Maan was amused seeing her... for the past half an hour... her expressions changed in milliseconds which told everything about her... what she is thinking. She was alike open book in front of him. The more he turned the pages the more interesting it got.

Geet: Maan I know that you are here with a proposal... but the thing is... right before this proposal... I didn't have any plans like that... I even haven't thought about that matter at all... Its just today morning mom told me all about it so that's why it is very awkward for me... So I planned to get rid of this proposal... liken... everything is going the other way

And Geet pouted making her more beautiful.

Maan: Okay I understand... but what's your reason

Geet: Actually I want to study more... I want to study from UK... I have to complete my masters... I applied for scholarships but u know that they take time... Phir I want to be an independent woman... I want to stand up for myself... after doing my masters I want to do job to secure my future... ... Aur phir I am too a girl who wants to enjoy her life to the fullest... I don't want a marry a guy just for the sake of being his wife... just to get a tag of a wife... I don't want to be dependent on him... I want him to understand me... I want to see his loving and caring side not his professional angry side...

Maan knew that somewhere she was taunting him... ignoring the later reason he replied

Maan: Ok what are you applying for... .Go for higher ranking universities though

Geet was shocked to hear all this...

Geet(Selfthought) Wasn't he supposed to get offended. Wasn't he supposed to say... that you can't study more... that's enough...

Geet without thinking further uttered

Geet: Par how can u say that... aren't you going to tell me u don't need to study more. No need to do a job... as you are financially stable. Aren't all men like that... aur phir how are you so calm advising me... Interview mai to u were

Maan smirked and added

Maan: Ahh so you have watched my interview in the morning

Geet: Wo ummm. Its was on facebook and since I knew your name so I was curious...

Geet uttered reluctantly and Maan while smiling added

Maan: That's ok... I can understand... But u should watch the whole interview before saying anything...

Geet was still in shock

Maan wanting her to divert her mind from present uttered

Maan: Ok chalo...leave all this... forget I am here to marry you or whatever... at least we can be friends...since our parents are very good friends...tell me... what u made out of all these snack... I didn't touch any since I wanted to eat anything made by you.

Geet replied shocked

Geet(Selfthought) Yeh kaisa banda hai... The whole drama turned the other way round... I thought that he will reject me... if I say those things... In todays world nobody wants girls like that as their wives... so outspoken, career-oriented...and he asking me can he be friends...what is happening...

Geet: ahh wo... I made cheese cake..

Maan: Oh wow... blueberry cheese cake... you know I love blueberry cheese cake.

Geet replied reluctantly

Geet: Yeah... its my favourite too.. I thought I shall make something of my choice...

Maan sat down and took a bite and relished it to the core..

Maan: its amazing Geet.. Once we get married.. u are going to make it for me everyday...

Geet replied yet again surprised

Geet :when did I say yes

Maan: well you didn't say no either... well I am sure you will say yes if not today...tomorrow

Geet: why are you so confident?

Maan: well I just know...

They had their snacks and now were conversing on random topics and didn't knew where half an hour went

Rano came in and they were laughing...

Geet: So who's ur favorite actress?

Maan: Well it would be Shailyne Woodley.. Though her habits are a bit weird

Geet: Yeah I know... I heard about that... she eats clay or what... I heard it in one of their interview

Maan: did u watch Divergent?

Geet: Yeah I did... but the book was way better... Though Theojames was to die for

Maan: Should I be jealous?

Geet laughed at that... and that is when Rano came in

Rano:Looks like you two are already getting along.

Maan: Yes Aunti... we were just talking about something

Geet again laughed

Ran: Geet beahave yourself...

Geet tried to sober herself but couldn't stop

Rano: Ok come downstairs after you are done

Geet just nodded

Maan was still in trance looking at her beautiful smile. It was like his wait was over and destiny had already started making plans to get them together

Geet: Ohh Maan you are so different from other men... I always see them as a dominating figure... but you... do u support feminism

Maan: actually I do... I believe that in every aspect man and women have equal rights... be it relationship, education...everything

Geet was yet again blown away with his thinking...

Geet(selfthought) He is so different... I was so wrong about him... Where is the angry young man I saw in the morning... Now its as if I am meeting a completely new person... a man so carefree, friendly... The stern expression that I saw in the morning long gone...Looks like a man with principle, courage and charm. He is perfect in business... loving and caring son... a sweet friend... and ... Wiat wait what I am saying... Friend... I already took him as a friend.

Maan: Geet where are u lost??

Geet: ohh nothing... you go downstair... I will just ask Ganga to remove the dishes from her... U know the way right

Maan moved out

Geet immediately lacated hercell phone and tried finding the interview which she half way watched only

After about 10 minutes... Her thoughts completely changed...

Geet came downstairs... smiling in her own trance

Geet(selfthought): Is he really the one for me... I still can't understand it... though he has got all the qualities which I always wanted... Kia karo...Kia karo

Meera: Wah... kia baat hai... you are smiling... looks like the marriage bells will be ringing soon... But Geet yar sahi to hai.. He is so handsome hai.. and.. has a class.. well educated bhi hai... all the things are there that you wanted... Kia bato Rano aunty ko... Haa hai??

Geet: Chup kar..

Meera: Phir... Abh to paki haa hai...

Meera rushed to Rano in the kitchen and murmured in her ear

Geet followed her

Rano: what is Meera saying

Geet just stood there with heads down still confused on what to say...

Rano being the mother understood her thoughts and knew what she has to do

Rano bought sweet infront of the Khuranas and they then and there knew the answer.

Maira and Ram looked towards Maan and he nodded too

Maira: Mubarak ho ji...

Rani: Khair Mubarak

Ram and Mohinder stood up and hugged eachother and then Mohinder and Maan also hugged

Mohinder: I am so happy today... looks like all my tension just went away

Rano: Bilkul sahi... I am so happy to have Maan as my son in law

Maira: and I am so happy to have your daughter as my daughter in law

They ate the sweet and Maira asked to bring the sweet boxes from the car

Mean while Maira asked

Maira: Please Rano ji can you bring Geet too.

Rano: Yes I will bring her right now

They all nodded happily.

Rano came into the kitchen and asked Geet to some along

Rano: Geet Chalo... they are calling you..

Geet: Now what... yeh kia ho raha hai...

Geet was still in confusion...

Geet: Mama this is happening so fast... I can not absorb so much in one day...

Rano: Beta...I think they will do a small ceremony... just that kay rishta paka hojai

Geet: But Mom this wasn't supposed to happen... I am just confused right now. Its happening all too fast... No doubt Maan is a nice guy but
