Life seemed more easy for Geet when she let go of Dev or rather she let herself free from the unwanted bond , she felt as if an unseen burden was removed from her shoulder , she felt more free and more relax nowdays...
She conveged her thoughts to the ladies of house, Dadima welcomed her decision wholeheartedly , while Maya got offeneded to hear her decision but later knowing the circumstances and everything she too let it go as at the end of the day , a mother just wants her son's happiness, and knowing her son's exceptations and his choice she too accepted it all...
Dadima asked Geet not to disclose this matter to her Darji now as she wanted to disclose it herself after their exams peacefully as disclosing it to her darji will create unwanted stress now which might effect their exams as it's around the corner to which Geet agreed...
With all this , one more thing changed for Geet, she don't know why but she felt an unusual pull towards Maan, the respect which she held for him grew more but along with that she developed an affection towards him which was growing more and more with each passing day, her day used to start with him and used to end with him too, the late night studies with him was the best part of her whole day, sleeps were far away from her eyes nowdays as whenever she closes her eyes his face appears infront of her, she gets up more early now just get his glimpse before he leaves for office, she secretly drools over him when he practice tai chi..., his occasional touches makes the butterflies in her stomach flutter, everything around him was dreamy for her nowdays..it was not that Maan never caught her lost he did but then she hurridely leaves from there making him wonder what's wrong with her...
With all these symptoms Geet knew that she is falling for Maan, she wanted to stop her heart but it was not in her control now..., defeated by her heart she gave into it's demand and started loving him from far because she still believed that may her Di never loved him but Maan still loved her di and it was not his fault too, it was her fault to fall for him, fall for her Di's fiance , she had seen him talking to Di's potrait lot of time, she was scared to confess her feelings to him, what if after knowing her inner thoughts he might send her away from him or stop talking to her..the friendship which they share might end too then what will she do, the small luxuries of togetherness which she enjoy now will be snatched from her...that's why she decided not to confess on the risk of lossing everything, she is happy with these small small happiness only...
Days passed like this only, Maaneet enjoyed their togetherness without confessing their feelings, Geet's exams got over and Darji came over to take her away for her summer vacations when Dadima exploded the bomb of the broken alliance to him , he was highly angry with Khurana's attitude, he accused them for making his daughter dream and breaking it, etc, etc, Geet and everyone tried to make him understand but he was not in that state to understand at that moment, angrily he asked Geet to pack her stuff and come long with him..
Geet- but Darji...
Darji- Geet go..am waiting!, scared she left..
Dadima- aap please samjhiye ki..
Darji- jo samjhana tha samjha liye...woh toh babaji ka sukr hai ki sab sahi time pe samneye aagaya..warna Geet ki toh zindagi toh barbaad ho jaati...aap logo ne Geet ke liye jo bhi kiya unsab ke liye sukhriya..sukhriya ki aap logone usske faisle mei usska saath diya..lekin ab Geet ki puri jimedari meri hai!
Dadima- aise mat kehiye Geet humari bhi beti jaisi hi hai...hum usske saath bura kaise hone dete.., Darji didn't say anything as he was still angry on them, all these years he thought that one day Geet will settle here only, he always fed Geet with her coming future and thought her values to stand up to their exceptations but now.., if it pained him this much then for Geet it must be more, He saw Geet coming downstairs with her luggage, looking at her he felt proud, that even after bearing all this she is standing strong infront of him..., he promised himself now to never force her in anything, now everything will happen according to her will, already at this small age she beared so much because of her elder's now not any more...
Darji- chale Geet?
Geet- ji..., one by one she took Raj , Maya and then Dadima's blessings..
Dadima- after one month you will be back na Geet??, but before Geet could answer Darji said..
Darji- we will see to it..chalo Geet!, saying so he moved forward , not having another option Geet has to follow him, turning back she hoped to get Maan's glimpse one last time but he didn't come there to bid her bye..with heavy heart she moved forward..., turning back she once again looked at grand KM behind, she knew now her Darji will not allow her to come back here , he might enroll her in hostel but will not allow her here...closing her eyes she collected all her memories here but one face didn't left her even after opening her eyes and it was of Maan.., she felt an uneasiness inside her , she felt weak,her steps halted, her grip on her bag's handle tightened to hold herself when suddendly his voice echoed in her mind..
Maan- Do as your heart says Geet..., his words gave her strength and she knew what she wants to do now..
Finding her behind , all looked at her..
Darji- Geet..kya hua??
Geet- woh..i missed something..., saying so she ran back in KM..
Dadima- looks like she forget something inside..
Climbing stairs she reached at the entrance of study room and saw him, he was there only standing by the window looking outside...
Geet(with heavy breaths)- you can see me go but can't come there to bid me bye..., her sudden appearence surprised him, turning back he looked at her..,
Maan- Geet..her eyes filled with tears as she heard him taking her name, taking quick steps she reached him...none broke the eye contact
Geet- you are bad..., saying so she tiptoed to reach upto his level and kissed him, it was not some intense passionate kiss , it was just a brief peck on his lips to convey her feelings to him, but her innocent confession made him hell shocked, he didn't even registered what happened in that moment.., separating both looked in each other's eyes..
Maan- Geet ye.., but she cut him in between..
Geet- i'am sorry but..i..i love you...i love you alot.., Maan was so shocked that he didn't find any words to utter.., his silence pushed to Geet to clarify
Geet- i know you must be wondering how stupid i am ,etc etc things but you said na..do what your heart says then this is what my heart says...i love you..., i know now you hate me and don't want to talk to me too ..but it's okay, you don't have reciprocate my feelings, i know you still love di and you can't give her place to someone else but i don't want her place..i just..i.., her voice choked as she find it difficult to put her feelings in words...
Maan- Geet..
Geet- i genuinely tried not to love you but..i
Maan- Geet i..
Geet- now please don't lecture me on how i can love you even knowing that you don't love me..but what can i do..this stupid heart never listens to me in your case..ab galti hogi toh kya karu.. (innocently she said, Maan was so amused by her antics, her confession too seems so easy and lively to him, finding him silent she continued), mm..bas itna hi kehna tha..i know you will never love me but always remember that there is a girl somewhere who loves you alot...(she smiled at him and turned to leave) bye..., but as she took a step she heard him say...
Maan- meri bi sun lo ab..., confused Geet turned back to look at him but found him kneeling down on his kness in front of her, her heart skip a beat at that moment..
Maan- i love you too...will be you mine???,(shocked Geet for looked at him without any words to which Maan teased her..), good at least i am successfull in making you speechless ..should i take your silence as Yes??, to which Geet nodded with teary eyes, Maan got up and hugged her
Maan- thank u for Geet thank u so much.., he thanked her for everything for coming in his life, for confessing, everything because if she didn't then he would never be able to confess his feelings to her...
Geet- you love me but how..?i mean..
Maan- why can't i?? i too have a heart, and it beats for you so what can i do..like you i'am helpless too!
Geet- but..you love di..i mean..she hesistated , to which Maan just smiled , he knew one day he will open these pages of his life to Geet too but not today, as after ages he was feeling at peace to have Geet in his arms , he don't want to spoil it with his past memories right now..
Maan- you trust me??
Geet- offcourse..
Maan- then wait for the right time..i will tell you everything but right now let me enjoy this moment..., saying so he hugged her more tightly, she too willingly went in his arms surrending her to him , both finally found their solace in their Rehnuma's arms..
Both were Rehnuma to each other as one showed the path to live a happy life even after bearing the hardships of life as hardships were part and parcel of life, they will come and go , you can't sit and cry about it whole your life rather you should stand and face them with a smile on your face while other showed the path to live life on own terms, world is full of million and billions of people with their own thoughts and beliefs, you can't lead your life according to them , you have to live on our own terms because that will ultimately lead you to a life which you wanted , which will give you happiness, nothing will be forced in that !
