That totally unexpected meeting really threw me for a loop. But I loved his reaction. I wanted to give him a pat on the back for that one. This Maan is nobody's doormat and he's arrived at this point after being rejected and hurt. She is the one person in the world to whom, he will in particular want to show this devil may care attitude.

If he does not change than why would her feelings for him either. There has to be a drastic change in him, for her to sit up and take notice. And now she definitely has noticed him.
And why should he recognize her? Her clothes were different, perhaps her hairstyle is different. Probably a lot has changed about her. So yeah I'm not surprised he did not recognize her.
Just have to see now, what Maan is going to do from now on.
@Bold: Exactly! There had to be significant changes in Maan for Geet to notice or their story might tread the same path as IOYSM.

It's not only about middle class families. It differs from person to person. That is why Raya ended up getting into a love marriage while Geet had already assumed she would never be allowed for it.

Behind the curtains: Lovely title and very apt 👏

The introspection and analysis she has been doing shows the refined maturity in her. She was always a thinker and one who took steps in life with caution and a lot of deliberation, But now after 7 years of facing different situations, people in life and her own profession I guess has added to her perspectives and viewing of self and related contexts.

I loved when she viewed her feelings and decisions in relation to him In 3 person perspective. Actually being outside of the said situation and also seeing the path your choices have led you to gives a wealth of knowledge as well as helps in keeping you sane. Its not like she was just trying to find justification in her decision so many years back... as she not only pointed her own follies but also why she felt it would be unfair to his true and strong feelings. Yes might have been something altogether different if she would have acted in some other way of expressing it all to him even understanding it all when she was somewhat getting to know about the strength of his feelings for her. It wasn't like she was unaware but then I guess her decision was based upon a lot of analysis of her own.

The talk with her mother must have been a very surprising one for her. So many times we feel the ones we're the closest to we can always predict or know for sure their reactions or views. But then no one can know any other person including self to the full extent. And I guess that's what makes living this life and being social being so much fun and interesting that we crave to be in company always and in a family unit. Very well put together by you Twinnie. 👏 Loved the whole synthesis as well as portrayal here.

Nishaji's poem very apt and described her feelings of the moment well 👍🏼 Geet does regret her choice for some moments in life but then each action has its own course of reaction and I guess it was somehow meant to be... She can now just ponder over it all in "if only..."

Her insomnia and going through her repressed feelings and thoughts as well as the image of just a glimpse that she kept for later pondering / analyzing them in the silence of her loneliness speaks a lot in its description. 👏

Bonds Beyond Blood: This triple B update was much needed I guess to make Geet ready to face the Khurannas again.

Anaya seems much mature now than I felt in IOYSM. She has become quite perspective and also someone with whom Geet can talk about things she feels hesitant towards as she gives her a completely neutral but friendly advice.

They finally addressed the most avoided topic of discussion. Him. But loved how Anaya spoke to her keeping it all light yet drilled into her some courage to meet and mend some bonds that were left stagnant.

Stringed Hearts: how true this title seemed to be for Geet. 😃

A mother's love is something that can't be filled in completely but then a Mother's warmth, care and love can be experienced from another mother who cares for you like a daughter. Mrs. Khurana embraced Geet so kindheartedly and understood her loss and comforted her without even use of words or any sympathy.

Raya -Raunaq's story reminded me of a couple I know and I actually pictured them while reading about your R&R 😉

So I'm guessing Ameerah was the sweet girl Geet encountered at the airport. 🤔

Kitty part at the Khurana's ... Hmm... Interesting 😆

A Don Juan? : I would love t give more importance to the question mark you added in the title 😉

I strongly feel my Tortoise can't become a kanhaiya even though a lot of time has passed by and he suffered a heart break. His core personality would always be my sweet, adorable and dependable Tortoise. 😆

But yes your this way of portraying him in a very different light seems interesting and keeps me very curious to know why is he presenting/projecting such a varied lifestyle? Three girls in a short span of time and all such that Geet has sneak-a-peak at each one 😲 He really did appear and disappear like a genie 😆

Vyan-Geet friendship is nurturing and he seems quite good and charming. But then he lacks something that I can exactly pin point to (In context to attract Geet madam's standards... 😆)

I loved the last self thought in this part "But he hadn't been that way... My heart whispered. I ignored it" Ah! Loved this whispering voices straight from her heart. 👏

The Khurannas: Hmm interesting changes here in the life of the Khurannas. It somehow makes me wonder that in the same time span/frame how much different your own circumstances can make you feel. Where a year back Maan and his family were prospering materially in the form of a new house, Geet and her family were surrounded by grief and loss with her loosing on something so precious to her both causing her scars emotionally and spiritually.

Reading this part I'm curious to know what and how much has Maan revealed to his family and how did each of them react to all that transpired 7 years back. Especially Zara as she was the one who had given him that push to confess.

Ah! So my guess about Ameerah being the one at the airport turns out to be correct

Both eavesdropping and gossip are an evil ... and the indulger firstly never hears something good spoken either about self or even others. Secondly it tends to blur one's judgement and perception especially when your opinion of the other is suspiciously in shaky grounds. And I guess Geet's final conclusion and decision was a resultant of it all that My bechara Tortoise has changed beyond comprehension. Mayyo Kyun ?? Just Becasue he is presenting (Or to say the writer is presenting him so 😡) to be so that he has changed to someone else ... I guess its all superficial . But will wait to read further updates to see where all of this is going. 😊
