My Dear Friends

Her tears , her breaking self , anger , indifference , withdrawal wr d other parts of her identity apart from her academic records which he had ,, during that yr he faced her few times nd he clearly remembered that every time she made him to believe that she didn't want to marry him, she nd her family cdn't deny DM , so agreed , but he never gave any heed over her words ,, in his anger he became deaf nd blind , even accused DM too for trapping him ,, he didn't believe her nd DM , didn't trust them nd withdrawal himself ,, he did d same which Geet was doing nd that thing was troubling nd hurting him ,, now he realized d impact of his rude behavior .

Maan was in his study ,, he had changed his wet clothes but those moments wr still roaming in his mind ,, he was not getting how to make Geet to talk with him ,, sitting like this was not d solution ( he sneezed few more times ) .

Maan mumbled : lo aur bheego barish mei ( he sneezed again, God bless me )

He went out to get hot, black pepper nd tulsi tea for him ,, he sneezed few more times nd DM heard nd V too ,, DM got alert nd sent V to call Maan ,, V saw him in kitchen making tea for him .

V: bro , why u r sneezing ?

Maan : wo , wo bcoz of dirt storm I got allergy .

V: Oh , DM is calling u .

Maan : hhmm ,, I know why , her list of instructions.

V: bcoz she knew u well.

Maan : lets go .

They joined DM ,, Maan sneezed again ,, DM looked at him worried .

DM: how u get allergy beta ? V nakul ko bolo tulsi, ginger aur kali mirch ki Chai bana de .

Maan : DM relax , I made it already . ( now her nose started running ) .

DM : Maan beta ,go nd take rest , I m coming to give u olive oil massage.

Maan : DM , plzz u r not well , u need rest more than me ,, i'll take care , V ,plzz, u stay with DM , nd don't let her move .

V: don't worry about DM bro. I m very much here .

DM: Maan , I knew about ur allergy ,, u won't take meds nd only warm oil massage cn help u , nd rub some Vicks too beta.

Maan sneezed again : DM , i'll do that , plzz ,u calm down .

A too joined them nd gave a pity look to Maan seeing his condition .

A: Bro, plzz take rest .

Maan hummed nd retired to his room ,, he knew it was going tough with this allergy,, he settled in his bed nd started sipping that tasteless tea ,, he didn't like tea but in that condition he had to , ginger nd tulsi cdn't be add in coffee.

In OH Geet spent a long time brooding over her condition nd recalled those moments which she spent with maan lil before , she was shocked nd cursing herself for breaking down like that infront of Maan ,, why she hugged him like that ? Why he was there nd knew that she was crying ? Why he hugged her back that way ? Why his behavior was changing ?

Every thought was resting over him nd that thing annoyed her again ,, she chided herself for her helplessness , changed her wet clothes ,, her head was spinning coz of crying ,, she ate a slice of cake , swallowed a tab for headache nd then made a strong tea for her ,,she remembered that she forgot her phone at terrace ,, she went to bring that back nd memories again struck her ,, her body shivered recalling how they wr hugging each other ?

Geet was feeling better now nd called DM ,, she asked about her health nd req her to take complete rest ,, DM insisted her to join her if she cd nd to keep her heart she assured that she wd be there before dinner ,, Geet checked d time nd thought to cook something for DM ,, that cd divert her mind too .

She had ingredient so thought to make Kesar Kheer in that rainy season ,, DM too cd eat that if she wd use sugar free ,, geet opened a pack of tetra pack milk nd kept that to boil ,, wash rice nd add in milk then let that cook in low flame ,, again became free so called Nakul nd asked what he was making for dinner ,, Nakul gave details of everyone's choices ,, geet twisted her lips nd made face .. thai food . she dropped her idea nd concentrated her mind at Kheer ,, it took near an hr ,, she brought that Kheer in KM nd met with DM ,, there was time for their dinner ,,DM looked at Geet's lil red nd puffed eyes nd got worried .

DM: Geet what happen to u , why ur eyes r red nd puffed ( she thought that Geet had cried )

Geet startled but composed herself , she cdn't show her weakness infront of them ,, one was enough .

Geet : wo DM it's bcoz of aandhi ,, dirt went in my eyes .

V: u too ?

Geet : means ?

DM : Maan ko bhi allergy ho gai hei dirt se .

Geet recalled those moments : Oh .

DM : why wr u out in that weather ?

Geet : wo I was at terrace , nd that started .

DM: use some eye drop beta ,, is it hurting ?

Geet: not now , I washed with cold water , I don't have any eye drop DM.

DM : I have but u cn't use that ,, V call d Dr nd asked ,then go nd bring that from chemist shop.

Geet : DM , plzz don't panic like that , it'll be fine soon .

DM: why won't ,, Maan is also sneezing like hell ,, he cn't even take meds ,nd I cn't give him massage ,, he'll brust out like a bomb if I'll go there with oil.

Geet gave a sheepish smile to her : send ginger nd tulsi tea , it'll help or some hot tomato soup with bleck pepper .

DM : he had tea , but he didn't like tea too ,, hmm soup cn work ,, V , tell nakul to make some soup for Maan .

Geet : I m going in kitchen DM nd will make that , u don't stress urself like this .

DM : I know his condition Beta , that's why I m worried .

V: DM , bas , aapka BP fir se badh jana hei , bro is not a kid .

DM gave a sad look to V nd then to Geet ,, this was d heart of a mother nd a grand mother ,, seeing her child unwell how cd she sit peacefully ? Geet remembered her MOM nd her care , her nonstop instructions nd worries ,, she gave a sad smile .

Geet: DM , u cn tell me, i'll do that , but plzz u don't stress urself , V is right here ,, we r much worried for u.

DM: plzz , give him some soup nd reminded him to apply Vicks ,, to avoid my call he put his phone on silent.

Geet noded nd went in kitchen ,, God she had to face him again nd don't know how he wd react ? nd not bcoz of dirt but he caught cold ,, she thought to make a Kadha for him after dinner ,, nakul nd satish wr busy so Geet made tomato soup nd add cinnamon nd black ppr , she took that nd went in his room ,, she was at his bedroom door after a yr ,, took a long breath nd knocked ,, after getting his reply she entered remembering her babaji ,, slowly went near his bed where he was sniffing covering him with duet .

Seeing Geet there Maan's eyes widened with shock nd sat in his bed with a jerk ( still sniffing )

Maan : u ... .

Geet chewed her lower lip nervously nd gulped : wo , DM send soup for u , she is very worried for u , have it , it'll help u in cold ,, aamm , haan , she said to apply vicks too .

Geet forwarded d tray to him ,, Maan sat properly taking rest against bed rest .

Maan , why u bother urself , there r servants .

Geet handed him napkin which he spread nd then took tray , Geet looked at his face ,, eyes wr heavy nd nose was red ,, he was sniffing nd cleaning his nose with tissue .

Maan too raised his eyes nd his eyes met with her red nd puffed eyes ,, he remembered those painful moments .

Maan : r u OK ? ur eyes r red .

Geet averted her eyes nd hummed ,, seeing his condition she dared to ask .

Geet : why u went there in rain when u r allergic ?

Maan ( sniffed ): why u came in KM ?

Geet : bcoz of DM.

She turned to go but Maan leaned nd held her wrist ,, that hold startled Geet nd she looked at him with open mouth .

Maan kept d tray aside nd got up from bed ,, he held her from shoulders .

Maan : Geet ,I want to talk u , u have to listen me .

Geet tried to removed his hands but he tightened his grip ,, she looked at him .

Geet : chodo mujhe , jane do,, nothing is there to talk .

Maan : but I have .

Geet annoyed : u cn't force me like this .

Maan : u left no option ,, ur anger is right at ur place , but mujhe sun to lo .

Geet looked at him annoyed : mujhe kuch nahi sunna hei ,, I m helpless bcoz of DM that's why I m bearing this otherwise ...

Maan shook him lil : otherwise kya ? jana hei , jao , chalo mai chod kar aata hu tumhe abhi ,, he sniffed , held her hand nd started moving out .

Get pulled back her hand ,, she feared for DM ,, this man was impossible .

Geet : u don't have to bother , i'll go myself , don't create drama , cn't u think about ur DM who was so worried for u in that condition too ,, why do want to hurt her all d time ,, one side shows that it was only u who cares for her but what is all this ? ur these dramas give her happiness ?

Maan : it's u who is provoking me to behave like that , cn't u listen me peacefully ?

Geet : I said , u cn't comple me .

Maan huffed nd sneezed,, geet looked at him nd turned to move again but he stopped her again.

Maan : tum iss room se meri baat sunkar hi jaogi Geet .

Geet : ye kya jidd hei , I m not ur slave .

Maan : to fir kya ho , hmmm?

Geet : what ??

Maan : tum meri kya ho, Ku tum yahan ho , mere samne with that hot soup?

She snapped his hand nd rushed outside , maan held her hand nd pinned with wall ,, closed d door with his leg ,, Geet looked at him shocked ,, she moved but he blocked her way .

Geet shocked : what r u doing , r u mad ?

Maan : no sick .

Geet annoyed : yeah , mentally sick .

Maan smirked : nd u know mentally sick kuch bhi kar sakta hei .

Geet huffed: why r u forcing me like this ?

Maan : just listen to me once .

Geet : u r not well , we cn talk later .

Maan : tum bhi to theek nahi ho .

Geet confused : mujhe kya hua hei ?

Maan : u r in pain , hurt , bcoz of me .

Geet's expressions changed at once nd she turned her face .

Maan : Geet , I m sorry , I judged u wrong ,, I was angry nd felt cheated ,, I m accepting that in my anger I behaved rudly ,, I m sorry for that .

Geet : ho gaya ?

Maan : nahi ,, Geet how cn u call me self centered nd hollow person ? everybody has dreams , planned for their life , won't u nd ur family dream nd think for u ? bolo Geet , tum apne liye kuch nahi sochti , plan karti ?

Geet : karti hu , but I never blamed nd accused others without any fault , u had crossed ur limits .

Maan : I m very sorry for that , I was angry.

Geet : mr Khurana I won't accept ur sorry .

Geet : hum dinner ke baad tumhari Bhagwat sune , chalega ? right now let me go .

Maan smiled : yeah , dodega , but don't try to play smart , mai OH aa jaunga .

Geet : no need ,, keep ur virus here ,, eeeww , I cn get infection too .

She opened d door to go ,, Maan smiled at her antics .

Maan : it happened all bcoz of u ?

Geet annoyed : again , blame on me , babaji !!!

She rushed out irritated nd cursing him under her breaths.

Maan looked at her back with a smile , sniffed nd mumbled : not a bad deal Maan , cold se kuch to mila .

He took that tray nd went out , reached in kitchen nd warm that cold soup in microwave with a naughty grin ,, Geet was also in kitchen nd glaring him .

He went back taking his warm soup ,, Geet set d dinner nd brought in DM's room ,, A&V had their thai food where as DM had light ,, Geet served them Kheer ,, DM asked about maan's condition nd Geet said that he suffering , sneezing nd sniffing DM made a sad face, she insisted to give some warm kheer to Maan ,,that was his fav. ,, Geet nodded nd secured d things ,, satish cleaned d table nd Geet reminded V to give DM's meds after few min ,, A left for her room nd V remained with DM ,,he opened his lappy nd got busy ,, DM thanked Geet nd pecked her forehead lovingly .
