No you don't sound stupid at all! I wasn't very clear. This isn't set at the time of his phone call, it's set at the start of his chapter. The chapter spans a few hours and at the end of it, he receives the phone call.

For a second I was like 😳 How could I have been so stupid? I am going to double check now to be sure 😆
