Finally made it here!

one word AWESOME..

baki ka ye raha.!😉

To describe this chapter in a single phrase, I'll say it was 'heartwarming'. Really touching with the way a few things were!

'Darji had warned me against being friendly with city boys'
This is a strange thing. Why do we always see the negative first? The first thing that elders do is warn their children about the big, bad world out there. Even though the elders are right in warning us beforehand, I still feel that young minds should get a more positive overview of the things rather than the negative ones.

Geet's concern over what those eyes were trying to say and her self-chiding was so natural, something that you'd expect someone like her to do, someone who sometimes sees deeper than intended and then give a reality check to themselves. It was kind of cute, the way she scolded herself.

I was laughing throughout the part of the hostel-mates! 😆 The Guru girl, the official kicker and the victim Doc, the mysterious girl and the sweet padhaku, the cartoon-lover, the cat-crazy administrator, the computer whiz and the shayara. But most of all, Mrs.Yash. You made her a mother of a kid? Wo khush ho gayi? 😆

The way all the neighbors rushed to help Geet and her Darji in time of need only serves to prove that there still are people who care for someone other than their own blood-bonds, that there still is goodness around us and it makes way to us when we really need it...

I got a little emotional when I read the journey of a small orphan girl with her aging grandfather and how they both struggled to live, to live for each other. I could see everything from their walks to Darji trying to tie her hair, to her kissing his fingers to heal his burns. It was all like a life-story of someone running in front of my eyes and I couldn't help but be a part of it all; smiling to see the two walk hand-in-hand amidst the green, tearing up when he tried to do little things for her and chuckling when she punched a girl. Theirs is a relationship so deep that I can't help but be awed!

I can't say that I'm happy with Geet's decision to not return. But had I been in her place, I would have done the same thing; I'd have given up my own life to care for someone I love. She's not wrong in deciding to stay back, though if Darji has always encouraged education, he won't be happy about her decision. I loved the example of animals and their differentiation with humans. Indeed, humanity is what differentiates a man from an animal.

The song selection was perfect, aptly chosen for this chapter. And this is one of the songs that always leave me a little high on emotions.

Thanks for updating Avi! 🤗

It's true that change is the only thing constant in life, and this constancy is very important for every single person. But if we see the changes through a negative lense, it will do us no good. Instead it will just drag us down in a pit deeper than we can imagine. The same is the case with Maan. Even though he did think of it positively, the ever-present pessimism took over and now he's wallowing. Walking the same path to her hostel, he can't help but feel the chill of the air and how it's affecting him negatively. Had he been walking beside Geet in this very weather, his opinion and the weather's effects would have been totally opposite. It's strange how much important someone becomes for us to carry on in contentment.

The battle between ego and love is something which rages on and on, never seemingly ending. Just like the only danger to ego is love, the thing that is mostly affected due to ego is love. When words 'I', 'me', 'myself' and questions like 'why always me' or 'why should I', come more often, this is the first step to the destruction of love in any relationship, even if it is a silent, nameless bond. The way you explored both the sides of love and ego was wonderful. I could actually feel myself pulled between the two, as if I'm the one experiencing it all. And the song just added to the feel of Maan's hurt, his pain and his distress. If I only look at it all from Maan's perspective, I'll be a little angry with Geet for putting him through this. But no, I won't do that. Because I know the war Geet is fighting with herself, the fight between her own wishes and what she feels indebted to do. She isn't at fault and I can only sympathise with her own dilemma.

Poor Geet! Innocent students with genuine reasons for not showing up get yelled at because of those who make up excuses for their absence. Maan getting angry on hearing her getting shouted at was the victory of love over ego. Love conquers ego! That walk was all that was needed to calm my anxiety over their individual internal battles. It gave me relief, even though Geet will be going back to her village in some time, that they will have some sort of a connection. Glad that Maan took the opportunity to be in link with her through any means.

Thanks for updating Avi! You already know what I really loved in this chapter. 🤗

Avi …. You're an awesome writer, a very talented one. 👏

This chapter was such gelling of sorts of all emotions & extremes. Right from the title 'Walking with you' which depicted the positivism & need of young love with all the innocence & naivety; to the negative extreme of emotions that was shown by means of tug of war between love & ego arising from his inherent fear of loneliness& insecurity of being left lonely. The song well depicted & emphasised that negativity & fear 'Tanhayee' beautiful music selection, bang on. Later in the end of the part the beautiful culmination in form of love filled victory over all negativity by help fo earlier advice of walking on the same path following the foot prints, & being there for her in his own way by sharing notes without her knowledge.

I really like how you keep connectivity in chapters. This time you connected the advice Aisha gave him for him to overcome the strong barrier his ego placed in front of his budding love.

His Dad's advice are something we all know & have sometime in life heard about them, yet each of them are very profound & worth dwelling upon. What makes it very touching & beautiful here is that each of the advice he remembers & relates to as the feeling of his Dad being with & around him, something that is given to him as pearls of wisdom from his father's vast experience as his love for his son. Indeed 'Change is only thing that is permanent in life', but then its up to each one on the way its perceived & dealt with.

I loved the push-pull between his heart & mind & your portrayal through words that this war within him causes coldness to seep into him was so aptly put together. The way you put words to the arguments & age old war between Ego & Love …. Was so beautiful, I had to pause & just let everything to seep in. Very well written, those few paragraphs & the words woven were the highlight s of the part for me. 👏👏

Eyes do the talking. Yes, but sometimes even actions & words are needed for laying a firm foundation for a stronger relation, otherwise sometimes silence can lead to wrong assumptions & insecurities can lead to cracks to creep in even in a budding bond when the feelings themselves aren't yet understood & accepted. The song & the feelings of M-G both very fused so well, the longing, angst, hiding & fighting within was all described that nothing more was needed. Everything was well felt & was like being played in front of my eyes.

I'm happy he took a step toward s her though remaining behind as a support in an unknown form but then always there for her & leaving me with a hope that sometime they will come to a stage where they will start walking together side-side within the warmth of each other's presence. 😳

Continue soon…. Thanks for such a beautiful part. 🤗
