Chapter 3

Next Morning!

Maan woke up first and saw that Geet was still sleeping. He pulled her closer and kissed her cheek. Geet moaned softly at being disturbed. "Good morning, Mishty!" Maan whispered softly into her ear.

"Hmm! Let me sleep!" came the groggy reply.

"I will let you sleep but I don't think your kids will let you sleep anymore." He could already hear their footsteps. "I swear, they never wake up on their own for school." He said removing the duvet and walking toward the door. The boys were already knocking loudly on the door and they could also hear Aryan screaming to open the door.

As soon as Maan opened the door the kids ran into the room screaming for their mother. Veer and Yash jumped directly on the bed, while Aryan was struggling.

"And Good morning to you guys too!" Maan said after being ignored by his kids. He walked over to the bed and picked Aryan up and sat on the bed with him. Aryan crawled to his mother and gave her a big kiss on the cheek. "Good morning, baby!" Geet said and started tickling his tummy.

"Dad, you remember your promise, right?" Asked Yash.

"Promise? What promise? I don't remember anything."

"You said you will spend the whole day with us and you will do whatever we ask you to do." Veer reminded him.

"Still can't remember anything"

"Mama, dekho nah!" Both the kids pleaded to their mother.

"Mujhe kuch nahin pata. I wasn't even there when he promised you guys." She didn't want to get involve but after looking at Veer and Yash's sad and pleading face she just couldn't help it. "Maan, if you promised them then why are you breaking it?"

"Because all the morning hugs and kisses were only for you and nothing for me." he said dramatically.

As soon as Veer and Yash realized their mistake, they jumped at Maan and bombarded him with hugs and kisses. Even Aryan moved to hug and kiss his dad.

Veer: "So, you remember the promise now?"

Maan: "Nope, still can't remember it!"

Yash: "What? Why?"

Maan: "I still haven't received a hug or kiss from your mama!"

Geet looked at Maan and he winked at her, with his arms wide open for a hug. The kids also started chanting, "hug hug" Geet got on her knees and moved to give him his hug and kisses.

Geet, with the help of Maan, gave the kids a quick shower and put on one of their favorite movie. They quickly got ready too and headed downstairs. Daadi was already waiting for them at the dining table. The kids ran to greet their Daadi. They all sat down to have their breakfast and they chatted about last night party. Geet stopped eating when she felt like she is about to throw up. She tried to keep her food down but when she couldn't do it anymore, she ran toward the nearest bathroom.

Everyone at the table witnessed Geet's changing expressions and then her mad dash to the bathroom. Maan quickly got up and followed after her, telling Daadi not to worry about it.
