PART 4

Before leaving for holidays to home Maan ,from the visitor register took out geet's information, her permanent address and her guardian's phone number(her father's)..

He then went back home to his family. His family was very happy seeing him back...he spent quality time with his family...getting some lone time with his mother the first thing he did was talk to his mother about geet and his wish to get married to her...

Everyone got so happy and excited. They have not yet seen geet, but that did not matter to them. They trusted maan's choice and if maan was actually ready to get married who were they to stop.

So the first thing he did was call on geet's dad's number he got from the army guest records register...

He talked with him on the phone over the phone and put his wish to bring his family and have a word with him since he really loved his daughter. ...

THE loving father he was, initially hesitant, but the tone of maan's voice ...he gave into his instinct to give maan a chance...so after fixing up everything they fixed up a date and the meeting place...

Maan did not talk about all this with geet and so he requested her father to not let geet know anything about it...

THE DAY OF THE MEETING

Both the families sat down in some hotel in geet's hometown...after changing the pleasantries maan asked geet's parents to have a word with him in private...

IN PRIVATE

Maan: I don't know uncle, how must i put these in words, but all I'll end up saying is I love your daughter. Please don't take me wrong. I don't know if geet have told you about me or not. We have kown each other for a few months and are quiet good friends...I like geet sir and i really do like her...you know better than me how your daughter is. She is wild, outgoing, caring, loving, innocent. But she is confused too. She wants to prove the world, to you that she can live alone, because that is what she has been chanting all her teens. Now to prove her words...she would just not budge like that... but sir i promise, i would show her what love is, that it can work wonders in life,,...I promise to love her her and cherish her for lifetime. Please sir, give me one chance , I have no more words to put up my heart in words and explain to you any better than this...but sir I need her...i really do need her in my life...

You even know geet would never settle down if she is given the choice,,,...,so i am asking you to take this decision for her...she always tells me ,how much she loves you and would do anything for you...

Call her home and let me have a word with her in person about this... I promise i would respect her decision...she will be the one to take the final decision...

After listening to maan, it was geet's mother who spoke up to geet's father and then spoke to maan.

Geet's mother: I don't know why son...but I feel that you are the right choice for my daughter. Blame it on my mother instincts but i would really like to give you a chance...God bless you son...

...after the talk and having dinner the families returned back to their places,...
