It was a stuffy sunday afternoon and Geet and Maan are sitting in the apartment, bored.

While Maan has lied down on the bed, his arm covering his face, Geet sat there, her ridiculously long hair tied into a bun, her knees pulled to her chest, in the loveseat, in the bedroom, to save herself from the otherwise humid rooms. Thank god for the AC.

"So, what's up?" she ventures slowly.

He looks startled that he removes his arm and stares at her They were but the characters spun by a master writer Commelina, and all they could do was be suspended in air, until the writer comes to pick up from where she had left them off.

It was hence, Maan's doubts were justified.

"Are you sure we can continue with the conversation?" he asks

"Who said we can't?" asks young Geet "Plus I get bored sitting here moping all day, and cooking and getting depressed. The last time I was suspended after a chapter was in a rainy day, in the middle of nowhere. Do you know how sick i got?"

"Wow. You sure talk a lot. How does the writer put up with you?"

"The same way she would put up with your condescension" she shot back.

"If we are going to continue the conversation in this tone, I think it should work. We won't be toeing any line and still stick to our characters"

"How intelligent of you! Do you want a yellow legal pad to write to-do and what not to do list for this conversation?"

Despite his usual mood, he laughed. "You're catching up on sarcasm. I like it"

"You don't seem to like it very much in the story"

"You are giving me serious competition. You know that is my thing. How can i not feel insecure"

It was her turn to laugh.

"Why aren't you like this always?" she asks "Sometimes you get to me. I feel like punching the guts out of you"

"And what about the other times?"

She remained silent. "What about the other times? Nothing and why are you flirting with me? Aren't you supposed to be in your character?"

"Wow getting flustered and all. Classic Geet. Good to know we agree on one thing at least. Staying in character. I am going to sleep. You can stop sitting like that and sleep yourself. The wait might be longer" he said and yawning, fell asleep.

what a beautifully written story...read all th parts together...funny interesting romantic...y i was thinking geet actually told the real story of maan married to her in their reception...really he didnt recognize her...whats the problem between geet n ayush...hope that dev will remains taras forever...y pinky was so judgemental n i was thinking she would become a gd friend of geet ..i was feeling so sad when geet was crying in the kitchen...maan never tried to know whats geets background...what she wants in her life...he has his own dream...he is educated modern then y he is nt thinking of geets education...so many dreams of everyone in this story n everything looks so real in life...maans dituation in office just like mine...broken dreams of geet to become a doctor just like me...geet doesnt know how to cook just like me...trying for a baby of tara n dev n their situation just like a situation of my collegue cum friend tarannum...th relation between adi n his FIL just like my father n my hubby...uff so much similarities...waiting for next
