meera. He’d been a great support when she was in college, he’d shown her around Delhi, because of him she’d gained confidence to make new friends.

Not everyone realises how much Vikrant had done for her but she does, and she was going to be there to support him even if meant facing the people she hated.

Maan protectively had his arm around his wife’s waist as they stood beside Vikrant, he tried to ignore the flashes of cameras but it was a part of Vikrant’s world now so he had to be supportive of his little brother.

Maan groaned when he noticed the anchor walking towards them smiling brightly like some idiot. “Why did I come here again?” he whispered.

“Because you love Vikrant and want to support him” Geet smiled turning to him.

“Vikrant, my man. How are you?”

“Hey Yash!” Vikrant back slapped Yash and shook his head. “I’m good”

“How does it feel to be here?” Yash asked holding the microphone out to Vikrant.

“I’m excited, nervous bhi hoon but that’s to be expected” Vikrant chuckled.

“Your first show has won the hearts of many and you’ve been nominated in 3 categories. Do you think you’d win some today?”

“I don’t know, I’m just very happy that I have the love of all the fans and my family”

“Speaking of family, are you going to introduce them?” Yash chuckled.

“Yeah, sure” Vikrant smiled. “This is my dadima, she’s the woman behind my success. Had it not been for my dadima, I wouldn’t be here” he wrapped his arm around dadima.

“Dadima, how proud are you of Vikrant?” Yash asked.

“Vikrant knows how proud I am, they don’t need words” dadima responded with a small smile. She wasn’t going to give anyone anything for show, her grandson knows how proud she is, she doesn’t need to showcase it to the world.

“Nice, nice” Yash nodded and looked at Vikrant expectantly.

“This is my wife Meera, my older brother – Maan bhai and this is my bhabhi Geet” he introduced briefly not wanting to prolong this out, he knew Geet shouldn’t be standing for too long and they’d been here for quite a while now with him trying to answer questions tossed towards him by reporters and now anchors.

“And I can see there’s going to be a little addition” Yash chirped teasingly.

“Can I throw my purse at his head?” Geet leaned in closer to Maan.

“After I strangle his throat” Maan murmured.

Vikrant smiled. “Anyways Yash, I’ll catch you later” he shook his hand and gestured to the others to continue ahead.

It’s confirmed! Happy news

It’s happy news all round for the Khurana family.

Vikrant Khurana who’d risen as a star in the past months and marked his name in the top celebrities in the tv industry has won 2 awards out of the 3 categories he was chosen for.

Also all of our speculations were confirmed in the award show when the Khurana clan attended in support of Vikrant.

Maan Khurana is soon to be a daddy! Yes ladies you heard it correct.

His beautiful wife dressed in a long chiffon grey gown attended and she looked stunning standing beside her husband, hand in hand. Fans have already unleashed their excitement and disappointment on their social media accounts.

MSK’s wife is pretty but I just can’t see them together. They’re both very different from what we’ve learned. She’s from a small village and he’s rich. Doesn’t ring right with me. Personally I feel she married him for money, no offense :P

Geet rolled her eyes scanning the newspaper, she’d slowly come to adjust to the newspaper printing rubbish. She wasn’t happy but there was only so much she could do.

If she were to speak out, she’d be judged and even if she didn’t speak she’s already being judged. It was better to keep quiet and ignore the existence. It was easy now that she is expecting and busy with the arrival of their baby.

There was only a few weeks left, the thought made her shudder from nervousness and tingle from excitement.

Geet had occupied herself with making plans for career, she’d started out with making calls to various institutes to help her with her cooking and she’d been called out for a few interviews. Three of the institutes accepted her into their courses and are waiting on her response now.

Jennifer and Vikrant ka chakkar?

Vikrant and Jennifer were spotted coming out of Palmer jewellers laughing and sharing a joke between each other. Is there something brewing between these onscreen love birds?

“Vikrant and Jennifer are spending quite a lot of time together” a source confirms who did not wish to be named. “At first them getting to know each other was for the benefit of the show was great but this affair might be problematic if there is any truth to it”

Per our sources, Vikrant and Jennifer were seen eating dinner at Heera Paradise Restaurant and some say they were seen holding hands.

Vikrant though may be one of the hottest men our tv industry, he certainly isn’t single. He married his long time girlfriend Meera just over 7 months ago, they couple seemed in love and very happy.

Maan made the most of his free time and spent it with his family and Geet. Every evening he joined everyone downstairs after dinner as they watched tv and discussed their baby’s future.

Everyone was still undecided on the name, it was the basis of daily arguments between one another. One day dadima wouldn’t like a name, on other days Vikrant and Meera object, on another Geet would refuse to keep the name and so on.

Over the last few weeks Maan had been mindful joining his brothers for their fortnightly night away from the mansion as Geet neared her due date, though Geet continued insisting he continue the ‘boys night out’ tradition.

The days he’d gone out, she’d have her friends over and they’d keep her company for the entire evening until he returned.

“I think I’m loving Neil quite a lot” Geet told Maan as they finished watching White Collar. “Despite being a conman, he’s very loyal and loves the people who matter to him the most”

“And you do realise it’s fiction?” Maan laughed.

“Aap na…” Geet huffed crossing her arms. “You always…” she gasped placing her hand on her bump. “Peanut, you kicking mama?” she pouted.

“Peanut only kicks when they sense mama is about to argue” Maan winked.

“I’m going to go to my mama’s house” Geet frowned.

“Oh really? What happened the other week when you went over to stay?” he arched his brows. Geet scowled as he continued to smirk, he was reminding her of the time she’d been unable to sleep at her mother’s place and he had to go pick her up as it was very late and being heavily pregnant she avoided driving her car.

“Want to watch anything?” Maan asked grabbing the remote.

“No, I’m tired” she yawned stretching out onto their bed and lied down.

Maan switched off the tv and lay down on his back pulling his wife closer to him and they both drifted off to sleep.

“Maan” Geet nudged grasping her stomach. “Maan”

“Yeah” Maan blinked switching on their nightlamp and looked at Geet. She held onto her bump breathing heavily. “Geet are you…”

She nodded hurriedly. “It’s time” she whimpered.

“Okay, okay….” He climbed down their bed and glanced around for their hospital bag he’d gotten ready for when they leave. Geet slipped into her shoes continuing to breathe as she was told by the midwife, Maan grabbed Geet’s coat and helped her into it.

“How are you feeling?” he slipped his arm around her waist leading her out of their bedroom.

“It’s hurting only a little” she murmured, Maan pressed a kiss to her temple reassuring her with sweet words and walked her down towards their car.

He called out for dadima who’d walked out of her room concerned. “Dadima, I’m going to the hospital with Geet, I’ll call you soon and keep you updated”
“Teek hai bete” dadima agreed.

Maan arrived at the hospital within 15 minutes, Geet was taken towards the delivery room instantly, the midwife had her settled and set up properly on the wires.

It was another 3 hours into labour when the doctor finally announced Geet was ready to push, Maan held onto her hand throughout softly murmuring words of encouragement and support as his midwife explained. Seeing Geet in agony pained him, he hadn’t expected this. They’d prepared for this mentally but being here in this situation he realised they weren’t as ready as they’d prepared.

“I… can’t” Geet cried out shaking her head, tears slipped down from the corner of her eyes.

“Mrs Khurana, you have to push. It’s only two more big pushes and baby will be out” the midwife encouraged. “Your baby is nearly here” she called out noting the patch of hair.

Geet groaned tilting her head towards Maan crying out as she forced herself to push, she screamed in pain as she gave one final push and slumped back onto the bed.

Their attention drew to their baby when they didn’t hear a baby’s cries, Geet looked at Maan nervously swallowing thickly and turned towards the doctor and midwife as they started talking amongst each other and moving the baby away to another operating table.

“What’s going on?” Maan asked. “Doctor”

“What’s…” Geet blinked trying very hard to keep her eyes open. “Maan…” she whimpered as she slowly lost consciousness.

“Geet…” Maan tightened his fingers around her face and looked over towards the doctors and nurses who were hovering over their child.
