Choreographer-turned-actor Salman ties the knot
Choreographer-turned-actor Salman Yusuff Khan married Faiza Harmain, his girlfriend of 10 years in a nikaah held in Bangalore yesterday. The walima (reception) will take place today.

"It's a close-knit family affair. I have invited a few industry friends," he says. Salman, the winner of Dance India Dance Season 1 and the latest season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, has also acted in the Bollywood film ABCD. He says, "Faiza has been my only girlfriend. We have been together for 10 years and are high-school sweethearts." They got engaged on December 9, the same date he had proposed to Faiza a decade ago.

For seven years now, Faiza has been working with an airline and the two were in a long-distance relationship. "I think that kept the spark alive. She wants to pursue fashion designing now. I will support her like she has supported me," he says. So, how did she react to rumours of his link-ups with reality show dance partners Isha Sharwani and Drashti Dhami? "Those who know me, know Faiza. She knows all my colleagues. However, I can't silence everyone, so I remained silent," he adds.
