~ DIL NE JISE APNA KAHA ~

Maan was giving some instructions to workers who were constructing school building and he suddenly he heard some noise from sports complex of school . All teachers andstudents were running there . He too thought to go there not knowing that shock is waiting for him at that particular place . He reached there and earth slipped away from his feet . There Geet waslaying unconcious on her back and blood was oozing out from her back of head..

" Geet " shouted Maan kneeling beside her and took her in his arms..

" Geet open ur eyes..plz open ur eyes " Maan patted her cheeks but there was no use..

" Mr.Khurana..we should first take her hospital " adviced another teacher..

Maan immediately picked up Geet in his arms and ran towards parking area and drove to hospital without wasting any time . Geet was bleeding so badly and her face was going pale every second . Maan felt so dejected seeing her in this state . After speeding up cars and breaking all traffic rules , they finally reached hospital . Maan ran inside the hospital with Geet in his arms screaming for doctor . Just then a doctor and two ward boys came with stretcher . He gently put her on stretcher and Geet was instantly taken to ICU . Maan sat down on the chair placed outside covering his whole face with his hands and tears striking down his cheeks . He looked up and saw nurses coming out and going inside with essentials in their hands . He prayed for her and promised babaji that if Geet recovers fully then he will gonna come daily barefoot to gurudwara for 40 days . Teachers too came and asked about Geet's condition from Maan and he pointed towards ICU . He asked them the reason of Geet's condition and one of the teacher told that she slipped from stairs . Maan assured them that he will take care of Geet as she is his friend and teachers took their leave handing him Geet's bag knowing very well about their friendship..

After wait of 2 hours , doctor come out and Maan got up from the chair mentally praying for best but still he was scared..

" doctor ,, how is Geet now ?? " asked Maan worriedly..

" no need worry Mr.Khurana..she is alright now but she will be concious only after 24 hrs " replied doc with a smile patting his back..

" thank u somuch doc !! " Maan thanked him smilingly taking a sigh of relief..

" that was our duty Mr.Khurana and you can see her after shifting her to private room " said doc and left from there..

Geet was shifted to private room and now Maan was sitting beside her on chair having her right hand in his . He softly kissed her hair mumbling " I Love You Geet " and stroked her hair..

Its was 4 in the evening and Mahi was continously crying for Geet and caretaker was also getting worried now as Geet always come on time..

" Mahi baby kuch toh khalo " said caretaker forwarding spoon towards her mouth..

" na..pehle mumma " cryingly said Mahi pushing spoon away making caretaker sighed..

" acha ek kaam karte..mumma phone karte hai " caretaker took out phone and dialled Geet's number while Mahi was looking at her with teary eyes..

Maan was sitting on couch with closed eyes and contentment on his face whereas Geet was sleeping peacefully . Geet phone buzzed forcing Maan to open his eyes . He took her phone out of her bag and put on his ear..

" hello Geet mam..aap abhi tak aayi nahi aur mahi bhi bahut roo rahi hai..plz come back soon " spoke caretaker from other side..

" sorry miss but may I know who is speaking " confusingly asked Maan..

" I am her daughter's caretaker but aap kaun hai aur Geet mam ka phone aapke pass kaise aur wo hain kaha " replied caretaker shocking Maan to the core..

" Geet's daughter..how come ? " muttered Maan to himself totally in shock..

" haa wo mein Maan..Geet ka friend aur Geet hospitalised..wo aaj subah slip ho gayi school mein " informed Maan coming out of trance..

" what ?? yeh kaise ho sakta hai aur Mahi bhi chup nahi ho rahi ho..ab main kya karu..I have to go to my house too " said caretaker..

" hmmm..do one thing..bring mahi here and then go to ur house " told Maan..

" okk sir..tell me hospital's name " asked caretaker..

" its xyz hospital " replied Maan and cut the call..

Maan leaned back his head at couch thinking deeply . Various questions were wandering in his mind . He has never seen her waering any marriage symbols . Is Geet widow ? Is she single mother ? or Is she a divorcee ? but there is also one thing that he has noticed in her . She had never shown any sign of sadness or distressed . She is so lively and cheerful . There is definately some mystery behind Mahi being her daughter . He promised himself no matter what he will always gonna love her and Mahi . Maan's thought halted with a knock on door . He told the person to come inside . Caretaker entered with crying Mahi in her arms . Maan stood up from his place and seeing Mahi something stirred in his heart . She was so cute and beautiful just like Geet . Maan hands unknowningly stretched for Mahi and caretaker handed Mahi to him . He carefully took her in his arms and she instantly stopped crying feeling his touch . He softly put her head on his chest stroking her hair and Mahi slowly drifted to sleep bcoz of all crying . Caretaker handed him Mahi's bag and told him about her food habits and then left from there . He looked at Mahi who was sleeping on his chest comfortably clutching his shirt in her tiny fists . He slowly sat down on couch embracing her tightly in his arms giving his warmth to her . He looked at her hands and slowly opened her fist and took her hands in his feeling her baby soft skin . Mahi instantly hold his finger leaving him in aww . For the first time he has seen a baby sleeping and that cute action of hers somewhere made him fall for her also . He stared at her face deeply noticing her features . Her complexion and hazels are same like Geet..
