"Khurana!!! Take out your assignment," a smirking Geet ordered Maan as she stood beside his table, with arms crossed over her chest.
Him exclaiming loudly in class was enough for her to realise he didn't complete his assignment or maybe didn't even do it. Pehle toh bach gaya... Lekin ab... Ab aaega mazaa, she thought as her devilish mind worked on her upcoming plan.
Damn!!! How could I miss that!!! Kissi aur Ki class hoti toh shayad chance bhi milta lekin yeh Geet!!! Ab toh tu gaya Maan bete, Maan told himself inwardly.
The meeting with the FSC people had really taken a toll on him during the past 2 days. The back to back meetings had taken up so much of his time during the day that by the time he reached home, he could do no more than hit the bed, despite the continuous requests from Dadima to have his dinner. Admist all these, he completely forgot about the assignment. Shit Maan!!! Out of all the things, you forgot about this only!!! Damn!!! He cursed himself.
"Assignment!!! Yea... Errr..." he stammered as he tried thinking of an excuse. His letter saved him earlier but this time!!! If he wanted, he could easily escape this time as well using the power his surname was attached to, but that would be really unfair to the others, he realised.
"Don't worry. Take your time. After all you just came. I'll check with the others in the meanwhile. Take your time... Ok!!!" Geet let out to him with a mocking grin as he simply nodded positively.
"Good!!! Ok that side, take out your work," Geet added as she turned to the other side.
"Sss--M-Maan!!!" Adi suddenly called him in the lowest voice. He raised his eyebrows to him asking him what the matter was, not wanting Geet to catch them talking like the previous time. "You can take mine. I know you di..." He was interrupted by Arjun, seated on Maan's right side, who didn't want to miss any chance to impress Maan.
"No no no Maan!!! Take mine, I'm used to punishments waise bhi," he lied as Yash and Dev shook his head at him. Kamina ek bhi mauka nahi chorega. So they mutually decided to let him only help Maan knowing how important a task it was for him.
"No Sir, take mine!!!" Adi again whispered.
"No!!! He'll take mine," Arjun gritted as he glared Adi and then looking at Maan he sweetly added, "haina Maan!!!"
"Shut up both of you," Maan finally groaned loudly without realising, irritated by both of them.
"Tsk tsk, yeh kya!!! 3 students aur sirf 2 assignments!!! So unfair!!!" Geet dramatically said as she witnessed the little scene between them without them noticing her eyes on them.
Being caught off guard, all 3 stayed seized in their place.
"So, tell me, whom of you didn't bring his assignment?" She asked feigning ignorance.
Geet shook her head mockingly as all 3 pointed towards their own self.
"Areh yeh kya!!! Teenon apne assignment nahi laaye??? Matlab all 3 will be punished today!!!" She added in an angry tone. Cmon speak up now.
"Geeet... Miss... You know it's me, so kindly let them be," Maan spoke up not wanting the others to be punished unnecessarily.
"No Miss, it's me," Adi said not wanting Geet to punish his boss. Isn't it his duty to save him anyways? He did remember promising his Dad to always help Maan whenever it would be possible for him to do so. If this meant him being punished in Maan's place, then so be it, he thought determinedly.
"No Miss, it's me," Arjun immediately said, actually feeling bad for Maan, after seeing Adi's genuine care for him.
Grrr!!!!! Ab toh marks pakka kaatoongi Maan ke chamchon ke!!! She told herself as she saw her plan failing... Yet again. Kya solidarity hai!!! Fine!!! Teenon Ki khabbar leti hoon, she finally decided.
"Well since all 3 of you claim that you didn't bring your work, then teenon ko saza milenge," she announced firmly and loudly which invited a gasp from several students and then added, "All 3 of you, OUT of my class, right NOW," she emphasised on her words as she glared at them. No way she could let her little plan fail. If that meant punishing 2 innocents, then so be it. Waise bhi all is fair in love and war and moreover Arjun aur Adi bhi kuch kam nahi hai. Ek apne doston ke saath milke mujhpe jaasoosi karta hai aur doosre ko toh apne Maan Sir se barker kuch dikhayi hi nahi deta. Yes-Man kahin ka. They were so fond of playing the role of his Godfather na, then so be it, she convinced herself.
"Miss hottie toh hitler nikli yaar," Dev murmered, covering his mouth with his hand as he slightly leaned towards Yash.
"Chup kar, warna 3 ke badle 5 ko bahar jaana padega, aur Arjun ki taraf toh bilkul bhi mat dekhna. Khood phas gaya. Kahin humein bhi na phasaye," Yash whispered in an audible voice in reply, after he was convinced that Geet was not looking in his direction.
As Maan was walking out of the class followed by his 2 supporters, Geet's voice made him stop in his tracks.
"Oh haan, I forgot to add. Make sure all 3 of you are on your knees," she stated calmly.
As two heads turned in her direction, not believing what she just uttered, Geet simply looked towards her class and resumed her assignment-collecting task, completely ignoring them. Bare aaye Maan ko support karne waale. Ab teenon bhukto, she thought inwardly with a wicked smirk.

"I never thought, out of all people, Geet would do this to us," Adi complained as the 3 of them were on their knees outside the class, "I mean, MISS Geet," he added mockingly.
"But Guys!!! What's her problem with you people? I mean, seeing her behaviour towards the 2 of you, especially M...Maan," Arjun was cut in by Maan's glare. "Nahi woh I mean, I mean she is kinda harsh to you, ok not harsh, but you know what I mean...haan, she seems like she is hell bent on irritating the two of you, toh it seems obvious to us... I mean all of us, all of us, haan, that you know, ummm she has a problem with Ma..errr you people. Akhir chakkar kya hai, huh?" he added as he mustered a little bit of courage to speak like this in front of Maan, that too, about something which directly concerned him. And then, since they're alone, why not try his luck in getting to know the truth. At least, this will help him have an upper hand in front of Yash and Dev.
"Arjun, tum shayad already bhool gaye? Lekin, kindly apna dimaag use kar ke yaad karo, Maan said he doesn't wish to share details of his personal life, then baar baar tum log ek hi sawaal kyon poochte rehate ho. Kitne ziddi ho tum teenon yaar?" Adi growled at Arjun as he narrowed his eyebrows to him.
"Dekh Adi, don't ta,"
"Kya Dekh Adi, ter,"
And their banter again started.
"Just shup up," Maan again voiced out, "I do not want us to be punished once more for talking during our... our...p...this silly punishment. And you both have already done enough damage so please zip your mouth now," he ordered them.
Pata nahi yeh sab kab tak chalega, he thought, kneeled in front of the class, being conscious of Geet's eyes on him from time to time. He was damn sure he heard her giggling few times- ah that melodious tune... Get a grip Maan!!! You're being punished by her- that little devil of a woman or a girl... ahhh...whatever. Thank God Vicky yahan nahi parta. Usse iss baat ki khabar hoti, toh Annie ko zaroor batata aur tab... ahhh, he shuddered thinking how much he would have been teased by his family members had they been aware what just took place... MSK, class topper and being punished!!! Damn!!!
