SECOND SHOT

One week passed like a blur...and the day arrived when Geet had to join her new company...
"Oye moti uth" Maan shook her while dressing up for work. Getting no response he did what he has been doing since childhood.
"Aah..." Geet made a bad face and opened her eyes.
"Haahaha..Tu uth hi nahi rahi thi( you were not waking up)" Maan threw the dirty socks at Geet and ran out of the room not wanting to be the victim of her prakop.
Maan had a bad habit of not changing his socks for days...and when he couldn't finally stand the smell...he changed but he made sure Geet gets to experience the great aroma coming from his socks...and what followed later was even more fun.

Geet took a shower and got ready in a simple Kurti and jeans.
"Mamma sorry late ho gaya" Geet apologised and grabbed a seat next to Maan.
"Arre ho jata hai...I understand. ..newly weds ho toh" Rashmi teased bringing a shade of red in Maan's cheeks " Kya mamma aap bhi?"
"Sahi toh keh rahin hain...newly weds hain yaar( mamma is right...we are newly weds toh its ok) Geet said munching on her toast ...she apparently failed to understand the hidden teasing.
and here the plan backfired making Rashmi short of words at her bahu's boldness" Ah...jaldi karo der ho jayegi"

"Mamma meant to say we were late because we were busy making love at night" Maan finally enlightened Geet on their way to office.
"Wohoo..mamma is romantic nai" an unexpected reply...made Maan press his foot down sharply on the brake pedal.
"Tujhe zara bhi sharam nahi aati"
"Mamma papa ne sharam dikhayi hoti toh..tu paida nahi hota ( if mamma papa had been shy you wouldn't have been born then) " Geet snapped back .
"Tu ek hi piece hai beta ( you r only one piece) " Maan joined his hands infront of her making Geet smile " Jeeta reh".

"Geet I will pick up in the evening...no need to go on your own" Maan had always been caring towards Geet..so this was not new for her.
She smiled and kissed his cheek .

"Introduce yourselves one by one"

"Hello...I am Geet Khurana" Geet was the first one to speak...she was so excited to use the "Khurana" surnane as she has always been fascinated by Maan's surname...it seemed royal to her and it might be one of the reasons she married Maan so gladly .

"Oye khana khaya tune (Did u have your lunch)" Geet asked Maan knowing how he forgets everything once he busies himself in work.
"Haan...just had my lunch...tune kha liya"
"Tu bhukkad se baat kar raha hai bhul gaya ( did u forget u r talking to a glutton. ...food is the last thing I will ever forget" Geet boasted about her eating skills with pride making Maan smile on the other end.

In the evening Maan picked Geet from her office.
"Huh" Geet landed herself on the sofa as soon as she entered the house.
"Aa gaye tum dono...Geet how was your first day beta" Rashmi smiled and settled next to her. Geet clung to her "good ma".
"Ok go and freshen up"

"You know ..." Geet started reciting her office tales to Maan once they were in bed after dinner. Maan was not showing much interest.
"You know Maan there is a guy named Vinay in our office...he is so handsome but he is our senior"
and suddenly Maan's interest level which was at minimum went to maximum.
"Is he guiding you all?" he asked with a tone which was hard to explain.
"Nai...he is guiding the other group" Geet pouted but that line gave an unknown relief to the man sitting beside her.

It has been two months since Geet joined the company. In these two months nothing changed except the loving and passionate glances which Maan had perpetually started using for Geet.
It was Raksha Bandhan and so Maan's cousins had come over. After all the rituals...Maan - Geet were inside the bedroom where Geet seemed a little upset for not having any brother.
"Geet..." Maan called lovingly taking her hand in his " Mai tujhe se kuch puchunga...aur tu sach bolegi...( I want to ask you something and promise me you won't lie) "
Seensing seriousness in Maan's voice Geet looked up " kya hua"
"Tune kabhi socha tha ki tujhe itna handsome pati milega ( Did you ever think that you would get such a handsome husband)" keeping the same seriousness he asked
"Maan main" but then the words got processed and
"Haaahahhh" Maan fell down on the bed laughing which only irritated Geet. She jumped and sat on his stomach tickling the hell out of him " Has aur has"
Geet knew Maan's weakness.
But the timing was not perfect as Maan's cousins made an entry and soon covered their eyes saying " Humne kuch nahi dekha( we didn't see anything)"

Geet turned back and said " Aisa kaise ..kuch toh dekha hoga ( how can it be possible. .you must have seen something)"
Maan at once sat on the bed to control the situation " Girls what gifts do you want...come on make a list"
and the gifts showed their magic and the little ones rushed to grab pen and paper.

After one week..

"Geet jaldi kar" Maan said wearing his shoes.
"Oh I forgot ...Vinay sir had to discuss one project...so Nisha and I will be going with him in the office car" Geet explained with a smile but it didn't get reciprocated.
He stared at her blankly and then
"I won't be able to pick you up in the evening"
"You r telling me now"
"I forgot ..just the way you forgot to tell me you changed your driver" an unexpected answer came from Maan which alarmed Geet.
"What happened...why are you reacting like this" she tried to touch his shoulders but he warded them off and went out of the room shutting the door with a loud noise.
Geet hurried to the dining table " Mamma Maan"
"He was in a hurry he said he will have something in the canteen" Rashmi said whlir setting the table.
Throught out the day she kept calling Maan but to no avail.
On the other hand...
Maan was siiting resting his head backwards with closed eyes.
He was in such a good mood but the name VINAY spoiled it all...it was so frustrating when Geet used to sing his praises...and now that Vinay replaced him even if it was for a day..he couldn't take it.
He has started growing more possessive of Geet.
"But I guess I overreacted " Maan thought and picked up his cell to call Geet...and what he saw made him smile ..25 missed calls from Geet...
his Geet can't see him upset.
"Sorry..I over reacted" Maan apologised at once when the call was picked but the voice from the other side side didn't please him much.
"May I know what your name is" Maan politely asked
"Ahh Mr. Vinay ...I will call Geet later" saying this he hung down with an angry face.

At Geet's office

"Mrs Khurana you left you cell on my desk...someone named Maan called" Vinay said passing the cell.
"I am gone"
"If I am not wrong he is your husband right...you have mentioned his name before also."
"Yes sir ...thank you so much"

"Maan pick up the call" Geet was walking to and fro in her cabin.
"Husband ki tadap" one of Geet's friends commented pointing towards the wallpaper of Geet's cell...where Maan was hugging Geet from behind.

In the evening Geet was coming out of the office with her colleague friends when she saw Maan standing resting his back on the car.
Geet ran towards him.
"Ahan dekho toh kaun aaya hai " Geet's friend teased ...and to avoid the teasing...Geet answered "My best friend".
Maan tried to smile but the smile was not reaching his eyes.
"Along with being your best friend I am your husband too..in case you forgot" Maan taunted as soon as Geet settled beside him .
"Maan"
"We will talk at home" a crisp answer from Maan and then silence followed.

They had their dinner in silence. Rashmi and Amit had gone out to attend a reception.

"Kya hua tujhe" Geet held Maan's hand ..
"You want a divorce" Maan asked out of the blue.
"Are you mad?" Geet yelled at him
"It's not your mistake...I only kinda forced you in this marriage. ...I will be okay" Maan said turning around.
It all started from the afternoon call when he called Geet and Vinay picked it and when he was about to end "Bechari Geet" was the comment he heard from the back...it was some friend of Geet whom Geet told about the morning fight and Maan's gussa. It was all in good light but the jealousy had spread to his brain by then.
Moreover she didn't even bother to introduce him as her husband infront of her friends.

" Ek Vinay naam se itni chidh" Geet finally spoke "I know you in and out Bandar...you are jealous"
"There is nothing like that" Maan's eyes were not able to meet hers.
Geet cupped his face " look at me ...my bandar is the most important person in my life...u r comparing urself with that Vinay...he is just my senior "
She wiped his tears which had formed. ..."but he is handsome " she giggled.
Maan finally smiled and hugged her tight " I am sorry...so sorry"
"Sorry ka jap band kar...ja noodles bana kar le aa...I am famished...in tension I didn't have dinner properly" yawning like a lazy cat she lied on the bed.

After sometime
two hot bowls of maggie and Geet's favourite ice cream was gracing the table.
After completing hers she attacked on Maan's and lastly snatched it from him.
And now they were in balcony savouring their ice cream.
Due to cold Geet's lips had turned more pink ...
Maan's eyes accidentally fell on her lips and his breath hitched. He was unable to move his gaze away. Slowly he started coming closer and licked her lips...seeing no opposition he kept her lips on his kissing her softly..but it started turning passionate when Geet started responding.
Maan bit her lip and she opened her mouth..getting the entrance he explored all the corners of her mouth earning a moan.
"I love you motu" Maan whispered in ear coming out of the kiss.

"Huh" Geet came out of the moment and her eyes widened.
"We kissed ewww" she started making faces.
"So what's wrong ...we are husband wife...we can" Maan said but soon his facial expressions changed " You don't love me ...I get it"
"Tera sar phod dungi agar apni wahiyat assumptions nahi band ki toh( I will hit you if you don't stop making assumptions)" Geet threatened showing him the fist.
"It means you love me" Maan asked naughtily...and the eighth wonder happened ..Geet Khurana's cheeks turned red...she was blushing. ..
"I love you...and I guess I have always loved you" Geet finally confessed
"You are right..it's just that we realized it late" Maan pulled her closer.
"Remember one month ago ...you stayed awake for two days just for me because I was not feeling well ...and waha se dheere dheere I started realizing that we r meant to be" Geet poured her heart out earning a smile from her husband.
"Then why you said ewww" Maan hadn't forgotten the Ewww.
"When I see those things on tv I feel ewww..." Geet made a face
"Tonight I will show you so many ewww things that you will forget the count" the aroused husband whispered huskily.
"Tu kya karne wala hai"
Maan at once picked her up in his arms and entered the bedroom closing the door.
"You r free to scream eww as much as you can ...no one is home.." saying this Maan pulled out his t shirt from his neck.
He fell down on the bed taking Geet with him.

After some hours

Geet was caressing was Maan's hair ...he was lying on her with his head on her bossoms.
"What if I get pregnant" Geet at once jumped saying this aloud.
"Arre kuch nahi hoga I will get you a pill...don't worry" Maan pulled her closer.
"Bandar I will sue you if I get pregnant. ..." Geet and her threats.
"Go ahead sweety...just curious to know the punishment they will reward me with" Maan smirked and bit her neck.
"Bas kar rakshas" Geet pushed him and was ready to get down when the reality struck her she was naked.
She immediately landed again on the bed.
"Pass my clothes " she ordered a smiling Maan who had different thoughts in mind.
He picked her up and walked into the washroom. He dropped his sheet and was standing stark naked.
"Chhi bandar...wear something. ...bachao "Geet started screaming. " No body will come to save you " Saying this he started untying her sheet.
Maan forcefully pulled her hands and the sheet fell down...leaving her naked.
After sometime Geet was sitting on Maan's lap in the bath tub. Maan's hands were squeezing her breasts and Geet was just resting closing her eyes.
"Did the pain go away" he kissed her earlobe. He had mixed painkilker in the water .
"Hmmm...continue na" Geet brought his hand to her breasts . She was loving the massage for a change.

They are such a unique couple
Feeling jealous yet not understanding it
