It is now safe to say, I have read all three stories of yours. Must say they are all very different and make for an interesting read.
For the Love of a child
I came across this due to Avi's best FF thread, it came under someone's best read suggestions and must say I agree 100%. Loved the tale, so very different yet familiar. You know what I mean by Sam's episode, cheating and all. But I hate that she totally ruined relationships for him. So much so that he opted for a surrogate mother, I like the fact that he was eager to be a father and maybe the means he chose was the best considering how invested he was, Riya actually helped him get out of the depression. I actually liked Maan, very composed; mature and diligent. He was a gentleman in most aspects. But man you had me freaked, I personally run away from teacher-student love stories, it has me freaked even if it is Maan and Geet lol. But that gosh she was the librarian, makes for a nice picture. Let's just say, I have the old sneaky librarian playing in my head at the moment lol. Anyway, back to Maan, he is such a caring father and the fact that he let Geet into his and his daughters life shows how much love he holds for Riya.
Geet had been a mystery, until obviously you disclosed her true identity. She went through so much. I absolutely abhorred the uncle for putting in such a situation where she had no choice. But I suppose it was for the best, I really liked her sincerity. She actually worked to give back his money, the money she had every right to considering the contract but then again she's a mother not a farm breeder. It's scary how everything can become a business even surrogacy I some parts of the world. I liked her slow, timid yet rigid approach, it makes sense conserving what she went through. If anything these two did deserve each other.
Riya, what can I say about this little cutie; the girl is my favourite. I've always felt for kids like her, who crave for a parents love and I'm glad she found Geet, more so that Geet found her. Geet needed a relation to keep her stability, I mean her main aim was to repay Maan, once she had accomplished that. What would have been her next aim, a life without any goal or family must be a hard life. Riya was that source of love and shine for her, so so so so happy Maan joined Geet's uni as a professor, it made the whole transition from stranger to nanny to mother rather smooth. Ok not smooth but slightly easier.
Once Maan knew the truth about Geet, the actions he took is understandable and so is Geet's reaction. And my heart went out to little Riya. Thankfully the adults acted rightly and decided to play a family for their daughter. Did I say I love this family, they are so so so perfect. But I must admit one of my favourite characters must be Thomas, he's a combination of these two Disney characters; so cute and sensible and the love he had for Riya, can I just say how honourable and honest lol. I loved him and found the whole my lady' thing cute and funny. I love love love him and Riya lol.
Sam, though she's a cow but I've read worse. I must admit I disliked her a lot but that's it really, she's just a bad chapter in Maan's life like how uncle is in Geet's life but required to help these two meet. I loved the slow and matured love story between Geet and Maan. It wasn't the slip and fall or the instant attraction type, which I do love but the fact that you stayed away showed their true characters. I suppose face value love is for the young and deep love, the heart connection is the older and wiser lot.
I loved the story, the adventure and the whole flow of the story
Thank you very much for such a tale, this defo goes to my fave list.
Tremble of Love
Honestly I'm a Geet girl, like most of the time I'm always agreeing to her notion however in this tale, I couldn't. I understand her apprehension, but I'm a strong believer in the institution of marriage and regardless of what I have heard and seen, I still believe in it. I suppose the faith comes from my parents love for one another, how they stand with or against one another lol, yet are strong pillars of strength when required. However that being said I'll still run away from the whole marriage saga lol when it comes to my time.
Anyway sorry, so yes I agree with Maan in a way. Hasn't he stemmed in the belief for her to trust him enough to give marriage a chance. But some wounds run too deep I suppose, yes see the Geet-fection within me is looking for reasons to justify her behaviour lol. Honestly though, had she had no faith in marriage then why on love, why fall for Maan. If husband and wife can separate, cant partners and lovers too? So I suppose I cant buy her excuse as a whole anyway, but that's because my personal beliefs.
On more than one occasion my heart went out for Maan, Zoya was a nice addition which frankly speaking I highly disliked her because like Geet, I too assumed Maan to be shifting towards her due to similarities and for the niece. Regardless to say, I liked Maan here even though I was super angry when he ignored my heart-broken geet, even if she called it upon herself. I almost every time expect Maan to fall to his knees and please my girl lol.
The hotel thing was spooky and a real weird plan, who came up with; Adi? Lol but all is well that ends well, so happy their friends cooked up a rather bizarre situation and made it work for them. I'm happy Geet decided to take the bullet rather than dodge it; for the love she has for him.
In the end, Geet and Maan do have what they wanted; a happy and secured life. I am glad it worked out well for them.
