The actress narrowly defeated Priyanka Chopra, TV star Drashti Dhami and current box office queen Deepika Padukone.
She secured the top spot in the world-renowned '50 Sexiest Asian Women List 2013' with Chopra coming second, Dhami third and Padukone fourth.
A permanent fixture in the top three for the past six years, Kaif beat off competition from the world's most stunning Asian women in the tenth edition of UK based, Eastern Eye newspaper's definitive Sexy List.
The fourth win comes just weeks before Katrina hits the big screen again in one of the year's biggest Bollywood releases 'Dhoom 3: Back In Action'.
"I didn't know it was a record! That's a nice surprise and a lot of fun to hear. I like it because Eastern Eye newspaper is the one my sisters see because they live in London. It's lovely, but also people are reacting to what they see.
"Obviously if everyone were to see me when I wake up in the morning or in my track pants and then vote for me, then maybe I would be a little bit more believing of it myself. But of course it's very flattering," Katrina said.
Chairman of the judging panel and magazine's showbiz editor Asjad Nazir, who annually puts the list together, said it was a close race.
Like last year, the biggest surprise of 2013 list was the sheer dominance of television actresses from India. Dhami added to a dream year by becoming the first television actress to crack the top three while her friend Sanaya Irani entered the top 10 for the first time at sixth position.
Other Indian television actresses who made the list included last year's highest new entry Nia Sharma (11), Jennifer Winget (15), Asha Negi (18), Krystle D'Souza (19) and Rubina Dilaik (26).
The highest new entry was 'Aashiqui 2' star Shraddha Kapoor (12), who narrowly missed out the top 10. The highest placed Pakistani was Humaima Malick (15) and the only non-Indian in the list was 'Anger Management' star Noureen DeWulf (10).
The American actress, who stars alongside Charlie Sheen in the hit US sitcom, dominated the non-Asian vote. The oldest women in the list were Bollywood icons Madhuri Dixit (23) and Sridevi (40).
Other notable stars in this year's list include Sonam Kapoor (5), Parineeti Chopra (14), Sophie Choudry (21), Mehreen Syed (22), Sunidhi Chauhan (28), Ankita Lokhande (29) Hina Khan (31) and Shreya Ghoshal (43).
2013's full list is out on December 6 in the magazine.
The chill is slowly seeping in giving hints of the arrival of the cosy winter. And along with that the celebration mode will be in full swing with Christmas and New Year being round the corner. But before we bid farewell to the year 2013, let's have a look at the Top 10 actresses who truly charmed the TV screen and made a place in the viewer's heart.

Asha Negi- This beautiful girl has managed to fly high in her personal and professional life. And this show also helped her connect with her reel life hero Rithvik Dhanjani and get struck by cupid off screen too. The oh-so-in-love' couple is grabbing eyeballs with their superb performance on the latest season of the celebrity dance show Nach Baliye.
Deepika Singh- The numero uno show on TV- Diya Aur Baati Hum (Star Plus) has been stuck on the top of the list with a heart touching subject and perfect casting. And thus playing the wife of a halwai with dreams of becoming an IPS officer is the chirpy Deepika aka Sandhya. The young and fiery girl has always maintained a confident and honest approach towards her personal and professional life. This year saw the girl become a full fledged biwi and daughter-in-law in the show and now she is all set to step into the tough training mode of a police officer.
Disha Parmar- This newbie got to taste instant success as Pankhuri on her show Pyaar Ka Dard Hai...Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara. The Star Plus show has Disha paired with the good looking Nakuul Mehta, and their sweet and lovable chemistry has made them a household name. The lovely girl is a good find for the TV with her apt Indian looks. Pankhu aka Dikha is definitely here to stay.
Disha Vakani- The lady may not top in the list of gorgeous actress, but she is one of the most talented actors in recent times. Her portrayal of the Gujrati woman who is a fantastic garba dancer in her popular show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah on SAB TV has brought instant glory to her. With the show running for more than five years now, Disha has completely got into her character of daya ben and is seen behaving and talking like her even when the camera has stopped rolling.
Drashti Dhami- She is one of the most popular faces on TV industry today and has immense fan following. After romancing Gurmeet Choudhary in Geet and now Vivian D'sena in Colors' Madhubala, her on-screen chemistry with her co-actors has added up to her popularity. And how can we forget the beauty taking home the Jhalak Trophy last season along with her talented choreographer Salman Yussuf Khan. This girl is definitely on a rol.
Hina Khan- A Rajan Shahi protg, Hina has managed to grow as an actor in the last five years that her show has been running on the TV screen. With no background in the industry, this MBA student rose to fame with her first show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. The shy and simple girl today has become confident and smart and her portrayal as a today's woman who can look after her family and work is well appreciated.
Jennifer Winget- This pretty girl has always been a favourite with the masses, but with her showSaraswatichandra on Star Plus the girl has managed to strike a chord with the critics too. Her impeccable acting talent and a beautiful face, the portrayal of the Gujrati strong and independent Kumud has made her a superstar. And of course her much talked about on-screen chemistry with Gautam and off-screen with her hubby Karan Singh Grover adds to her popularity.
Ridhi Dogra- The very attractive Riddhi had the power to shoulder a show completely alone on her petite shoulder. Her Life OK show, Savitri had her playing the title role and even when the show could not manage to get good numbers the girl truly rocked with her sheer talent. The fiery Savitri was well suited for Riddhi who has a special fire in her belly to achieve greater heights which is clearly visible in her eyes. Currently being a part of Nach Baliyealong with husband Raqesh, the dancing diva is doing wonders on the stage.
Sanaya Irani- Even when her last show Chhanchhan on Sony TV was brushed away by viewers and critics, the talent of this beautiful girl has helped her bag the Colors' show Rang Rasiya. One of the most loved celebrities on TV, the girl also finds herself in the circle of controversy with no reason. With her show raring to go, Sanaya is surely going to welcome the New Year with a high.
Surbhi Jyoti- This Punjabi pataka, who entered the TV world as the lovable Zoya Farooqui in Zee TV's Qubool Haihas instantly become a household name. With Karan Singh Grover as her man, they chemistry was bound to work, and it sizzled like how. Her chatty and bubbly character has made Surbhi really popular and her acting too is worth a mention. This girl is surely an asset to the industry.
