'mamma ab ap hi batao mein kya karoon?Wo hamesha aise hi karti hain.Wo kaise itne asanise us Rahul ko maaf karsakti hain?Pata hain dadima,she is soo innocent or uski isi maasomiyaat ka faida sab utha teh hain ' -Annie pouted making a face remembering her bestest friend in the world- Geet Handa. Geet was more like a sister to Annie.Where every single person she ever met tried to befriend her because of her immense wealth,the Khurana name tag nd incase of girls,it was plainly because they wanted to get closer to her brothers. But Geet was like a breathe of fresh air in her life.It didn't matter what her name was or who her brothers were,the only thing that mattered to Geet was the fact that to her, Annie was the sister she never had nd always longed to have.
Nd here Annie was going on cribbing nd complaining about Her Geet to her dadima nd ma.This was a usual scene in the Khurana Palace everyday since the last two years from the time both the girls got together.It came as a surprise as how the otherwise arrogant nd high headed Annie gelled up with someone so soon.She was quite composed in nature nd it was very amusing seeing her getting all hyper even at the mention of Geet's name.Annie was super protective towards Geet nd she never liked the fact of Geet being so ignorant (well in her words masoom ) towards her surroundings.
Unable to take her continuous bickering anymore,dadima thought to interfere her granddaughter.She had met Geet a lot of time whenever she went to drop nd pickup Annie from college nd she was highly fond of the beautiful,innocent princess as Annie calls her. 'Annie beta ap kyun itni pareshaan ho rahi hain?ab kya kiya Geet ne ? And unfortunately for her nd Sapna her only Dil -Annie started all over again with her bickering.The ladies could not do much other than rolling their eyes over their nautanki baccha. 'Apko pata hai dadi,that day we went to the college fest,apko toh patai hain the theme was of 70s..aree aphi naih toh mujhe dress up kiya tha.' After dadi's nod she continued-dadi party mein Geet bhi thi mere sath or apne toh dekhahi hain she is so beautiful or uss din toh puchohi maat kitni khoobsurat lagrahi thi..manno jaise asmaan se koi apsara uthri ho.' Annie pouted while saying this while the ladies in front of her frowned. 'toh isme pareshaani ki kya baat hain beta?' -Sapna asked not getting any clue of what got Annie this much angry..she was never the jealous type as she had her fair share of admirers nd in case of Geet it's a big no no.As if getting their confusion Annie voiced out the reason.
'Problem ye nahin hain mamma,problem toh kuch or hain.Wo Rahul-wo gadha ,khotta,ulla ka pattha usne us din Geet ke saath baathtameezi karneki koshish ki just because she refused to dance with him.Wo toh accha hua ki main,Yash or Dhruv thein waha par,nahi toh pata nahi wo kya karta.' The ladies were equally horrified listening to her,while Annie continued 'or patha hain dadi uss Geet ne aj kya kiya? Jab wo Rahul aaj usse maafi mangraha tha ye keh ke ki wo drunk tha to usse chaper marne ki bajaye Geet ne usse maaf kardiya', and the Khurana princess was fuming by now just thinking of the morning incident while both the ladies looked at her with sheer amusement.
'Matlab wo aise kaise kar sakti hain?Is Geet ka na kuch nahi ho saktha,sabpe asani se bishwas kar leti hain nd she thinks everyone around her is good.Dadi ab aap hi batao mein kya karoo iska,wo itni masoom kyu hain ?Mujhe hamesha dar laga rehta hain ki kahi kisi din usko uski maasomiyat bhari na par jaaye,agar kabhi kisine usse hurt karne ki koshish ki toh ?'
By now Annie was on the verge to tears nd the ladies knew thay had to calm her down- she was way too possesive nd protective towards her Geetu.They made her sit between them,while dadima patted her hair nd Sapna wiped her tears away. 'Annie beta Geet ko kuch nahi hoga.apko toh pata hain na God kabhi bhi acche logo ke saath bura nahi karte or toh or Geet ke saath toh uski Babaji bhi hain hamesha or agar koi problem abhi gayi toh aap hain na unki bestfriend.Usse hamesha protect karne ke liye'. nd this surely calmed down Annie a bit nd she nodded her head nd promised to herself to always be there for her Geetu.
To change her mood,dadi continued- 'waise Annie bete uss din humne itni mehnat se apko tayyar kiya par apne toh hame apki programme ki ak bhi pic nahi dikhayi' she pouted with fake anger. And as expected Annie jumped up on her legs nd yelled, 'aare ha main toh bhul hi gayee thi iske baare mein ,mein abhi laati hu' nd she ran up to her closet to get the snaps nd handed them over to her ma nd dadima. As Sapna was going through half of the pictures as the other half was on dadi's hands,she suddenly gasped seeing a picture. It was a picture of a breathtakingly beautiful young girl who was unaware of the fact that someone had just clicked her picture Sapna was bowled over seeing the beauty nd innocence.Annie nd dadi turned hearing her gasp nd asked her wut the matter was. She handed over the picture to dadi who was equally astonished seeing it but atleast she knew who this princess is. Frowning seeing their faces Annie took the picture from dadi nd squeeled with joy, 'areeh yeh toh meri Geet hain.Dekha dadi apne,agar picture mein hi itni khoobsurat lagrahi hain toh socho asal mein kaise dikhi hogi.Everyone just went gaga over her looks as usual per hamari jhalli princess toh apni hi maasti mein maast thi. Bechare Yash or Dhruv ko kitne ladko se paange lene pare as they tried every means to come closer to her.'
'Toh yeh hain apki Geet?' Sapna asked still not out of the sweet shock.
'ha ma, yehi hai mer Geet,oh mujhe toh abhi yaad aya apne to kabhi Geetu ko nahi dekha, kyuki do saal mein wo kabhi bhi hamare ghar nahi aayi' Sapna simply nodded her head still not out of the daze, 'meine toh aaj tak socha tha ki Geet sirf khoobsurat hai or ap hi hain jo bina wajeh itni protective ho rahi hain par aaj unko dekha toh pata chala ki wo toh sach much ki pari hain.' And Annie was super delighted hearing her
mother complementing her bestfriend. 'hain na ma ,dekha maine kaha tha na apko ki meri Geet sabse best hain' nd she grinned thinking of her bholuraam.
All three were busy in their 'Geet' land to notice the person who was standing at the door in a relaxed posture awhile ago but had gone stiff all of a sudden.Maan Singh Khurana (naam toh suna hi hoga ) the name itself had the power to make everyones heart race.He was declared as the worlds youngest business tycoon nd has been awarded the best business man of the year award from the last three years at a row.He was 26 years of age,even though he had joined his grandfather's established business but after he joined it was a different story all together.The business nd Khurana empire had reached it's peak nd now they were listed as one of the richest nd influential families in the world. A complete heartthrob nd named as the most desirable eligible bachelor in India whose one look could make any girl faint but Maan lived in a different world altogether.Nothing mattered to him other than his family nd work. He loved his family to the core nd his work was his first love.His enemies feared him nd his friends admired him. The angry,tall,dark,handsome man for the outer world was actually a simple,kind,down to earth man for his family,most imortantly his lil' princess Annie.
So,here he was, the MSK standing outside Annie's room nd staring at sth without blinking his lashes. He had just come home after a tiring day at office nd was just nearing his room but stopped on his tracks hearing Annie's cribbing. Geet, he didn't know why but this name stirred sth inside him from the very begining Annie had told him about her.First he was amused that Annie could be so protective nd possesive about someone else other than him,than a bit a jealous as he never liked sharing Annie with anyone but now he could only admire the bond both the friends share.Although he had never seen Geet as he was out of the country most of the time for business deals but nevertheless he knew each nd everything about her- courtesy Annie.
So,hearing Geet's name Maan thought of not interfering Annie's cribbing nd listen to what Geet has done again.As he heard all that Annie said he felt a wave of protectiveness go through him.Even though he had no idea why he felt so. As he was contempleting on his thoughts he shot his head up hearing his mother's gasp nd what he saw had not only shocked his mother but had also managed to take his breathe away.To say he was mesmerized would be an understatment..he was spellbounded. He had never ever seen anything or anyone as beautiful as her.He had heard from Annie of how beautiful nd innocent she is but he never gave it a second thought cause he had seen numbers of beautiful nd gorgeous women in his life who had nothing better to do then throw themselves at him which he highly detested.But what he saw now was beyond his own imagination.His breathe got caught in his throat at the thought of other men eyeing her as Annie said how hard it was for Dhruv nd Yash to handle these men. He didn't know y even the name of Dhruv nd Yash beside her pained him.He would've continued staring at her picture if dadima wouldn't have noticed him nd called him inside.Thats when he realised that he had not been breathing for a while. He had no idea when his legs dragged him inside the room .Annie squelled seeing her brother nd hugged him asking how his day was ,but every word went into deaf ears as his mind was totally blocked by the masoom princess of his Annie.As dadi nd Sapna finished going through the pictures they handed it over to him. His heart skipped a beat with the thought of seeing her again nd it's beats seemed to get higher as he went through each nd every picture waiting desperately to see her again nd then it came- thud,he was flat.The MSK for the first time was tongue tied nd he had no words to describe how he felt.His eyes sparkled nd there was a small almost invisible smile on his face. He tried his best to keep his sudden overflowing emotions in check behind his tough exterior to avoid getting caught by the jasoos of the house -his dadima. But alas it was too late.She had already seen what she wanted to see including Sapna nd gave each other a knowing look.Dadima was literally doing bhangra inside her head.
Maan desperately tried to go through the remaining pictures but failed miserabely as he couldn't get his eyes off of this beautiful dream. So he did what he did best,masked his expressions nd excused himself on the pretext of an urgent call. But it pained him so hard thinking of leaving her...it felt like he was leaving a part of himself there. He himself was amazed nd shocked beyond words with these sudden emotions that was overpowering his whole existence right now. It just was not the beauty of her but the pure innocence mixed with lots of mischief in her eyes that left him spellbounded. He shaked his head roughly to get out of her thoughts, he could not believe he was thinking of a stranger whom he had never met. But he was yet to realize that she had not only conquered his thoughts, but also his mind,heart nd soul just with her single glimpse.
