They were welcomed warmly.

Ram: Mohinder, How are you... It has been so long

Mohinader: Yeah, we met at Arjun's wedding...

Ram: Yeah

Mohinder: Bhabi ji, How are you

Maira: We are good. How are you and Rano ji

Rano: Bilkul theek bhabhi ji

They greeted Maan too and all went inside.

Geet was still in her room busy cribbing to Meera

Geet: Meera where are you

Meera: Geet I am just coming

Geet: Meera, its just so awkward for me... and you are...

Meera: Geet just 5 min...

Geet: Ok bye...

Here in her room she was freaking out

Meera reached their and was greeted by both the Handas and Khurannas

Mohinder: This is Meera. She is Geet's best friend

Meera: Hello Sir, Ma'am

And Meera rushed from their towards Geet's room

Meera: Geet

Geet: Where were you haa?? You know I am getting nervous...

Meera: Yar I got late...

Geet: Tu...tu ruk...

Geet sprang her her and hit with her fists

Meera: Oh the great Geet Handa is getting nervous... If someone from university gets to know.. they will laugh their heads off

Geet: Yar its not some university... and I am not giving some presentation or exam... this is a complete new chapter, a complete new beginning... When you will come on this stage na... then I will ask..

Meera: Geet just calm down... I didn't mean to bother you more... its just that you were getting hyper and I wanted to calm down

Geet just nodded

Meera then tried to lighen the conversation

Meera: Waisay you are very lucky

Geet: May I know how?

Meera: The guy has a class no doubt..

Geet: Kaha yar... I was watching his interview ... he only looks handsome but in reality like he is an angry young man. While giving that interview... he din't even smile once...

Meera: Wah yar... kia speed hai... Dekh bhi liya.,.. but seriously yar... People are different in their professional and persanal life... so just meet him and see

Rano just entered the room

Rano: Geet.. you come now... Just greet his parents... sit for a while... then I will ask Ganga to put the snacks and tea in your room and then Maan and you can talk for a few minutes

Geet nodded and went from there towards where the guests were seated. Geet greeted them once she entered.

When Geet entered Ram, Maira, and Maan all stood up

Ram patted her head, Maira gave her a hug and Maan just stood there not saying anything

Maan(Selfthought): So this is Geet... No doubt she is beautiful... this pink colour suit is looking adorable on her and the smile on her face is mesmerizing... her eyes... they say it all... the innocence her eyes carry... Was I looking for her... Can't even get answer to that...

Maan was just lost in his thoughts when all sat down and he was still standing

Ram: Maan you can look her in detail later...

Everyone giggled and Maan got embarrassed and just sat down

Geet was seated beside Maira where Maira asked some random questions

After few minutes everyone started conversing amongst themselves and Maan and Geet just listening to them

Maan just glanced her at a time... and smiled

While Geet was a in a very awkward position... she didn't know whether to keep her eyes down or look at them... what to do with her hands... keep them in her lap... or one on the other... or joining them

Maan was a silent spectator to all this and smiled looking at her so nervous, confused.

Geet felt that someone was looking at her and she glanced upwards. Her eyes met very sincere orbs of a man who may be her would be... She could see the difference in him already. He was not the person she felt he was while watching the interview... He had something in him which made Geet intrigued towards him.

Geet(Selfthought): Geet comeback from your lala land... Rememeber what you have to do

Geet just glared at him then and there.

Maan (Selfthought): She was fine a moment ago... now what happened to her... I liked her nervous, confuse state better than this sherni avatar... Maan... if after marriage... wah Maan already u have started dreaming of your after marriage life...

While two souls were thinking about eachother, they are disturbed

Rano: Maan beat... geet will take you to her room

Geet quietly stood up and led the way

They went upstairs

Once on enterance Maan saw a very lively room, well decorated and girly stuff here and there.

Geet made him sit on the coffee chair in the room near the window.

The window was open with slight breeze entering and moving the offwhite shafoon curtain. The moon was there spreading its dim light in the room making it more alluring.

Geet: hmm how much sugar will u take

Maan : 1tsp please

Geet nodded and added sugar and started stirring

Once she was done she moved her hand towards him with the cup and saucer but her hand was not steady at all and the cup started making crackling sound with the saucer. Maan immediately took it

Maan: I know you are nervous. Whether you agree or not... but I am too

Geet (Selfthought): Downstairs he was staring at me and smiling... it doesn't look like he was or is nervous.

Geet just nodded

Maan: Well I don't know what you think of me

Geet(selfthought): Saru aur kia

Maan stopped

Maan: Did you say anything

Geet: Umm me no..

Maan: Chalo lets start with the foundation

Geet (selthought): Kaha than na.. he talks business only... MSc in Architecture kia kar lia... now he will tell me... cement kon si quality ka acha hai... how much the floors the building should get

Maan: So what have you done

Geet(Selfthought): Chal Geet get started... drama shuru

Geet: Wo... I did till 11 grade with passing marks... that too with a lot of difficulty...

Maan was shocked to hear that

Maan(Selfthought) Why is she lying??

Maan was roaming his eyes here and there while listening when he saw her certificates hanged on the wall

He stood and went there reading them a bit loudly

Geet (Selfthought) :Duffer... atleast u would have taken off these certificates... Ohh no... is mai to high achiever university certificates bhi hai

Maan turned around smirking

Maan: Well acha... phir these must be fake

Geet: No no they are real...

Geet spoke spontaneously and then bit her lip

Geet: Oh wo...

Maan again sat down on the coffee chair in a very relaxed manner sipping tea silently...

Geet knew that she was caught redhanded.

Geet: I don't know how to cook

Maan: Koi baat nahi... there are many servants

Geet: I have a boyfriend

Maan: Acha...Mujhe farak nahi parta...Waisay aur kiya kiya bolna chahti ho for stopping this marriage

Geet by now knew that Maan was aware that she was lying

Geet gathered herself and decided to confront him
