fantastically written story...
the title got me a intrigued a lot -- initially i thot it was the maneet version of some jodha akbar story - Parijat -- since the leads there are Paridhi and Rajat there are a lot of stories with Parijat as titles -- i apologise for jumping to conclusion there not even sure if you follow that forum😳 ... the second thing was "Desideratum" - i really thought that it was a made up word -- its when i read the first line that i knew that is actually is a word ... I don't even remember reading that work while preparing for my GRE 😳😳😳
about the story loved it... i was in my office wen i started reading it... dint have much work and was waiting to finish off my hours -- thats when i thought of looking up a short story in IF to pass my time and found your story -- Trust me havent done this ever -- but i worked overtime to finish your story -- loved it!!!
Maan and Geet here are so passionate -- the poem and the description of Maan and Geets feelings after the poem are awesome... the loved the whole jhooti mangetar version here -- Maan did trick her to become his fiance... loved the whole story but specially loved the part where he describes Geets character and personality giving examples from his life and then asking Geet if she would find a guy as caring as him - as he loves and cares for her... each instance that he mentioned was sooo touching --- Geet should have got the clue there that she is his Parijat and that why Shefali became Shef the day he found out the meaning because for him theres only one Parijat - his GEET😃... the banana thing was so adorable had i got such note written on a banana i would have left the exam to find a preservative that would have kept the banana and the note intact till eternity...😆😆😆
All in all fantastic story and just loved this one - line ---- "Kiss me again darling to show me that this is not a dream or kill me right now if you are nothing but a fever induced dream" that was the first line i read since i was just scrolling down to see how big the story is and found that in bold... very well written... Please continue soon... (this story and if possible the others too)😉

I adore this Ma(a)n so much. A person with so much love , passion coupled with patience is hard to find.
How did you manage to write such dialogues?
Each line filling us with zillion of emotions. A person like this Maan in your life and i wonder if there is anything or anyone you can think about.There is absolutely no chance.
You know the biggest quality was his patience. In her stupidity or if better put naivety she was on the verge of losing the most beautiful thing that had happened to them.
He loved her immensely. The way you ve described love seems too small a word to define what he actually felt for her. She was a part of him.Distances couldnt part them. Misunderstandings couldnt deter him. How do you part from your soul? And for me they were soulmates.

The way he described what kind of lifepartner she needed and the way he proposed her to be his fiancee how could she still have doubts. I would have simply ran to him and told him how much i felt for him irrespective of the fact he loved me or not. But then if it was so easy there would never be pain in the name of love.
When you are in love you act silly..there is no common sense in love.Didnt Mr darcy once say" I would have spoken more if i felt less."

But i m glad Maan fought for his love.He knew how to love and also cherish what he felt.
When you desire something strongly and the desire originates from your soul you have to fight for it to achieve even if the whole universe conspires against it.

Di it was wonderful experience cannot express in words. An amazing love story!!!

How well he knows her, all in & out, every emotion he can read.. she is really helpless in front of her and can never lie or hide her feelings. I liked how he took out his anger when he came to know about her profile in matrimonial site. how insanely she loves him...stored all in her...she is ready to do anything if it makes him happy. but I think he loves her more than she loves him. how can she stay away from him.. loved every bit of his dialogues. I liked the part her praying for his super success in his exams, which included the her note stick in banana too...lol...crazy geet...he came to know about her feelings after reading poem that wrapped in the saree he gifted...ab to geet phas gayi...how boldly he carried and hugged her in front of all...

the affect of the fake engament on her over the night was intense.. i loved tht part very much!

then the morning again with lots of surprises n shocks!

and finally the time to lift all veils n face the truth on the face of it!
